The customer service at Office Depot is awful. Called to request status of an order I place on 1/13/22 because as of 1/20/22, items were still not received. Status online is not helpful at all, stating a date that the items were shipped but still not received by me the customer does not help determine when I can expect to receive items.

There is no way to cancel the order once it is placed, only refuse the packages when they do arrive or take them back to the store yourself!

Lastly, the customer service representative was attitudinal, put me on hold without saying she was doing so and never returned to the phone call.

This is a loss to Office Depot because I have been using them at this current company for almost five years. After today, I will be looking for a new supplier for all…

Order#200425155 I ordered some envelopes that were falsely described as being self-seal when they require wetting the glue to close. I have called several times and gotten ticket #s that were supposed to generate a return. The other day I received an email stating that I cannot return the item because it was a special order.

I even checked my order history online to see if there was anything saying I could not return the item but did not find anything. They are plain envelopes, what's special? I am returning them because they are not self seal as described, that's false advertising.

I would like to have these picked up and my account credited the cost.

I ordered two office chairs on Nov 26h ( Black Friday), I got an email that my order was in and it would be shipped soon. It never shipped and they cancelled my order. When I called and told them I didn't cancel my order, they said I would now have to pay full price if I still want the chairs.

4 inch tablet. 4 inch. This happened 3 different times. I returned the wrong tablet unopened. I had to pay each time for a new tablet and wait on my refund. Each time after lengthy phone conversations and being promised by what I was told to be a “manager “ that the order would be physically checked before shipping.

I later found out I was only talking to phone centers in foreign countries. At one time I had the money for all 3 tablets tied up. The last time I received the wrong one. I requested a return and shipped the wrong one out on November 18th.

I have received my refund on 2 of the return but as of 12-4-21 I have not received final payment. This has been the worst experience I have had with any company. I am attaching orders numbers.

My complaint is very poor customer service. I was the only customer in line waiting to be called up by the sales associate once the kiosk text message confirmed it was my turn. There were 7 to 8 employees standing around in one area including management not helping anyone.

RETURN AND REFUND NIGHTMARE

Initiated request for refund and return online of three chairs I purchase on 9/17/2021 - Return Order# 201845780. Had to speak to four different representative and send each of them photos before they finally told me they had to contact the vendor to get the shipping instructions and pickup date because the chairs were shipped directly from the vendor. I also had to clarify at least three different times to three different representatives that I was only return three of the four chairs I purchased.

It took more than two weeks for Office Depot to request a pickup day from the vendor. Finally, they emailed me to let me know they would be at our home to pick up the chairs on 9/28/2021. On 9/28/2021 we put the packaged chairs outside out door. No one showed up on…

The last two times I have come to this stor, the members seem to have little to know passion for customer service. They are rude. Today’s experience was just that, I asked the associate for the store number to send an email to the print and copy section, and he replied the store number hasn’t changed.

He told me the store number 5 minutes before but going through my email and being a advocate and Office Depot consumer I have a lot of store numbers that pop up in my email. The statement was completely unprofessional and he seemed to be so casual about it, like I meant nothing.

His name was Jeff and it’s just unacceptable. I live in Richardson and I literally cringe every time I come into this store because I know my customer experience will be poor.

Our county has a business account with your company. We used to receive invoices by email, which always gave us a paper trail, if someone lost one of the invoices and needed another copy. Now we receive them by mail, at least 3 weeks after they are printed, which only leaves us a week to process & mail. IMPOSSIBLE! We have several departments that place orders, that are managed through here, the finance office.

For the past month, I have tried to reach my account rep, and another rep who had helped us in the past, 'MARIA.VASQUEZ and Marcos Carcamo, multiple times with no response. We have old invoices on our statement that I have been trying to get copies of, however, no one will call me back or reply to emails.

I place an order on 8/12/2021. The Realspace 22"D Vertical 4-Drawer File Cabinet,Metal, Black. The cabinet was delivered to me with the 2nd drawer bent. I was offered a $60 credit and later a discount of $60 was given to me.

