Ranessa Yates was extremely rude, didn't introduce herself and started asking for detailed information for providers without giving all HIPAA identifiers for the patient she was calling on. She then spoke to a coworker and complained about me. It was extremely unprofessional.

I've been having UTI's and visited my doctor at Optum Adult Health in the Journal Center in Albuquerque, NM, on 8/6 as I was finishing up a regimen of antibiotics. On 8/10 the UTI was back and around midday I called my doctor's office to find out if she could provide a prescription or if I needed to go to Urgent Care.

They said they'd get back to me. I heard nothing on 8/10. I called in the morning of 8/11 complaining of pain and again asking about a prescription. I was told they'd put ASAP on the message. I heard nothing.

I called at 4:30 to see what was happening. I was switched over to the triage nurse's extension. I sat on the phone for 1/2 hr and then was automatically switched to the after-hours answering service at 5PM. This is very, very poor response and client service, and I am…

Every single call to Optum is an absolute NIGHTMARE!!! Every claim I call about it is "handled by a dedicated team" and results in endless transfers. e. out of network benefit information when we're an in network provider). Your off shore representatives do not understand nor know how to resolve claim issues.

This is why providers do not want to accept insurance. There is never a supervisor available to speak to and requests to be transferred to an on shore agent are met with them disconnecting the call. There is NEVER any follow-up or follow-thru on resolution of issues and no accountability for multiple transfers, disconnects, etc.

You intentionally waste the time of the providers to avoid paying claims!

It is there goal to make sure providers don't get the maximum reimbursement. They tell you that your records are reviewed by a billing and coding specialist, however you never get to speak to the medical records auditors' nor is the review the same.

We will dictate medical records the same way and on 1 claim it pays and another it denies. At this point UHC won't over turn any decisions once Optum deny's the claims. Its a scam of a company. I wouldn't recommend this insurance company to anyone or the review company if my life depended on it.

The auditors state everything is bundled but when you ask for more documentation or the policy of where this info is coming from they can't site you the policy just they can't help you and you can't speak to an auditor.

On July 20, I discovered bleeding while drying myself after urinating. I call the Optum office at 675 Arroyo Parkway in Pasadena. My doctor, Veronica Banta was not available that day, so I had a phone appointment with doctor Mandeep Kaur Singh.

She prescribed a urine analysis and sulfamethoxazole-tmp DS tablet, generic for Bactrim DS, 1 tablet by mouth twice a day. She told me to wait for the result of the urine analysis before taking this antibiotic. I did what she recommended.

In the morning of July 21, I went to the Optum office at 675 Arrroyo Parkway and gave my urine sample. In the afternoon of July 21, I received a call from the Optum office at 675 Arroyo Parkway telling me I had a mild urine infection.

I tried to call OptumRX on 07/6/21, at around 5pm, about a specialty medication that I currently have delivered at the Doctor's office. I wanted information on if I start getting the medication delivered at home, what happens is the medication is stolen from my Door Step. The female rep cut me off. kept on interrupting me and never listened to my question.

After she finally took the time to listen, she transferred me to the specialty pharmacy where again, the Male Rep was rude. Did not listen to my question and kept on cutting me off.

I received terrible service from both representatives. If I had a choice, I would never use your services again. Then when I was done talking to the Male Rep, he refused to hang up[ the call, so I could not do the survey.

I have tried to get my medication filled for over a week now--I am now late to take my meds. Each time a called (daily for a week) the customer service person was kind and friendly and said they would ship out my medication in the next couple of days.

So when I did the stupid survey at the end of the call they got high marks. And then I would check on line and there was an error--no one called no one emailed had I not checked I would have thought everything was fine.

I don't care that there were issues I care that the customer service person LIED to me that everything was fine when it wasn't AND even if they were telling the truth--call me back and tell me that there is an issue. This is not the only time I have had issues.

My elderly mother needed a referral for an MRI that her PCP ordered. This was faxed twice to a clinic recommended by her PCP. Twice the clinic stated to my mother that they did not receive the referral. On the third time the clinic notified my mom that they were not in her insurance network.

My mom then called her PCP's office (Dr. Anozi at Optum Rio Rancho NM) to inform them that the referral would have to be faxed to another clinic that was approved by her insurance. Ashley, who is Dr. Anozie's receptionist, answered the phone and was apparently bothered by mother's request for a new referral. ".

