I bought a cat scratcher for $183 it looks like a forest upon getting the box of the box was damaged when it was received furthermore there was no directions half the screws that were missing the rope was missing pieces were missing therefore I cannot complete this project the whole entire project has to go in the garbage and I can't return it because I cannot walk I've been on with the phone with them I've been on the phone with them for over 3 days and it's completely catastrophe I will never order from them again I highly recommend don't ever buy nothing from PetcoI'm going to file a serious complaint with consumer affairs and

Went to Petco to buy some fish. Was looking around and other customers were looking around and they got their fish. I finally decided which fish I wanted, was looking around the fish center for the fish attendant, didnt see anyone.

Looked around some more found someone asked could I get a fish, she proceeds to tell me they aren't selling fish anymore, I was like ummm Okay... thought to myself I just seen the other customers get fish and I cant get any.

It was 7:30pm-7:45pm it wasn't even 8pm which was the time they closed. I was just puzzled. Called the store asked if I could purchase fish staff told me that they only had 2 staff in the store and couldn't sell me any fish. I seen 3 staff.

All I know is I will not be going back to Petco again. Store located in Hickory, Nc

I was given gold fish from Petco as a surprise to start my new fish tank. Everything looked okay for the first couple of days. I had multiple fish inside my tank and then all of the sudden they became sick with ick.

Killed everything inside of my tank. After everything passed I had to a complete treatment inside of my tank. I went back to my local Petco only to find that every fish inside of there tanks were full of ick.

Weeks went by and there tanks are still full of it. Every single tank they have. Constantly selling to people and most likely killing there pets too. I am tired of seeing sick fish and them willingly selling to others knowing that it is bad disease.

Petco grooming. Was told by grooming employees that nail service was a walk in . Today I tried to call no answer 2 x it redirects you to make an appointment online which does not give the option of just a nail trim .

So I went down to local concord NH petco because I had been previously told by groomers that nail trim was a walk in service . I was turned away because she had too many booked appointments to complete. My dog is handicapped with bad knees so getting there is difficult.

Very disappointed in the customer experience.

I had an appointment for both of my dogs to be groomed today. I was pulling into the parking lot at 1:15 PM today when my phone rang and the Petco groomer told me she could not see my dogs because I was 15 minutes late, I explained I was pulling into the parking lot and

she told me one of my dogs was scheduled for 1:00 and the other at 1:15, the reminder was sent in two separate emails and I only read one for 1:15. She told me she could possibly do one dog but not both dogs.

I waited for over month for this appointment, I am also having the dogs trained and are working on the second level. In other words I spend a ton of money at this Petco and have referred many people to this store.

I let him know to call my home # because I don’t have cell service where I live. Since this is a complaint, why are you asking for a star rating??? I made a dog grooming reservation online with Petco this morning in Spokane Washington (North Division Store). I received a confirmation for my appointment by email and also by phone message.

Later I received a telephone call saying they had overbooked and had to cancel. I decided to call another Petco store in my city of Spokane (Sullivan Rd. Store). This time I spoke with someone in person over the phone and made a reservation. Again, I received confirmations.

AND---AGAIN I received a text cancelling the appointment. WHAT IS GOING ON? I have two dogs I take regularly for grooming at Petco, but if they are consistently unable to honor their reservations, I need to find another dog groomer!

On May 26th, I my son with his companion dog to the vet (Dr Njeri Cruse) at your 1610 Avenue Y, Brooklyn store. I used my bank credit card and the woman who took care of me said the machine to swipe the credit card was not working and she needed to go to the back to swipe the card.

Later that night I received an alert from my bank about Walmart purchases (2) card ending in 3065 and Uber charges (7) transactions. The bank had cancelled the card and issued another card ending in 1219, however the person seem to have made a copy of the card and Uber transactions were also reflected.

Andy (a female) employee in the Garden City Park Store was extremely rude and had an attitude. I attempted to buy some fish and she asked what size tank I had and how many fish are in it. She stated that she had to ask the questions.

I didn't mind her asking the question but when I answered that I was under the amount of fish for the tank, she abruptly (before I could say anything else) stated that if the fish die, they could not be returned. It was bad enough that she made that statement without explaining herself and why she needed to know further information, but it was also the tone in her voice - very condescending and nasty.

i used to shop here question often but due to this experience, I will refrain from buying anything in this store again. And yes, I am a rewards member.

