Pepe boys of west Hartford CT. I took my vehicle 2003 escape for exhaust warranty work they told me gasket was bad tht it needed to be replaced and they had to order it. Tht was 2 days ago. I called again manager said it would be ready today part tht was ordered was wrong and they had the right part in stock .

And tht my vehicle would be done. In the third day I got 3 different stories when it would be done now I'm pissed 4 days for a damn gasket come one really.

They overcharged me 2,000 for four tires when I only needed two replaced. The service was horrible and they were rude ! I got robbed and the tires aren’t even brand new ! I already need new tires. One went flat and the other is already low

Hello,

I am writing about a bad experience at the El Paso, Texas location. It was the shop on N. Mesa st. I purchased two cooper adventurer tires there about 3 weeks ago for my Toyota Sienna van, 2011. One of them developed a bulge on the sidewall this week. I called and spoke to Carlos V, the agent who sold me the tires. He stated there was nothing he could do as the bulge was road hazard and I hadn’t purchased road hazard. This was over the phone. He suggested I contact cooper tire. I decided to bring the tire into the store and have it checked out. The agent at the desk, another individual, stated it was not covered as it was sustained due to a pothole or something else that was hit. He said it wasn’t a manufacturer’s defect. Ashwani S. has a filthy mouth and Raúl Castellanos told me that the wheel cylinder rubber caps for my 2011 Honda Insight that did not get put back on my wheel cylinders after a brake bleed service . I first called the tire shop to verify that they had the P2 15–60r16 in stock and available and the guy said they did I took my car in checked in they put it up on the rag and 39 minutes later I’m told they do not have that tire or anything comparable to the same price range such a waste of time so disappointed in you guys

I made an appointment for 11 o’clock AM. I got to the store at10:45AM on 12/14/21. They finally took took my car in at 11:45PM. I waited and waited for my car to be done. All i wanted was an oil change and a filter.

After 1 and 1/2 hours I finally went to the guy in the front of the store and said,, this is crazy to wait for an hour and thirty five minutes for an oil change and filter. He tried to bul**** me about some kind of metal plate cover.

I’m 74 and this was not my first rodeo. I also told him THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN AGAIN. I will not be back. He did COMP the whole job. ThankYou. I thought i saw an advertisement for $48 for an oil change and filter and found out the whole job cost $107.

That is insane price for an oil change and filter. I do have the paperwork to back up my claim.…

This is regarding a complaint with the following Pepboys located at 208-22 Jamaica Ave, Queens, NY 11428. Upon arriving at the facility a gentleman named Mark ( who calls him self the manager) was very unprofessional , as he came laughing and ranting about being drunk.

I spoke to him earlier in the day regarding tires and he seemed very dismissive. He informed me that my total wait time would be 2 hours when in actuality it took 5 hours. Upon arriving to get my car, a receipt was not provided for the work that was accomplished and they were unable to find my car keys.

The manager seemed like he was rushing and things were very disorganized. I have been a customer at pepboys for quite sometime and I must say with this was a horrible experience. I would never return to a unprofessional…

Had appointment on black Friday 9:30 am told to reschedule only one mechanic working. Wednesday December 1 2021 8:00am well got here at 7:30am first customer on line it is know 10:00am to be told they only have 3 tires and one has to come from another store.

Took my car to store 920 for a new battery and was told that I also needed to replace 2 belts. 93. On my drive home I noticed that the engine was hesitating when I accelerated, I called the store and was told that what they did with the battery replacement and belts had nothing to do with the engine.

My car engine was operating fine when I took my car into the store.

Come to this Frederick, MD location for the second time and again received poor service. I've had my car for more than 5 years and I have never seen the malfunction indicator light on. They were supposed to change the battery and now I'm certain that whatever they did, they caused damage to my car that I'll have to fix down the line. So beyond frustrated.

They also never wrote on my paperwork what battery they put in my car. Untrustworthy and I am beyond irritated with this place.

Also the people are unsanitary. I want a regional supervisor to contact me, I don't want to speak to anyone else from this store.

1. 00 on 10/17/2021 in Phoenix, AZ 2. When car was returned to me, I was told that the pressure warning would stay on for a while 3. The warning light did not go away whole day as well as ride was not smooth but bit bumpy, so I took the car to the shop after work 4.

I was told that car was bumpy because tires pressure was 45 instead of 35(tech forgot to adjust) and light was on because of a sensor malfunctioning 5. Manager(Chrystian) told me that a I needed to pay for a new sensor without a labor charge.

My Toyota has never created a problem in last 3 years, especially with any parts. Manager refused to acknowledge that sensor might have been damaged during tire installation and kept insisting that sensors…

Picked Pep Boys to replace all 4 tires on 2014 Impala. This was in Feb 2019. Bought extended alignment warranty and road hazard warranty. When I drove it home, the tires rubbed against the wheel well. Took it back and they looked on my papers and what was entered on computer was the size tires was on my papers were the right size tires for my car.

