Had scheduled appointment, was called up and they cancelled my appointment because they were all booked up. I feel this was done because the service I needed done was a simple tire rotation which is a free service since I bought my tires there.

I feel I was put on hold because to them a paying customer has a priority over someone whose has a free service coming. So if I'm not a valued customer after the sell you don't deserve my business. This was the Hueytown store in Hueytown,Al.

had appt confirmation for a/c service on 4/2 for service on 4/4.when i got to store no appt/counter person said dont do that service on sunday.said have been having trouble with this issue for 5 months,so thank you for wasting my sunday/REALY YOU HAVE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR 5 MONTHS AND YOUR STILL LETTING PEOPLE SHOW UP FOR GHOST APPT/THANKS ALOT/NO MORE OF MY MONEY TO PEP BOYS

I had my vehicle serviced at pep boys a few months ago after the Covid illness began. I brought my car a Toyota Scion in for 2 new back tires as I had the front ones done previously. I asked to have them check my brakes as well.

They came to me and stated I needed new brakes and so I said ok lets do them. I was ready to pay for tires and brakes but as they were working on my car they suddenly came back to me and stated my water pump was broken, now I questioned this as I have had no over heating issues or puddles under my car and

so I said are you sure and they said yes needs a new one which cost over $400 to do. Now the tires and brakes were coming in at just a tad over 1000 and then they come at me for another $400 for the water pump.

I took my car into pep boys in Marietta , ga off macland rd and powder springs rd. A couple of weeks ago . It turned out to be the relay switch in my air conditioner . I have a full coverage warranty on my car and most everything is covered .

When I came to pick my car up Tyler saud they called and it wasn’t covered under my warranty. I was surprised when he told me that cause it’s a total care warranty. Another issue arised with my car so I called the warranty place to check on to see if this is covered.

And I told them I had a relay switch replaced and pep boys told me it wasn’t covered. I guess they didn’t want to take the time to go through the warrenty company so they told me electrical wasn’t covered . Which was a lie.

I when to the store to repair a motor mount engine repair on my dodge journey 2009. The repair department tell me is going to $126. 00 and the gave me the the work order. They tell me is going to be about 3 hours.

00 to mount the engine mount. Why give a price when all told from the beginning what it was and the mount. I will never have my car work on again by pepboys.

On 6/30/20 I took my E320 in to replace the main battery if it was bad. but they listed it as 1 hour and charged me $60 plus tax for installation. I didn't notice the overcharge at the time. At that time I mentioned the overcharge of the installation fee.

00 and wait time approximately a hr and a half. I was told best to leave vehicle. This was at approximately 4pm. I asked for the estimate and never was given nor did I signI recieved a call from James asking where the lugs were ay 652pm after I already told him exactly where they were.

I am a small hole in the wall business that's been in the area and paying parts from pep boys for over 20 years. during this pandemic my shop has been closed. during this time of closure I gave Pep Boys a partial payment toward my account and because I did not give them a full payment they put a hold on my account without even notifying me.

Very poor service. In January of 2020 I took my vehicle to the Pep Boys in Verona NJ on Pompton Avenue. The engine light came on so I took the car there because it was highly recommended. I also told them my car would choke and wouldn't kick over when I tried to start it if I was being driven for a while..

I found out when I took it back by the store manager Larry Clifton that the car was never fixed like they said it was. So he stated that everything that was supposed to be done was done.. 00 for what they told me they did.

I notice that every time I take my car to pEp Boys regardless of the problem their estimate is almost always around $900. The last time I took my car there and explain that my car wasn't running with enough power, i said I don't know what was wrong with it and was wondering if it was the spark plug.

they said the only way they could find out is if they check. They later call me to say they have check and replace the sparks plug.

However when I picked up the vehicle the problem was the same. WHen I informed tham that the problem was the same and if they botherd to check to see what the problem was, their response was that I had requested to change the plugs and that what they did which was not what I had requested.

Service man at desk is very rude, told me that I could leave of his negative attitude. Had a thermostat install a week and half ago Reservoir cap was left off and hose clamps left under the hood. Told him that I had called 10/23/2019 and spoke with someone else and was instructed to bring my car in today, for smelling antifreeze Dave was very rude.

When I brought my car in for a thermostat replacement he was rude then with me and another customer. Dave doesn't need to work with Pepboys customers.

I am writing in regards to my daughter car that we took to Pep Boys on Erie Blve in Syracuse, NY. She took into Pep boys to get a water pump repaired on her cheve cruz. We charged half on my Pep Boys credit card, the car was in shop for a few days. She was contacted her car was ready for pick up. The car was doing the same thing we brought it in for. Returned car , pep boys said it will be 2 or 3 more days rented her a car. She picked up car again , now it was skipping . Returned it again now engine light is on.. Corey said he screwed some new screw in and it was rethreding. We didn't have no problems with engine prior, why would corey replace a screw in engine.? I will be contacting a few different resources if her problem is not fixed 100%..

