I was going to get a water dragon, and when we asked an employee if she had any starter habitats for them, she looked at me and said “ their high maintenance “ And I told her my family has raised animals our entire life for conservation and she continued saying their high maintenance and we should start with a more simple option.

Over all very rude, needless to say I left without buying anything. And probably won’t ever come back because of how rude that employee got with us.

I went to the Petco location "964 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC 28804" on 11-2-2019 around 7:30pm and had terrible experience.

I also want to preface this by saying I was hesitant to go to this location to begin with, as it does not have a reputation for kind and helpful staff.

Last night I was going to purchase a goldfish for my 10 gallon fish tank, and the clerk (Amber, I believe) proceeded to tell me that because of my tank conditions (which are perfectly acceptable for one fancy goldfish) she was not going to sell me the fish. I explained to her that I disagreed that the tank was inadequate but I would not force her to sell me a fish.

I also explained that I originally wanted a Betta fish, but all of the ones at that location were sick/dying and I did not want to risk taking one home.…

Bought a 20g long fish tank from there grants pass oregon store to find fresh rat dropping in the tank meaning I had to sterilize a brand new tank and now a few months later i go back in to see a neglected and dying ball python due to improper care his humidity is at 5% not above 60%like is needed and his temps are 10 to 15degrees to hot causing him more stress and

When doing Charleen stated “just for $5” and “do you know how much of a headache this is”. Another cashier did my refund. Absolutely poor service and will now going to petsmart from now on.

I made an appointment online for a $45 wash and cut. They charged me $86 and some change when I came to pick my pet up. They said it’s because he had some matting. I should’ve been called before they doubled the price of the haircut.

Hello I live in Connecticut and I went to the petco at Southington store 762 for my dog named Lucio’s grooming. Now after receiving him and coming home I notice his ear had blood. It is dry and it’s a small cut.

But that doesn’t change the fact that he was injured. It seems like they injured his ears and that why they decided not to cut his hair in his ears. I hope this is something that can be explained.

I scheduled my two dogs for a grooming to be dropped off at 8:00 am. I got there a few minutes before and waited til 5 after as to make sure they had time to open because it was raining and I was carrying my dogs.

They were not there, doors still locked and no lights. and so I waited a few more minutes and still no one opened the store. I called them and nobody answered. I ended up having to drive them home and thus was late for work 30 minutes for no reason.

I called to advise them of what happened- they just asked if I still wanted to bring them in which I was unable to because I was at work; he acted like it was no big deal. The store I’m referring to is in Wichita Falls Texas.

Btw, this was October 25th. I do have to say the lady I spoke to setting the appointment was very friendly.…

I would like to file a formal complaint about the South Weymouth Mass Petco grooming department. My dog had an 11am appt and was there until 4:30pm. He was so traumatized by the entire thing that when he got home he kept going to the bathroom and he started bleeding out of his butt.

Apparently only one Groomer showed up and I should’ve been made aware of that so that I could’ve brought my dog home. I tried to call at least 5 times and no answer. He should not have had to sit there for 5 1/2 hours in a cage without water or food or a walk.

Also he looked half groomed after all that and $70 later. He also was panting and acting like he had an anxiety attack. Basically I will never bring my dog to your establishment again .

I dropped my standard poodle off to the groomer. Five hours later I arrived to find that my dog was given to someone else because they demanded it was their dog. My dog is a male and their dog is a female.

They had taken my dogs collar off as well. Luckily they brought my dog back but he was petrified and very scared. This is unacceptable and down right ridiculous. The groomer and they other person never should have done this, especially with the dogs being different genders.

I was given a 20% off the grooming. This in no way compensates for someone kidnapping my dog and the trauma caused to him! Seriously, the worst experience ever!!

if there were a way to rate this company with a zero i would have done it!!! They Lied about a surcharge to Hawaii, said it had always been there but i have ordered several orders in the Past and guess what NO SURCHARGE!!!

Harmony was the WORST corporate Rep i have ever dealt with!! She stated that they could not in any possible way remove the surcharge.

However i received a call from another rep saying he was in the process of removing the charge Harmony is a liar!!!! Do your self a favor and Shop at PET SMART they give FREE shipping to Hawaii and do not Lie!!!

That is a major problem with companies that have a monopoly on a region they do what they want and do not care when a customer cancels their account NEVER again will i shop at this store!!!!!