Told me to contact the car dealership and ask why. Another visit to different Pep Boys for service and they asked why I put too big of tires on my vehicle. I showed them the papers and again they looked at the papers and said they were the correct tires that was put on my car according to the paper work..

Last week I noticed a screw in my tire and took it back to a Pap Boys location and was told they only had 1 worker and they didn't know when…

Brought my vehicle in for a headlight bulb change and mechanic smashed headlight inside and out and damaged fender on vehicle. Told them that was not acceptable. I was told they would order another headlight and replace fender. The headlight was replaced with a used headlight and again outside of headlight covering was cracked I told them I wouldn't accept that and to order another one.

I was told they would order another one. After no calls I phoned them and said they had not received package yet after another couple of days and no calls from Midas I phone again and was told they didnt know where package was I suggested tracking and they said they were checking.

Next day I get a call saying they had package and it was was damaged. So here we go again they ordered another after a call…

Poor and irresponsible appointment handily, in my case I did two appointments I drove 40 miles each day two get my maintenance service rotation and alignment, each appointment was delayed minimum 3 hours, I can’t understand the appointment handle, and the customer service “excuse” we are busy attending others clients.. poor customer service.

I went in for an oil leak on my 2002 Toyota Camry. They put my car uo and showed me where it was leaking which was a complete lie. They quoted me a price of $3,333 and I said no because I know when I'm getting ripped off.

(I've had many cars in my life). I told the two guys that too much in which they stated if you do change your mibd I can take it down to $2,333. I came home and searched for a mechanic: Cost $250 (labor and parts) and he did the work from the under the hood (hoses and some kind of part).

I guess they saw I was a senior citizen that they were going to take advantage of me. Unbelievable.

Had a appointment for 12pm got there 15 minutes early and then they told me it would be 2 and 1:2 hours before I would be taking care of. I said well I would go and do other things and come back they said I could not do that I had to leave my car or I would loose my place in line.

I bought a generator from pep boys one year later i had to take my van to a repair place. The repair man said your generators bad. I took the bad generator back to pep boys and they exchanged it for a new one.

I took the replaced generator to the repair man and he installed it. 9 months later I had to take my van back to the repair place. The repair man says you have another bad generator. I will never buy a product from pep boys again.

I bought a generator from my repair man and it cost me less than what I was charged by pep boys. Beware Pep boys is a rip off place. The complaints about Pep Boys throughout the cities they are located in Southern California are rampant and many patrons have sworn their oath they will never shop or have their vehicles repaired at these rip off stores

Visited location 2399 Piedmont Rd NE Atlanta Ga 30324 on 9/8. I was told I need a alternator and the battery. I said ok and was informed it won’t be long. I live around the corner so I decided to go home and wait.

And then receive a text stating it will be another 2 to 3 hours they close at seven so I know I will not be getting my car back today. I called the next morning for update on my vehicle I was told they were sent the wrong parts and they are waiting for the correct parts.

I continue to wait the rest of the day and never received a phone call. I called again for another update on my vehicle and was told still the same thing, they’re waiting on the parts.

I have been using Pep Boys 4 over 30 years I am from Austin and just recently moved to Fort Worth where I took in my F-150 for a total of over $1,200 in repairs four spark plugs plug wires thermostat excetera also had oil change whereas you're inexperienced Tech stripped the drain plug then tried to sell me a new oil pan for his incompetence this is a follow-up complaint for one filed months back when worked took place after taking truck back in they simply added a few spark plug wire separators.

they change the oil once again using compression plug, was told pan was too expensive to replace, Would like to continue using Pep Boys because I Travel alot But have lost confidence

Today I went to have my tires rotated and balanced. I advised the sales rep that I had some weights that were missing and that once of my tires was out of balance. They rep stated that they did put weights back on the tries and rotated the tires.

I got on the highway and was driving and my back passenger tire lugs were not tight my tire came off the car I had to get out and jack my car up put my tire back on and take it to a tire shop and found that they never put the weights back on so I paid to have it balanced and for weights to be put on.

This has been one of the worst experience's with pepboys I have ever had in my life. I will not be using this company anymore.

The absolute worse service I have ever had. I made my appointment on line and got conformation that I was scheduled to just get my tires rotated. This was the third time we took our vehicle to them after purchasing 4 new tires.

3 of the times they had one person working in the shop and it was a no go. I finally got an appointment and show up to tell us we had no appointment. Something is wrong here. I will never ever buy tires from this company again!

They didn't even check the tire pressure after we finally got them rotated. What poor customer service. If you want to keep customers you better get new managers. I give this a zero rating!!!