Store in Alpharetta,Georgia is poorly managed. Left vehicle Friday morning to get calipers replaced and now Sunday evening still not competed. Sometimes when you call there is no answer and no option to leave a message.

Also several times I was called and there was no one on the line!

I dropped my car off at the Norfolk Va, Military Highway location at 8:30 am 10/4/2019. I needed an oil change and state inspection. I was told the state inspector wouldn't be there until 10 am so I left my car there SO I COULD HOLD MY PLACE IN LINE for the inspection. I did not hear anything back all day so I called at 3:48 pm and was told that my car was still waiting for the inspector. I find this interesting since I was there before the inspector and was told it was in front of the line.

I was then told it would be worked on soon. I called back at 5:45 when I hadn't heard anything back and was told it still had not been worked on. I asked was the oil change done and I was told no. I was told that the inspector is also the person who works on the cars if it needs repairs to pass…

I had a 1:30 appointment at a Pep boy for a simple Oil change and I scheduled this for my lunch break. 1:30 came and went,and 2:00 came and went. Then, 2:30 came and went at which point I had to call and tell my manager that I was going to be late coming back to work.

At 3 o clock, I finally noticed that the person who was initially helping me wasn't even there anymore. I went and explained the situation to a gentleman who asked if anyone was working on my car yet and they said NO after 2 hours of sitting there.

Then they finally did the oil change in about 20 minutes which made me wonder why they could not have did this in the first place especially since I had an appointment. I have had my brakes and oil changes there for years but this is ridiculous.

I bought a set of cooper tires for my truck. Had a blowout on the fron left tire some months later. Went back to pepboys where i purchased the tires they said my info and license plate number weren't in the system and asked me to go get the reciept, so i did.

I went to a scheduled appointment at the Santee California store. I arrived at 315, my appointment was at 4. There were no cars in the bays and no customers at the service department except for a person price checking tires.

The service manager was Mario. While he was looking me up on the computer I jokingly said it looks like I came at the right time because there were no cars in the bays and the mechanics were standing around.

He looked up from the computer and in a rude and disrespectful voice said , don’t worry about that, they have things to do. He said I am not bringing it in until 4 since that is when my appointment was.

I took my Lexus rx350 to have awater pump installed it lasted 8 days so I took it to another pep boys on central Avenue in abq it lasted 15 days this time so I took it back to the abq juan tabo store they put in a new water pump again an a new radiator also this time for another 1100 dollars plus the 1500 for the water pump it didn't even make it to my house before it blew the motor. 3 water pumps in 3 weeks an a blown motor

I received an oil change from a location and they caused an oil leak to my car. My car ran out of oil and my engine started to smoke due to not having oil in my car and the oil being all over the inside of the car.

I had to have my car towed to my dealership and fixed. Pep boys did refund me the money I had to pay to my dealership. But when i call Customer Service to explain to them the situation and that if further damage was done to my car they were reliable.

The Customer agent HUNG UP on me. This is by far the worst experience i have gotten from pep boys. I’ll be telling the student on my campus and the campus next to us to never use this company.

I d like to complain about the service offered at Pep Boys in Germantown, md.

Last week, i scheduled to have alignment and inspection for the noise i hear when i drive on the highway. I scheduled at 11am and I called to check on my car status after more than 3hrs waiting. I have taken my 2014 gmc sierra 1500 in for ac repair service. 98 for a service repair that was never done. They had me take it in for a second time to try the repair again with no success.

I am still without ac in florida. Because the repairs were not done, I have notified the card company to suspend that payment for services not rendered.

Dear Team,

I got a very worst experience from Pep Boys while i went to replace my rear tire.

Day: 1

My rear tire got flattered by nail hitting and one of the employee told me to replace the tire since they cant do repair on my existing tire.

And they charged me around 160 $ for changing and replacement ( replaced with COOPER tire since they don't have Michelin tire which i asked ).

When i'm driving back to my home, the car is shaking heavily and going in zig zag manner when i goes beyond 60Mph.

There were No appointments that day for 6-24-19. Upon arrival at 9:15am I was informed there was a wait for at least two plus hours and the appointment meant nothing. Three other customers in the service lounge had already been waiting for four plus hours.

At 12:15PM my car was finally placed in the Service area. In addition, I was told there would be an extra charge since the installation was under the rear seat and for the grease and pads. I have the names and details from three other customers--one waited five plus hours.

last August I had my one and now only experience with your Largo , Florida pep boys. My appt was for 9 am , I had made it a week before, they did call to reschedule the morning of the appointment, for some reason they had called my daughters phone ( she did not live with me) .

ripped off charged 2000.00 for a brake job could have used pep boy parts but charged for full retail on local supplied parts took 4 days to complete and first est was 800.00 than 1300.00 total cost 2000.00 this work would have cost about 550.00 at a dealer very bad business and bad people not knowing what they are doing hired off the street not professaionl avoid them like the plaque they are on the coummity

I came to Pep Boys last week for a oil change , tire Rotation, and to check that tire of the sensor come on and said low air on a tire. Picked up my car four days later it said low tire again looked at tire and I see there is a nail in it.So I brought it back to Pep Boys hey send me a couple hours and they’d fix it I’ve been here for4 hours and still waiting for it to be fixed.