To whom it may concern,

I tried to use a credit of $17.00. Just before the pandemic hit 12/10/19, I returned a bag of bird food. The cashier gave a re-stock receipt. I asked her where is the card that I would use? She said, you do not need a card just use the receipt, which was not a very good copy, So she circled the credit amount... of $17.00.

Well needless to say I have not been to stores throughout the pandemic. I went to store # 777, where I was originally told that I could use this receipt as a credit. I recently signed up for the monthly vital care service for teeth and nails. My wife took the dogs as I was down the st at the dentist. My wife told the manager she could not login into the app.

Manager threatened to keep my dogs as collateral if we could not log into the app. This was shocking and unacceptable to be threatening to keep my dogs.

I like the store personnel and the products but Petco's ads and deals are a terrible waste of time. Many are not really available in store or the website doesn't let you access them. The website referred me to the individual store and the store referred me to customer service.

The Chat said if I couldn't access the special offer it must not be available. ) All in all a terrible experience. I'm going to start looking for alternatives to Petco for the products I want.

I live near Petco in Weymouth. We purchased over $50 in pet treats for our dog. We were hoping to give our dog water before our walk home. The attendant said he didn’t have a disposable dish so he couldn’t give us water.

We walked to Starbucks and they were happy To give our dog a small cup of water and a smile. I find it sad a pet store that allows dogs inside doesn’t provide water...

Would not sell us any goldfish, small goldfish. I have never had a problem putting to small goldfish togeather in the same 20gallon tank as long as its kept up on very well and when they outgrow it move them to a bigger one.

I wish I could give them a 0! I went to get a little goldfish for an office tank. It’s a little tank. I know how to clean and take care of a little goldfish. The employee by the name of Chris told me goldfish are nothing but carp and can’t live in a small tank.

Really, I have had fish since I was 12 Years old and worked at a pet store for years! I know how to care for a 39 cent goldfish! If he didn’t want to get a goldfish he should have gotten someone who did!

I had a difficult time trying to checkout to purchase one item from the store today. The cashier had asked for my phone number in order to complete the transaction and I gave it to her but she said it was not in there and pulled out a handbook to reference this issue for quite some time. I said to let those behind me go ahead and left the store without my purchase.

Only one associate that would help me in the whole store. I decided to purchase a fish tank today but took 25 minutes of waiting searching all over the store for a associate never could find one. I should have taken my money elsewhere because obviously Petco did not want or need it.

One cashier up front with a very long line was the only 1 to help me while leaving 9 customers at the counter waiting to check out. I'm on my way home with great regrets of spending $210 in your store.

I went in to get my dog's nails trimmed and they said they had no time. I have been going there more than 15 years it takes them no longer than 3 minutes she's a small dog. I would have waited a half hour or so I had other shopping to do but they said no.

They never had said they never had time to do my dog's nails in the past. so I went to PetSmart got it done plus I got my other shopping done. You lost a lot of money just because of your employees not wanting to do something.

Please take this complaint seriously. My dog was traumatized from his grooming experience at the Potrero store in San Francisco. My happy, friendly dog has been scared, stressed, and fear reactive from the moment I picked him up three days ago.

He cannot relax and is going to need Prozac if he can't calm down. I don't know what happened behind closed doors, but I know he was severely mistreated. He has never had an issue with grooming before. They weren't able to finish the groom, so he had a shaved body with long doodle fur on his head, tail, and underarms.

On 5/2/21 I purchased (2) 10 count better belly pork chips and the sales tag said B1G1 1/2 off the male employee with tattoos on his face was rude about it and refused to give me the sales price. I have 6 dogs and so I bought both still at the normal price.

I was gonna let it slide but today at 2:30 I purchased 30 crickets for my bearded dragon and stood there for 20 minutes waiting for them finally my cashier Sara went and got them. I left at 2:50pm. I am a manager at my store and I never tell my customer no on the sales tag I honor it due to the fact on how much is spent yearly by that customer in my store.

I pad 72 $ + TIP for a very basic service. I paid for ears and teeth cleaning and dog wasn’t taken care of because teeth and ears are exactly same conditions as when I brought the dog in. Still, they made me pay for the service!

my husband went on 05/12/2021 to purchase a Purple Tang fish and we brought it home and let it sit in the water separate from the other fish as they have informed us to do to be certain the fish will adapt to the water. I got my dog groomed at petco today and paid $104. I knew my dog was getting shaved which was fine, but I received him back and it was obvious they only shaved him and did nothing else. He doesn’t smell like he got a bath, she said she would shave his ears and did not there is still hair inside which I will now have to go take him to the vet and

pay again when I already paid your grooming department to do it, and they didn’t not even brush him. His tail and head were the only parts not shaved and they were left exactly how they were when we brought him in, they did not even attempt to brush them.