Had an oil change appointment for 10am, dropped it off at 9:25am. I called 4 times throughout the day asking for an update and an estimated completion time. I was told each time they just ordered the filter. Then i called back after 2pm and was told the wrong filter was delivered.

After 6 hours I called again and they said It was finished and ready for pick up, but i was never contacted about that. I will not be going back ever again

On Tuesday, 8/4/21, I went to your store #0443, located on Street Road in Bensalem Pa. & arrived around noon that day. Just so you know, I've shopped here for many years. I couldn't believe what I saw after I parked my SUV in the lot.

As I approached the store I noticed trash outside every where. I passed (2) trash cans in which (1) was stuff full of trash & the other was almost full. Doesn't anyone empty the trash cans let alone "police" the property for trash?

I purchased tires from Pep Boys Carson, Ca and returned for a wheel alignment after 6 months (3000 miles). The light was on indicating that I needed a tire service, I also requested to have my tire balanced. After the tire service, I drove off and noticed that the light was still on indicating that I needed a tire service.

I returned to Pep Boys to explain the issue with the light, the manager (George) informed me that the light would go off automatically after Traveled 20-40 miles. The next morning, the right passenger tire was completely flat. I reached out to Pep Boys and the told me to have my car towed in.

Took my Cadillac 2013 CTS Coupe for new tires and alignment 10 days ago. 00 total charges. Noticed that the left and right fenders no longer line up with the doors. I can actually see the bright yellow fasteners securing the fenders through the new gaps.

The service mgr denied any responsibility. They indicated that the lift arms were not correctly placed when lifted. What am I to do? Customer service has been beyond slow to address these damages.

I have used pep boys for years for my personal vehicle and my company car both in Pennsylvania and now here in Florida. I have never been treated so poorly, and spoken to so demeaning and rude by an employee at Pep Boys.

Josh, who works at 1300 third st North Jacksonville Beach Florida was out of control. When I was trying to explain to him what the manager had said to me he continuously interrupted me, said to “ call the manager if I didn’t like it” “nothing he could do” I have never been spoken to like that by anybody.

I took my truck to another shop right next door and had it fixed immediately and the new shop had said “we are getting a lot of customers from next door due to Josh, we even know him by name” I used to share my experiences and send a lot of friends to the location, but…

I went in on Tuesday to get my oil changed, new tires, and to get my car inspected. Admittedly, I did not have an appointment but there was only one person in the waiting room. I waited for about 5 mins before anyone even came to the desk. When the manager, Mike, came to the desk he was carrying a large iced tea and taking his time. He did not acknowledge me for a while and then said ‘yeh.” I told him what I needed. Without even looking up, he said then wouldn’t be able to get to me anytime that day or Wednesday. I bought tires from Pep Boys 18 months ago. Since then I had my car in for a tire issue with the tire indicator light showing low air. Last week I had a flat tire and took it back to Pep Boys due to the road hazard I had on my tires.

They could not locate the key to the tire lock on my car. They are the only ones that had the tire lock key as they installed the new tires and checked the tires when the air indicator came on.

They did not return the key to the pouch that they got it our of. I expect when a mechanic removes something from my car in order to work on it that it is returned. I have spent a week trying to work thru the dealership to get a new key.

Took my car to Pepboys. Did not make an appointment by phone because my problem was too difficult to explain over the phone. I needed a $20 repair but the Manager Vihn said I needed 4 new tires. I respecrfully requested that my 2 front tires be inflated.

I had an oil change appointment on 5/31/21 at pep boys location at 18024 S. Halsted St, Homewood IL. 5 days before the oil change appt, I had a low tire pressure message on my vehicle, 2019 Nissan Murano. I put air in the front driver side tire where the low air pressure message came from.

After receiving the oil change a free tire rotation was supposed to take place which is supposed to come with the oil change. 5 days after the oil change I received another low tire pressure message on the very same tire, front driver side.

If the tires were rotated after the oil change the tire pressure message would have been in the rear driver side tire. When I receive a low tire pressure message and put air in the tires, the message automatically disappears.

Had scheduled appointment, was called up and they cancelled my appointment because they were all booked up. I feel this was done because the service I needed done was a simple tire rotation which is a free service since I bought my tires there.

I feel I was put on hold because to them a paying customer has a priority over someone whose has a free service coming. So if I'm not a valued customer after the sell you don't deserve my business. This was the Hueytown store in Hueytown,Al.

I had my vehicle serviced at pep boys a few months ago after the Covid illness began. I brought my car a Toyota Scion in for 2 new back tires as I had the front ones done previously. I asked to have them check my brakes as well.

They came to me and stated I needed new brakes and so I said ok lets do them. I was ready to pay for tires and brakes but as they were working on my car they suddenly came back to me and stated my water pump was broken, now I questioned this as I have had no over heating issues or puddles under my car and