My mother then asked Ashley if she knew of any other clinics that would accept her insurance. Ashley said yes and my mother asked if she could get a list of those clinics. Ashley again…

Hello, I tried to order my VERY IMPORTANT prescription (VICTOZA) from OPTUMRX, and they wouldn't refill it for me because I have a past due balance. I CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY this at the moment, due to COVID-19, and a reduction in my hours!

This medication is extremely important in maintaining blood sugar control. I'm highly disappointed in this company, that they would prevent me from taking my meds because of MONEY! I'm going to report to the BBB and drug admin, and whomever else I need to.

Optum is completely mismanaged. Doctors prefer virtual consultations. It takes 15 minutes and as an long-term insulin-dependent diabetic with other cronic disabilities, it will never work for me. Two doctors canceled appointment, the most recent one being my endocrinologist after I left a somewhat garbled voice message explaining that Fiasp fast-acting insulin delays for upwards to two hours. Her office called me on Wednesday to say that Dr. Hsieh wants me to schedule with another endocrinologist., although I still presumable have an appointment with her on the 18th.

Just so you know, I am sending a copy of this statement to a third party in the advent I die. Right now the Fiasp insulin seemingly is not working. I injected it today and I need to wait another hour to see if isn't working.…

My daughter is on the oral chemotherapy medication Revlimid. On 4/13/21 Dr. Larsen, her Hematologist at Mayo, sent in an Rx for her next course of Revlimid, asking for it to be rushed, as the pregnancy test would expire on 4/18, which is a requirement before disbursement.

Per Mayo Hematology department, Ashley Stapp, who was working on the case, was told the Rx was placed in a queue and no one had worked on it, so the pregnancy test expired, as did the Celgene authorization number, so it was unable to be dispensed in a timely fashion to start the patient's next round of oral chemotherapy.

This required a very ill cancer patient to return to the clinic and repeat the serum pregnancy test on a day she had already spent at the clinic getting her other chemotherapy. This is an unconscionable…

my husband has worked for his same provider for over three years. So we've had OptumRx for the same time phrame. Now we have not had any complaints about med prices and what not. Until recently. So I went to see my doctor about being put on Qsymia. A weight loss drug.

I have been on phentermine and topiramate through Tricare years back. Figured I'd give it another go. It was easy peesy. not at all. So you can buy the meds out of pocket. Sure. For $94 of half a month's worth. 14 pills. That's it.

Which I NEVER would do. A. Well it got denied a few days later due to "my insurance plan". According to several of the OptumRx reps I need to upgrade my plan in order to qualify for Qsymia. Now this is where it gets funny. Lol.

I saw Dr. Mariano Myron/ Surgeon today (3/24) at Glendora Office. I had an infected, strong foul smelly, and discharging Sabaceous Cyst on abdomen. The cyst started discharging 3/18th night. I was on antibiotic given by PCP on 3/17th but it did not help!

Dr. Mariano agreed to perform surgery today & explained about the procedure with a few stitches. He questioned about allergies, medical & surgery history, etc. and left the room. He returned and said they need approval. I confirmed Optum is good with approvals. I offered myself to call Optum and explain my situation.

This company is the worst. They have called me EVERYDAY for a balance I NEVER got a bill for. I asked for an itemized bill to be sent so I can get reimbursed after I pay the amount and they are STILL calling me everyday.

Last year, THEY lost a check and proceeded to harass me everyday while they looked for it. Even after the check was found, they sent my file to debt collection. If you need something from them, they will take MONTHS but if you "owe" $1, you will be called everyday.

I’ve been trying to work with optum Rx yo obtain a medication for my endometriosis for 3 weeks now. They have given me multiple excuses which all contradict each other. And as of now, they still cannot run the prior authorization and have told me it may take a few weeks.

My doctors appointment was scheduled for July 10th, and it is now the 15th with still no answers on when my provider will be able to obtain the medication. It’s been a horrible experience, to say the least. I will not recommend optum rx to anyone.

My physician's office contacted your prior authorization department 1-800-711-4555 on February 5 and obtained approval for 2 150mg and 1 75mg of Xolair injections every 2 weeks as I was instructed to do by your Specialty Pharmacy at 1-888-702-8423.

I visited my physician's office today and there was no medication. I called your specialty pharmacy and spoke to Joy, Air (a supervisor), Jofe with the prior authorization department and a few others as well. I was told that my physician would have to still call your specialty pharmacy for the prescription fill. Once a prescription has been approved by prior authorization, it should flow through for processing by your specialty pharmacy. Joy, the first person I spoke with was very condescending.

