This store has the worst service and management ever. Had many bad experiences previously but enough is enough. Today I took my pet for nail trim. I check website and is said open I call to make sure no answer 3 times. I went there and grooming area was open but no body there. I waited 10 minutes. the person at the cash register inside could see me and i could see her. After 10 minutes I asked is someone was there to help. She said the groomer was on break and back in 20 minutes. There was no sign or anything. I returned in 30 minutes went into grooming door again nobody. Same situation with same person at cashier. Waited 5 minutes then I went into the store and she said she had no idea why the person was not back. As I said not the first time.

I had an appointment with a full service Petco on Orleans St in Chicago Illinois for 9:30am. I was late for the appointment because all the surrounding streets had no parking signs til 12pm and was photo enforced. I walked in and was told by a very uncaring employee behind the scheduling desk that my appointment was canceled for being late.

I arrived at 9:49am appt. was for 9:30am. I explained the situation for the delayed but didn’t seem to care or bother to ask if I wanted another appointment or was willing to try and fit me in later. I don’t know if the young girl who had taken care of us was in the back or was her day off but the individual there was totally lacking in customer care or concern.

Bought a shelter cat from store but after awhile I noticed a problem with the cat. Called the store and the store told me to call the shelter vet. I tried but no one ever answered or returned my call.

So I went to my vet. I sent the bill to PetCo but they refused to reimburse me. I will never shop at Petco again.

I placed an order on line for same day delivery and it was supposed to arrive within the hour and 7 hours later at 10pm (store closed at 8) and then I received a text stating the order was cancelled. I called the customer service line the next day to find out why the order was cancelled and I was told that they cancelled the order because they did not have any in stock.

Which was an out and out lie, I called the store to verify if they had the item in stock and I was told that they have a lot of it and then I asked about my order and it was pulled. So I called back to customer service and then I was placed on hold for about 7 minutes and stated that the order was cancelled because of no dashers, again odd since Julie L was my delivery person for 5 hours.

I been having a problem with buying fish foe my 20 Gallon take. Every week I am returning the dead fish and when they test the water they say out water is good they told me to buy a water conditioner to put in the tank to help with the tank being not dirty or clear the water.

Ordered dog food online and after a couple days I receive an email stating that due to staffing issues, the shipping will be delayed.

I called customer service (and waited 20 minutes for someone to pick up, all the while playing a message how important my call is to Petco). Once the rep answered and checked the order, I was told the product was unavailable in the local warehouse, and the order will auto-cancel if they can't find it in stock.

Really? If you know its on backorder, update your website like other vendors.

It is amazing that they believe this is appropriate behavior.

I took my 15 year old dog to the Austin Arboretum store for a bath and cut. Check in took 30 minutes. A new girl with 5 rings in her face handled the checkin .

They said I only requested a wash which was wrong. I have done there for 15 years and never had just a wash. The girl changed the coding for my dog to long hair despite her hair being 2 inches. She told me to correctly order Services` in the future even though the store made the error. They finally took her and called me an hour later saying they would not complete her cut. Absolute garbage customer service. I went in to ask where the kennel cough medicine was and was told they don’t sell it. The supervisor / manager told me she’s worked with dogs for years and that it won’t work. With a attitude.

I then look for myself and I find the sticker but they are sold out. So indeed they sell in store and on their website. Another time I went in and I applied and was approved for petco pay and the manager told me she couldn’t look up my card or enter it manually when petco pay offers 20% off if you use same day as you were approved.

I gave her a number that customer service gave me and she didn’t even take the time to go through the prompts she just hung up and said I gave her a bad number. She was absolutely rude and shouldn’t treat customers In such manner.

Petco is the biggest joke in history. I ordered my pet medication and Petco canceled the order 4 times because of fake reasons. Now that I have asked them to return my prescription, they tell me that they no longer have it.

I now understand that they have lost my prescription and did not tell me. The meds are fundamental for my dog, and rather than recognizing their mistake, they decided to put my dog's health at risk. Never again.

I have brought my dog in for over 20 baths at this location. We brought him in for his 8th groom that was suppose to be free and the guy all of a sudden told me that he can’t be groomed because he is on trazadone.

This has NEVER been an issue. We have had him washed here so many times that it doesn’t even make sense. But alllll of a sudden you can’t take him. That is literally the dumbest thing ever. And I am absolutely livid.

This is the second problem I have had with Petco coupons that you send out via email to me. " I stated that was not 25% off and she said that it does not apply to all Weruva cat food. WHAT? not going to happen.

I drove all the way to the store (gas is not cheap these days) to use this coupon just to find out it was some sort of marketing ploy (which has happened to me before when trying to use coupons from Petco). I have been a lifelong Petco customer, but today I am done.