I have been coming to petco for 7 years to this same location in Burbank ca and these past days that I have gone have seen the animals neglected and saw some bettas dying and today 10/23/2019 saw a dead bearded dragon I told the worker and he was just making excuses that’s how they sleep and I said that poor thing has been dead for god knows how long cause it looks very dried up and

he said that’s how they look till he opened the tank and saw that it was dead petco need to stop hiring people that don’t care about animals and that take their job seriously something needs to be done already is not fair for the animals that cruelty this is not right at all there is so many videos on social media of animals thrown alive into dumpster and dead animals inside this is enough!

I have experience some bad customer service in the past but I have never experience something so horrible that I’ve felt the need to wright a complaint. Yesterday I was in the lakestevens WA lactation at 4:50pm when it came time to check out I stood up front for roughly 3 minutes before anyone acknowledged me.

When it was my turn she did not greet me in fact she picked up the phone and called a coworker and started yelling at him (yes yelling) about how she was low on receipt paper. She was on the phone with him the entire time I was checking out.

And when she would stop to talk to me she was rude and short. Today I talked to MY coworkers about it and they knew exactly who I was talking about and they no longer go to this Petco for this reason.

We took my granddaughters Shitzu for grooming at Petco Paris Tx Terrie the groomer was not friendly We forgot the rabies paper. I said I have it in my phone she said we have to have original, we left with our puppy we live 35 miles away had an appointment.

After numerous phone calls the other lady said we could go get a copy off our phone. So since we already had come 35 miles for our appointment. We went to office max got copy and went back to Petco.

I ask her if someone could cut his hair beside Terrie. She said no she does it. I said I hope she’s nicer to animals than to people. She said she is. Terrie could have said that we could get a copy and bring it back, but she didn’t care. Terrie cut his hair.

25mg for my 13 year old shih tuz that has a heart condition and cannot be without the medication. I normally order it on chewy because they do 2 day shipping which is fantastic, now you all take 2-4 days to process the prescription and then 5-7 days for shipping that is ridiculous for a medication that is needed ASAP.

I ordered the meds with you all Friday and it was still not processed by Monday night when the vet had already sent the approval for he meds to be shipped. So yes I did cancel the order with Petco and found that WalmartpetRx had it in stock and does 2 day shipping.

I waited in line for 30 minutes or so for vaccinations, my yorkie was scared as the vet/assistant was handling him. As the assistant was holding my dog still he growled at the guy. The vet was completely rude. Old white Woman with white curly hair.

She says you’re gonna need to put a muzzle on him and said he only gets one chance. So I’m trying to put the muzzle on and the guy is helping me. My dog snaps at the guys finger. The rude vet asked me if I had my records which I showed her.

I have never written a bad review or put a claim for poor service in my life. But I am so disappointed for the lack of customer service/respect and courtesy.

I purchased last Friday 4 tropical fish for my 5 year old son's aquarium. They were sick and die within hrs. The morning after I went back with a dead one but I forgot to bring the receipt. I was told to come back with the receipt to receive 4 new fish. I went back last night and I was treated like I was a liar. I am livid and my daughter is devastated.

We dropped off our a Pomeranian and asked for 1/2 inch cut off. They cut all his hair and LEFT 1/2 inch.

The dog doesn’t even look like a Pomeranian anymore. He looks terrible and my daughter is devastated.

When I talked to the grooming manager, she said, “Well, we can’t put hair back on.” What kind of comment was that?? That was rude and unprofessional.

The store continues to say that they showed us a shave chart. No one said anything about shaving and we did not want a shave. The store is still not apologizing - they are saying it was a misunderstanding and that they showed us a shave chart. This is a lie.

The woman at the only open register (name of Janell) ignored the forming line in favor of a conversation with already paid customers about a mindfulness class. Once they left she turned her back on the rest of the waiting customers in order to write down the information she had gleaned from the conversation.

This sort of interaction should be done on one’s own time. People are busy. Being kept waiting while you attend personal business, when you are supposed to be attending to your job, is aggravating and insulting.

Your Frankfort Kentucky store is the worst I have ever been to. Employees are waiting outside for 15 minutes past opening time for the manager to come and open the store. The manager showed up @ 8:15 am ( store opens at 8:00 am) and he is barefoot.

I was there for my second scheduled appointment to get my dog groomed and guess what the groomer had called in sick two days ago and told the manager he would not be in he was sick. Did I receive a call notifying me that the groomer would not be there and it is a 30 mile drive to get there.