My complaint is that the customer service rep did not get back to me when she promised that she would the next day. My biggest compliant is the fact that I was not allowed to just exchange the file cabinet for a new undamaged file cabinet.

Instead I had to repurchase the item. It is my opinion that this was a very inconvenience to me. I hope that your company take this into consideration and implement new procedures that will allow customers to exchange items like my file cabinet.

Because of this experience I will not purchase large items from Office Depot anymore.

I went into my local office depot/ office max-in Canton on Ford Rd and Morton Taylor, around 5:30 pm on Monday August 23. I asked the young lady behind the counter to print off something from my phone, I’ve done it many times.

I am a 75 year old woman, who this morning, 8:30am, was treated very badly at Office Depot, Tigard, Or. I have a variety of health issues and had to lift my visor to breath when at the check stand while settling the bill.

Jen Mitchell, the assistant manager yelled at me to put my visor down. She was like a Nazi in her vigor and a customer joined in on her bad behavior and also verbally attacked me . The manager, Charles Cook, witnessed this rude and abusive behavior. Mr.

My husband and I stopped in the store around 5:00 PM on August 9th, 2021 to purchase an office chair. Due to our not so sunny weather in Florida at this time (pouring down rain) we bought a chair and I asked if someone could put the chair in our vehicle when my husband pulled to the curb.

The young man said he could not do it until stopped raining. Unfortunately the rain did not let up and was still raining after we got home about 7:00 PM. My husband just had hip replacement surgery and was told not to pick up heavy objects which I told the young man.

Ordered HP printer; was told it was being packaged and ready to send; then rec'd an email stating it wasn't available and that my order was being canceled. Nothing was said about it being on back order or when it might come in.

However, was told that the protection plan would be delivered as promised. Why I don't know as I wasn't getting the printer. I ordered from another vendor and rec'd the printer. Then Office Depot notifies me that the printer, once again, was in and was going to be packaged/delivered.

The Office Max in Elko NV are a bunch of non-hackers. I have been on hold now for 35 minutes waiting for a manager to assist in retrieving a receipt that was supposed have been emailed at time of purchase.

I ordered a brand new HP laptop on 7/24/21. I received an e-mail on 7/27/21 saying my order was in and the estimated delivery date was 8/4/21. Then on 7/30/21 I received a clearly used Dell laptop (with no power cord) in an HP box.

This HP box was addressed to Karl(a) Garcia in Sunnyvale, CA. I called Office Depot customer service (1-800-463-3768) on 7/30/21 to tell them I was sent the wrong item and was told I would have to use my gas to drive to the nearest Office Depot to return it.

Why do I have to go anywhere to return something when it was not my mistake? I have one more item I ordered, once that is delivered (hopefully the correct item) I will not use Office Depot for future purchases.

I tried to purchase an air conditioner which was advertised online with 30% off, I was not allowed to apply the discount online,I had to go through a representative and argue with them in order to get it. I ordered the item by phone on 7/16 and was told it would be delivered by 7/27.

As it wasn't delivered I called to determine the problem and was given the run around and after I told them that UPS hadn't even received the item, they admitted it hadn't even been shipped yet!?! When I asked for a refund I was met with more run around.

I can't even seem to get a receipt of the transaction emailed to me after asking 3 times. My order number is 183586448. I can't understand why I couldn't have picked it up at the store but I was told I couldn't with the discount.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I waited in line over 5 mins almost 10 while the worker completely ignored me. She was just walking around talking and did nothing acknowledge me at all. This is NOT the first time that I have encountered horrible customer service from this particular individual.

After I walked away from researching on my own I seen I could use self service. Once I walked away she started saying to another employee how she did not care about this job. She didn’t care about customers and did jot care whether or not she would get fired.

It does not matter to her. Office Depot needs her not the other way around. I hope you all talk with this employee about her professionalism and also her customer service skills. She clearly needs extensive training and a new attitude.

Went into Office Depot on the corner of Bluebonnet and Perkins in Baton Rouge to purchase a printer. needed one that was wifi, could fax, print and scan. I had been in earlier and knew the one I wanted and ready to purchase.