I will never step foot in or spend another dime in any of your stores or online. You have lost a good customer today - I guess just to see if you could get away with not really giving me 25% off.

Horrible and shame on you!

Ordered prescription food for my senior cat over a week ago. I am currently on my 6th call to customer support who seem to not be able to help me with my order.

I was assured by 4 agents who called the vet tech depth my prescription was valid and approved that the system was slow to update and my confirmation is on route. I am on a 10 min hold (still holding) to escalate to someone that can help me.

I have never experienced such horrible service. Even the basic customer support, checking in with the customer on holds, speaking politely, etc. I am in such disbelief. Hope this company goes under.

Petco in Midlothian,Va 349 Perimeter Dr. Location. Went in just for a quick item & on way to check out counter I notice an employee was walking back and forth wiping his nose w/paper towel I guess waiting for costumers.

His face was red and he was constantly wiping his nose I didn’t see him use hand sanitizer or go wash his hands. It seemed that he might have special needs I’m not certain but at times like this w/Covid and flu season hitting at same time I can’t take chances like that.

Today 02/10/2022 stop by Petco Yulee #02772 as I had an appointment at 3:15 pm. I got to the store at 3:00pm and handed in my French Bulldog named Chubby. When choosing my date, I made sure that I had the paramount thing that was for me. He was washed, cut his nails, cleaned his ears and added extra dental cleaning. Yesterday, 09/27/2022, I took our dog to your store to have his nails clipped. Less than 2 weeks ago he was there to get his rabies shot. I called last week for an appointment and was told I could just walk in.

When I arrived I was informed I could not get his nails clipped because I didn't have proof of his rabies shot ( I was NOT informed of this when I called). We live across town and are new to the area and your policies.

Round trip is the better portion of an hour. The young lady I spoke with was more concerned about getting me out the door than helping me. Each time I questioned her about options the answer was the same " leave and come back later.

I go to the Moses Lake, Washington store frequently. The staff is always nice and helpful, however, the store is always a complete mess. The floors are dirty, the front desk/checkout area is messy and disorganized, boxes laying around, the fish tank always looks dirty around the floors, fish station and the tank glass always looks unclean.

I'm tired of going into this store and finding it look like it isn't being managed. It looks understaffed and disorganized. What a shame.

5 oz cans of Weruva Chicken & Beef cat food. My cat had been eating the chicken only and the beef made her throw up. When I bought these cans I had a coupon to get 20% off. 91. On 9-18-22, I went back to Peto to return the (7) cans of beef flavor for (7) cans of chicken flavor, so an even swap, just different flavor.

39 each can to exchange to chicken only. How is the fair to me? I was being cheated out of my 20% coupon and I do not think that was fair. So either Petco make this right or I will not be purchasing my pet's food from you anymore. I will use Chewy.

Petco Grooming at Ingram Fiestaval. Paid $143 to groom a golden. Made 2trips because he wouldn’t go in a crate. Shouldn’t have too paid for VIP. So I had to take him back. Catelina didn’t brush him, nor do the rear , tail or around his ears. Super rude!

I received a shipment of prescription cat food a few days ago that arrived damaged. Two cans were damaged to the point of breaking the seal and had to be thrown away. One of those cans burst open in the package and covered all the other cans in the food. The food was rotting. Almost all the cans are dented in one way or another. I had to rip off all the paper on all the cans because of the rotting cat food on the outside.

When I called the customer service department, they gave me a 5 dollar refund on the 65 dollar package (for the two busted open cans). I do not find this to be proportional. I am willing to provide the photo evidence if this complaint actually reaches someone. I just honestly ask that the packages be handled more carefully. I brought my small dog for a nail clipping on august 8th. He’s been going to the providence ri location for many years! The young girl who took him seemed very nervous. When she cut his first nail she cut the base of the mail at the paw.

The scream from the dog was awful. She tried to stop the bleeding and went to tell her supervisor. She was being honest with the supervisor as to what happened but the supervisor never even looked at the injury! She came over trying to tell me his nails were thick and it sometimes happens when cut too short!

I am trying to order 10 pounds of a small carob cookie that lookes like a beige choclate chip. You sell this carob cookie in your store as a loose item by the pound. I have over the past 5 years ordered this cookie many times.

Each time the item has to be order 5-6 times untill it comes in. I have to contact the store or come into the store 5-6 times until your manager gets the product. At this time I have ordered the item 5 times and still have not gotten the cookies.

My dog died after post grooming. I have filed many complaints to u. Yet no results. Your insurance co. Been playing games with me. I have sent all pics and documentation of the result of the dead of my dog.