Over the last four years I have observed a manager at store # 0175 in willowgrove named Bob Thompkins behave in an unprofessional way towards his employees and on occasion ignore customers. I have been a loyal customer of this store , However; I can not continue to watch good helpful and and tentative employees be mistreated with foul language and attitudes especially in public.

Company vehicle was taken to Pep Boys Guayama Puerto Rico for tune up and 2 tire change on April13. When I went to pick it up on the 16th we were charge for several parts including tires air filter etc.

when I inspected the car the tire weren't changed but we got charge for them I left the car to pick it up today and to my surprise when I went to pick it up I checked the air filter and it was not changed either but we got charged for it.

What it did surprise me is how light this was taken by the managers, on the way back to my company I notice that they didn't aligned the car either. I will appreciate if someone contact me at my email to get this issue solved.

Received 30% off email so I went to the above Pep Boys to get my oil changed. The girl was very nice and started the paperwork for me. She then told me the Pep Boys computer said my car called for synthetic engine oil.

I showed her it call for sae 5w-20 standard oil, non synthetic. She goes and gets the man that says he was the manager. I think he said his name was Robert. He then proceeds to tell me they didn't make the oil I was showing him in the owners manual that it called for.

So I was reading to him what the owners manual said and showed him the invoice where they had changed it before, and an invoice that Dodge had changed it with 5w-20 standard, what it called for in the owners manual. He told me to take it to Dodge, because that was not what his computer called for.

On March 25 2019 I went to the Pep boys on 2321 west expressway 83 in Harlingen,Tx. I got there at 7:30 am. I was the first one there that morning. I told the employee I needed an oil change and rotation of tires.

I asked him how long it would take, he said from 1 hour to 1 1/2. He asked for my phone number to call me when it was done. Well like usual they never bother to call you,so I called them after 3 1/2 hours.

The employee that answered the phone told me that they received a customer that had an appointment at 8:00 so they took him first. He told me it would be another 30 to 45 minutes before it would be done.

Brought car into Pep Boys Phoenix 3528 W Cactus Rd. in January with power steering fluid leak. This shop had replaced power steering pump about 2 years ago. They said I needed new power steering hose, I ok'd work to be done. Used loyalty coupon saved some $ but still cost $333.00

A month later fluid leaking again, took it back to shop. This time they said I needed new rack and pinion for about $1000.00 I said NO. Something felt wrong, smelled bad. Quote was $1100 over estimate from a second repair shop. Would not honor corporate online discount for oil change.

I recently bought a 1997 BMW 328I. I went to buy oil for it at Pep Boys and asked what oil I needed to buy, I told her the year make and model and explained it had high mileage. The woman gave me a 10/30 and said that was what I needed so I bought 2 quarts and put 1 in.

My car felt like it still needed oil. I put the 2nd quart in about 2 weeks later and it still didn't feel right. I went to Auto Zone to buy more oil and asked what type of oil my car needed.

They looked it up and said my car uses 15/40 which is a thicker oil than what I put in it. I told them what oil I put in it and they said I need to get an oil change because the oil Pep Boys sold me was the wrong oil and it is going to mess up my car.

On December 5, 2018 at 9:00am I taken my care to your store #6399 in Bartlett TN, because my car was leaking oil. I gave the keys to the customer service rep (Joseph Nelms) that was at the front desk.

He pulled my car into the shop. About 15 minutes later while I was still in the store J. Nelms informed me that I was leaking transmission oil and not motor oil, and it appears to be coming from the lower and upper gaskets in the transmission oil pan.

And if it's the lower gasket it could cost me $150, but if its the upper gasket it could cost up to $400. And he informed me that his mechanic will be in about 10:30am, and he can give me a better diagnosis when he shows up.

I brought my car to your store in Bartlett Tn. Store # 6399 on December 5 2018 at 9am, because it was leaking oil or transmission oil. The front register clerk (Joseph Nelms) asked for my keys so he can bring the car into the shop.

Joseph Nelms did a diagnosis on my car while I was still in the store. And from his diagnosis he told me that it was not motor oil, but transmission oil, and it appears to be coming from the upper or lower gaskets in the transmission oil pan. 00.

I made a appointment for Monday Dec. , I told Jim Kuhlman what my car was doing and even had it checked out at Auto Zone which showed it was either spark plugs or the plug wires. He said they would diagnose the problem and call me.

Three hours later no call so I called them and ask what was wrong with my car. He said they didn't know yet. They would call. Another three hours went by no call. I called again and was told still not sure and I had a few words to say to him.

I was furious, how can you have, a car six hours and not know what was wrong with it. He said it would be ready at six. I called at six and he said they were putting it back together, so I got a ride.