Prior to purchasing, decided to print a form from my flash drive that was password protected. As luck would have it, neither printer was functional.. I know one has been non functional for at least a month and now the second one is down.

Years ago at the Office Depot in Trussville. I purchased toner. Told them several times to close any account and do not Automatically send me toner. 2020 I had to contact them again. 2nd visit to warner Robin'd Ga. Location in recent days. 3 customers in line to check out. No cashier. Saw 3 or 4 employees milling about the store. The lady running the copy dept. Had called someone in the back 2 or 3 times.

No one came to operate the register.

Finally the copy lady walked to the back and returned with someone to operate the register. A very gruff person finally checked me out. This happened on 6/29/21 in morning. On the earlier visit no one offered to assist me in selecting a print cartridge.

My conclusion is: if you want my continued business you folks HD better hit competent people that are customer oriented. Else wise, at an inconvenience to me, I'll take my little business to Macon or on line. Thanks for listening. Allen

We requested a return on an item and was told that it will be picked up by their carrier. On June 11th, around at 3:02 PM their carrier came und picked up an item from our door that was delivered to us as part of our purchase and we were expecting to receive that day.

Stopped in your store #615 in St Cloud, Minnesota. I needed to print a document that had been forwarded to me in my text messages. I'm 71 years old and not familiar with today's technology. When I asked for assistance on a self serve machine the young lady informed me she could "not touch" my phone.

I then said I do not want you to touch my phone but rather tell me how to get the document from my phone to the printer. She informed me " she was too busy with other printing matters" and could not help me.

I then went outside, called the store and asked to meet w\the manager. The manager came to the front of the store, an elderly lady, and she too informed me they were to busy to assist. I GOT IT! No need to respond.

Absolutely horrible service. Went into an office depot and stood in line. Keep in mind, I am the next customer in line. Waited and watched as 2 other people were helped before me. I actually told one guy that they can Laminate here and he was helped before me.

Yes I was talking to him while in line and yes he was helped before me. I stood there another 5 Minutes and no one bothered to help. 7 employees in the store, only 1 was actually working. I will take my business and my company's business to Staples, where they value their customers.

At the Office Depot #832 on MLK Avenue in Portland, OR, the public copiers take up to 15 -20 minutes to send a single scanned image to a USB drive. Sometimes I'll wait that long and it STILL doesn't work. I have tried this with various USB drives. There are two copier / scanners there for this purpose and it's the same with them both. It loads and loads and loads for minutes on end, with zero results. The only alternative then is to scan it to my e-mail address as a pdf (I DON'T WANT A PDF but for some reason jpegs are unavailable for e-mail), or having it done at the service counter for ten times the amount.

I cannot begin to tell you how much this pisses me off. FIX YOUR SCANNERS. JESUS CHRIST.

I took two computers to Office depot store #212 I wanted both computers reset and updated to the latest windows. Well the Desk Top was a windows 7 computer and the lady advised not updating it to windows 10 or else it would crash.

I agreed to update the computer to windows 8 as I have never had an issue and didn't want it to crash. About a week goes by and my computer is ready a different lady calls me and tells me it is done and now has windows 10 on it.

I confronted her about what the other rep said she then called the guy that updated it and he said it would be fine and that it went on with no problem. I use a walker and went into Office Depot to find moving boxes and supplies. There were seven employees off to my right, three in the print shop with one customer, and several talking in groups. No one at the cash registers.

I received no greeting and was largely ignored. As I looked through moving supplies I could hear groups of employees talking. I didn’t see any help on the floor. I figured out a way to maneuver five med. flat boxes and hold onto my walker. It was slow going.

Several people were in line at the print shop, but no one at registers. It was hard to know where to go.

I went to your store in Inverness Florida today to purchase ink for my printer. I looked for my ink and couldn’t find it. I went to the front to ask someone for help. The lady I spoke with said I needed to bring in my old ink cartridge to see if they have one.

I showed her the number on my ink cartridge. She looked it up and said, we don’t carry that. She was very unprofessional and sarcastic when she spoke to me. I went back to look again and found the ink I needed after being told by Kim that they don’t carry that one.