ER emergency also wrote a report illness came from post grooming and still no result from u. The nbc news got in touch with me this week. I will state to them what petco did do my baby.

I usually shop at Petco in Melbourne Florida but because of my cancer treatments I thought I would give Petco online a try. Two weeks ago I ordered a 4 lb bag of Whole Earth Farms Pork Beef and Lamb.

The bag came and the expiration date showed it was expired a few months ago. I called Petco right away and spoke with Shanalee and she said she would send out another bag that was not expired. Well that bag came yesterday and of course it was expired!

The birds in your LA Quinta store , ( LaQuinta, California. ) store are NOT Being fed! The employees are awful. They say there is food in the cages, however there is NOT! Help these little souls, this is unthinkable.

I’m just here to say how sad and upsetting it is to still see the treatment of Petco’s beta fish section. As someone who loves betas and have bought them from petco, it’s always heart wrenching to see the sick and dying betas in their dirty water and small cup.

To see these beautiful and intellectual creatures plopped in a cup and left like that for days , truly it’s wrong. If petco can’t provide proper holding tanks that has dividers to hold betas comfortably, then they need to lower the amount they are selling.

Or just not sell them at all for that matter. These fish deserve better treatment than what they are currently provided. I always see them sick, dying, or dead. And when I do see the healthy ones swimming fast in circles or engaging with me, I get so sad knowing their fate.…

I highly DO NOT recommend using Petco services. I prepaid for six puppy training classes at the 839 New York Ave Huntington NY location. I was only able to attend three classes. I was notified the trainer quit and I was going to be contacted by there other trainer to finish out the course.

I never heard even after going to the store in person twice. Only to find out second trainer quit, Pecto refuses to give me a refund. I’m just getting the run around by the store snd there customer service through Corporate.

The manager couldn’t even have the decency to call me back. Real great customer service on behalf of Petco.

I purchased a $26 package of dog diapers which I ended up not needing. When I was checking out they asked whether I wanted a receipt. I stupidly thought since they made it option I did not need a receipt to return any times.

Most large retailers (Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy) can pull up an order using the credit card that was used. Since the receipt seemed optional I figured they also had this capability. NOPE. So now I am stuck with store credit (first I will never go back there, but second I had to put my dog to sleep so a store credit is worthless).

If I would get another pet my purchases will occur on Amazon. How can an organization as large as Petco not have this capability?

Hello, Nicholas h here. Today I had the worst experience inside of your Albany location store #01243, never in my life have I ever been so disrespected... the manager (who I don't believe is the actual manager) "Alex" has no business whatsoever dealing with customers.

I arrived at your store today to do an exchange of a gift I had received. I did not have my debit card for the refund to be credited, only my credit card from capitol one. I had an interview at Bonney Lake, WA location with Phillip. They had a huge line, so I assumed I wait at what I thought was customer service. I did not know if I should wait in line. I stood there for 10 minutes no problem waiting for them to take care of customers first.

DO NOT sign up for Petco dog food delivery. This is the 3rd time Petco failed to deliver on time in less than 12 months. Petco emailed me and here was my exasperated response:

You won’t charge me until it’s back in stock? Why did you notify me with zero lead time to correct the problem? My dog can’t eat empty promises Petco. We just moved to FL. We made an appt at Yulee Petco to groom our dog online and put in our phone number. We never received confirmations or reminders but assumed Petco didn’t do that. On the day of appt, My husband brought the dog (40 min drive) for our appt time.

When he arrived he was treated very rudely.

Finally the manager came up and my husband was told our appt was cancelled because they had been communicating with an old phone number in the system that i have not had for 5 years. Apparently the person at that number received my confirmation and communicated back pretending to be us and they were rude.

We were shocked and apologized profusely and explained but he was turned away and asked to leave. When he returned home i was so upset i called the manager and explained again and…

Your company is infringing on my disability of irritable bowel syndrome by locking the bathroom at the Tucson location on Grant. I am sick and tired of companies locking their bathroom because of the homeless people. This is not fair to the people who do right.

The majority of the people make the right decisions and then we have to suffer for the people who do not like the homeless who mess up your bathroom. So when I have to go to the restroom to go number two....

I'm walking back to your bathroom and it's locked and then I have to walk all the way up to the front to ask him what the key code number is and then walk all the way back and within that amount of time I could possibly shit my pants.

Hi, Oreo has been using Petco for food, grooming and all purchases since we got her. She is celebrating her 2 year birthday and was excited to get this Birthday email from Petco: Surprise them with a trip to Petco where they can sniff out a new favorite toy. We went today and was told that it should have come with a coupon so it’s not valid and just an advertisement. Even the manager said it was misleading but unable to do anything. Just wanted to let you know we are very disappointed with Petco.