I purchased Instinct Lamb and oatmeal Be Natural which is the grain inclusive but still has raw on it. Great idea. When I got home the bag was expired by almost 4 weeks so I turned around and brought it right back.

Since that was the only one on the shelf and the manager checked to see if they had anymore cause 1 of my dogs can only eat lamb. He came back and said it was the only bag and he would take off the shelf.

Fast forward to today 10/9/2019 I went again to see if they had new batch and the SAME bag is on the shelf now expired since 9/5/2019 and it was only bag. On September 25, 2019, I took my French Bulldog puppy “Face” to Petco located at 8801 S Sepulveda Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90045 for a grooming/bathing.

I advised the Petco staff groomers that Faces’ ears are sensitive and to put cotton balls in his ears while bathing him to avoid ear infection. When I picked up Face from his appointment, I immediately noticed that he was constantly shaking his head out of irritation and water was being released from his ears. Their food is old and dry. I had it on autoship but when I tried to cancel it it would not cancel. They continue to charge my credit card and send this rotten food which I do not want. I have called numerous times and each time they tell me they will cancel the autoship but it does not happen. Their system does not work. They are charging my credit card without my authorization. This is fraud! I have gone into the local Petco store. They also told me it would be canceled but it is not canceled. I want it canceled. I went into the petco in Berlin VT. The cashiers were great but the restroom was gross. It was not only dirty but no toilet paper in the dispensers, no paper towels in the dispenser, and no hand soap. I told the cashier and she said that she and other employees have passed it on.

I am a manager in Customer Service and realize how busy it can get but the bathrooms had not been attended to for an extended period of time. This fall on the manager.

This is not so much a complaint but rather a concern. The North Haven CT store on Universal Drive presently has three conures that are restricted from being sold. I know those poor things have been in cramped small quarters for at least a month.

These animals are very social and highly intelligent and this is no way to treat them. I really don't think the staff there are paying much attention to them. All they hire are children to work there who know absolutely nothing.

Their cages are filthy and I have not seen any fresh fruit/veggies being given to them because I go there quite a bit to check. They have hardly any toys to play with for stimulation. These birds are NOT things.

They are alive and need attention. Can't they get a volunteer to take care of them? They are beautiful,…

I tried to set up recurrent pet food delivery with petco- and your website made this difficult. Because you use Google to find addresses, you could not locate my new address in order to deliver cat food for me. I went to Amazon they have the same exact item and have NO PROBLEM finding my address.

So you lost my business. Thought you should know. That could have been a lot of income for PETCo that you lost because why?

Rude Petco employee at 3784 W Peoria Ave Phoenix AZ

My daughter and I went in to Petco to look at ferrets because we are (not at Petco we aren't) going to buy one...maybe 2 new family members on Monday. I wanted to know if they had any males and check personalities. We walk in and the store looks totally deserted. We find the ferrets and I'm already in love with this cute guy trying to play with my hand through the play glass so I start looking for someone to help me and see a women walk straight into the back room after we make eye contact. All alone again I call out " hello" and hear a voice in the distance saying I'll be there in a minute. 2 Herman tortoises kept in an aquarium

. #1 tortoises should not be kept in an aquarium they don’t like the clear sides and pace constantly trying to get out.

#2. Much too small for 2 of them together

#3 reported to the manager and he said there is nothing he can do.

This is a very inhuman way to keep these creatures. Please address it as soon as possible. Thank you

My dog Bella Fiorentelli had a grooming appointment at 2:30 pm today. My mom got there at 2:15 pm. At 2:35 pm my mom was still waiting and seen 2 other dogs taken in before Bella. She advised the groomer that she needed to pick up my kids from school, I had specified this in my phone call when I made the appointment that my mom needed to leave by 2:45pm.

I was assured no problem just have her come a little earlier and as I stated my mom did get there early. Then my mom showed her a sample of a photo just of something similar I wanted. She proceeded to tell my mom she cannot do it and she doesn't understand her and she felt rushed and she was not grooming Bella.

It has been so frustrating dealing with Petco that I cancelled my repeat order. I have explained my situation/ situations to the rep and I'm told it's been taken care of only to receive an email stating otherwise. Call again and am told that there are no notes on my account re: my first call.

I have had to call 2-3 times a month to try and figure out what is going on with my account.

First time I ordered online I did not sign up for repeat delivery yet 5 min after I submitted my order I get an email stating "Thank you for your repeat delivery" Called twice to straighten out the mess and was assured it was taken care of. 3 weeks later I receive an email saying that I have an upcoming delivery.