36 on 4/21/21 and have just paid the bills for this. On 4/30/21 I turned in 10 empty ink cartridges to the nearby local Office Depot. 10 in rewards. I contacted one of the Office Depot chat agents and was assured I would get the $20 rewards by the end of May.

I noticed I never got them. It says under rewards activity on my account that I earned $20 in rewards on 4/30/21. I was going to return one of the items from the order, but decided not to and your chat agent cancelled that return.

I contacted a chat agent yesterday and they told me I didn't buy $10 of merchandise to get the reward and then he changed the story and said I would get the $20 in rewards. The chat ended with him not communicating for over 5 minutes, so I ended the chat.

I went to the Ocala, FL location and the Gainesville, FL location on 13th Street. Literally the worst experience I have even had with the print departments from Office Depot. I put in an order for 2 different signs. One I needed 2 of and the other was double sided.

I called the Ocala location before and after placing the order. They told me they received all the information for the signs. I drove 45 minutes to that location in order to get my signs the same day, as promised.

I ordered a L shape desk with the hutch, a chair and a writing desk on May 5, 2021. The chair was delivered on time. The L shaped desk with the hutch did not arrive the date of delivery. I waited and checked the tracking status which stated that the desk was out for delivery.

After waiting for hours I called the customer service number. I was told that the carrier did not deliver the item because the writing desk that I ordered was not in stock. They rescheduled the delivery. A few days later the L shape desk arrived damaged.

I asked to speak to a supervisor. He told me that I would receive a credit. I was told that I would have to cancel the order for the writing desk. I asked that my complaint be escalated to the corporate office.

My name is Eduardo Valladolid, and I have been going to the office depot on HWY151 and 410 for over 2 years . I used to get helped by a very knowledgeable employee named Peter. He was awesome at his job. Then when he was gone by a Hispanic older lady that fell down one day, and I helped her to get up when that incident happened. In the past month I have been helped by a young Asian young lady who is also very friendly and knowledgeable.

I tell you all this, and in addition to sending a picture of all the receipts I have kept for tax purposes, to validate the statement that I have been going to this location for a freaking long time.

Here is the problem, TODAY I WAS TREATED VERY RUDELY AND IN ADDITION THE GM. PAGE WAS SNICKERING AND TALKING TO ANOTHER CUSTOMER ABOUT THE SITUATION.

C. on 5/13/21. The young lady that talked to me at the copy desk was rude,not helpful and did not offer me any options to help me get the services that I needed. I went to Office Depot to get something printed.

As a long time Office Depot customer ,I've never had a negative experience at your store. I was so shocked at her indifference that I asked her how long she had been working at Office Depot. She advised me that she had worked at the store for 3 months.

She told me I should be able to create my document on my computer at home. I advised her that I had no desire to create the document at home and I asked her if she could give me suggestions on who could do the work for me. She said ,"no".

Office Depot has RUDE employees and need some basic Customer Service training.

The worst part of it all is that this is coming from the management team.

I bought an Xbox gift card that wasn't even activated when I purchased it. I reported the problem to the store and they said to come in the next day. I go in the next day, they cancel the old card and give me a new one. Same problem occurs. I go back a THIRD time to the store and they say I have to contact Microsoft. Mind you, Microsoft claims we have to contact the seller.

Gabriel Mejia even went as far as saying don't you think you spent more on gas coming in to complain?

That's besides the fact. He didn't buy me the gift card nor does he have the right to say something so negative whilst wearing a badge with a company logo.

Went into Office Depot in Colorado Springs off Academy and Galley on 4/17 at 4:45 pm We were looking at printer that coast over $200 and were trying to price out ink and had not been there longer than 4 minutes. An employee walks up and says they are closing in 5 min.

NO sign on the door, and the hours are till 7pm. I responded "that was new and she says its because they don't have the staff to remain open. They had 4 employees on site and only 3 customers. After 5 min she walks back up and says, we are now closed, you need to leave.

I purchased your brand of printer ink cartridges both black and color. I printed 4 pages and it ran out of ink. I purchased that brand because I can't afford the name brand. This was a waste of money. I didn't mention when I opened the ink it got all over my hands.