Worst insurance ever. Switched insurance to this one because I lost my benefits after changing jobs. Had to go through a painful PA process for a medication I had been on forever to stabilize a sleep disorder. PA was denied because the medication was not "FDA" approved for my condition.

Off label use happens all the time in medicine and the FDA approved medication is extremely expensive. Spoke to very unhelpful nurse who had no idea what was going on. Their motive is to NOT cover medications. Would not wish this prescription coverage on my worst enemy. "

Beginning around the first of April the medications I requested by phone were never filled. Supposedly because of unsuccessful attempts to reach my doctor which has never been a problem for me. Serious conflict started April 24th. I was not informed that OptumRx was filling, shipping, and charging me for a rx that I didn't request.

I didn't even know what it was for. Shipping and withdrawing the funds occurred faster than the speed of light. The shipment was intercepted practically at my front door. Why did I have to wait a month to get my money back?

No sure if this is the correct department. I am wanting to complain about Ootum ID and Optum EPS. I have tried for month to get a former employee who is the administrator to our web access for EPS. I have been given the run around stating that I have send in notarized letter stating who I am.

I am the Billing Manager and I need access to the ERA through EPS. A former employee still has access to that site. I sent in a administrative change letter that was emailed to me and now they want a notarized letter from me.

I have never heard of such a thing. I finally got my Optum ID but it took over a month to get it while being on a three way phone call with the former adminstrator because she wanted a screen shot of the account.

I received a phone call from someone who claimed they were from United Health Care yesterday. He told me that I needed a renewal of my Pravastatin medication. I told him that my cardiologist and I had decided that I was to get off my previous statin medication and after three weeks to try Pravastatin.

I told this man that I did not need a refil at this time. I also suspect that he contacted my pcp office and said that I needed a new prescription for Metformin, which is not true. I just picked up my prescription last week and it is good for 2 months.

I live in Las Vegas, yesterday I had ordered rides back and forth , my ride was supposed to pick me up at 3:30 to go home, the ride never showed up.I called Optum care numerous and no one answered , I learned today there was a 40 minute wait,I am 84 years old and am handicapped I didn't get home until after 5 at an expense of $12.50 which I want refunded .In all the years I traveled with Executive Cab this NEVER happened

The company claims that they are available 24/7. When calling on a Saturday afternoon and trying to get through to a customer service representative, the call simply went to the survey that takes place after a call. Nobody answered. Was simply forwarded to the survey. Obviously gave 0 responses on their survey which says from a level of 0-10, 0 being the worst score possible.

Made an online account to try to contact them and the SEND button doesn't even work after navigating through their system to send them a message. Send button does absolutely nothing. How are you supposed to reach these people to get any sort of assistance?

Undelivered ordered meds with me authorizing co pay. Was told by a supervisor ( Katie ) that my order was made on 2/3/18. Correct. Then stated optum attempted to notify me 3 time without my response. Wrong. Only notification on 2/4/18 that order was received.

On 2/6/18 email that immediate action was required. Done. I had to call 4 times to get my meds ordered correctly and overnighted. Been out of some of my meds for over a week. Out of INSULIN now. Personnel incompetent and negligence will cause someone death .

I have been a Medicaid provider for the last 15 years I have 60 to 80 Medicaid clients. I specialize in the SPMI population severely and persistently mentally ill. I left Changes Counseling because Christian Smalley the owner thought it was okay for Marvin Johns to make sexual comments to one of my clients. Mr. Smalley told me she deserved it because of the way she was dressed. He accused me of having PTSD because I took it, "so hard" I didn't go back all my client followed me to my new counseling center called healing house counseling.

Over 30 people were fired "laid off" yesterday and today at Tucson location. CEO made it clear that lawyers had composed the list of those unnecessary for business operations. Although another contract unit was available for agents to apply to, pending background check and urinalysis, a great deal of manpower and intention lost to those training for job as pharmacy tech.

Attendance was disregarded, and of course, those who attend regularly will make unintentional mistakes.

Prior auth was denied for my son's medication which he has been on for 3 months due to insufficient clinical data. Doctor's office called and did it again over the phone, everything should have been ok. My son met the clinical requirements for this drug due to the fact that he has tried and failed numerous in the same category. Also the medication already had a prior auth in place and just as needed the end date extended.