I went to the Petco location in Windsor, CT on May 2. The employee refused to sell me fish because she felt that my tank didn’t run long enough for me to get them and she asked me to come back another day.

I told her I wasn’t traveling back to that store any other day. She went to consult with the store manager and began ringing customers. I had to go to her and ask her why she never returned to continue helping me.

I ended up just leaving the items I had in my hand on a shelf and I just walked out the store and brought my business elsewhere. It was not her call to decide what day I should buy fish and being a customer she should not have refused me service.

I will travel far to avoid that store.

I wanted to adopt a Guinea pig that was adorable $20 fee . The worker said okay . One of the other worker said she was holding it for a few hours for another customer. The Petco store at 1500 N Town E Blvd in Mesquite Texas runs-off customers routinely, that store is horribly managed. Again today same routine as many times during the past couple of years: This time it was 5/6/2021 Thurs 5:05 pm I waited in fish area for 20 minutes after I had to frequently flag down store employees asking them to please get someone to net fish I want to buy.

But then all the employees in that store each still stood around register doing nothing & not many customers were in the store. Gary at the petco on mcknight road was extremely rude and ignorant , when I cashed out I asked him to get me crickets he gave me an attitude about it and told me you don’t get them up front when I asked another employee they told me to get them at check out.

He then continued to ring out other guests and told me I can wait until he is done. I stood there for 10 minutes when he then said go back to aquatic and someone else will get them. I come to this petco at least 4 times a week and all of the other employees are nice and friendly .

He was not and I did not appreciate the way that he talked and treated me.

The Stonecrrst store (and all other stores in the Atlanta area) is horrible.. they never have anything.. always low stock or they don’t have it at all.. you sell salt aquarium accessories but never have the water.. NEVER! I will never use this store again.. it’s the absolute worse!!

Petco Orange City Florida. Worst customer service and treatment from Tonya B. This lady had an attitude and even when I’m explaining what I’m asking for was done every time my dog been there this being like the 4 or 5 visit.

She still refused to take care of my dog and this was with an appointment already set up. Her attitude was unprofessional and her behavior was nasty. The manager Amanda had to step up and take care of the services requested and explained without attitude what needed to be done.

The manager at the camillus ny store located at township 5 was very rude to me. I am 78 years old and couldn’t hear her very well. When I was asking questions about my cat food she proceeded to yell very loudly next to my head to another employee for them to go to the register.

I tried to make an appointment to have both my little dogs groomed. I told the manager I wasn't sure about the age ( I recently rescued them and I am a senior citizen, so memory is challenging--and I have other dogs so I get their ages confused!

Ordered a collar ID tag for my dog on April 16, 2021 (order# 60382785120959). I then waited several days for an email shipment notification but never received one. On April 20, 2021, I called Petco to inquire about the status of my order. A representative informed me that my item was on back order, but would be shipped as soon as possible. My mastiff has been to the same store in Clearwater multiple times without issue. He's big and rowdy but so sweet and friendly. Today all the staff was rude and acted like they couldn't handle him said he wouldn't go in kennel so treated as express. Next time would charge.

My complaints were the girl they assigned to him never called him by name or tried to pet him and he is very people oriented. She pit choke collar on him and when I picked him up she was choking him so hard when he was in a secure are with me I had to tell her to stop choking my dog.

He wanted out of there so bad. The whites of his eyes were blood red from being choked. He raced to my car and flew into the back seat. His neck is sore. Hire people who can handle animals. You almost choked my giant teddy bear to death.…

We have three dogs that we had taken to the local Petco store for hair cuts. They took the one dog and ended up keeping him for seven an half hours that day. The other two dogs were there the next day for five an half hours an really did not even get any thing close too what you could call even a trim.

We spent well over $150 in the two days, and did not get any thing worth while the second day. The dogs don't even act the same after being kept for such long periods of time. Petco across from cherrydale/pleasantburg. The staff is very nice, but the reptiles are in awful condition. All of their enclosures were reading barely above room temperature. A savannah monitor looked like it was dying (if it wasn't already dead).

I was also disappointed at the reptiles that were being carried: 2 Savannah monitors, a red and black &white tegu, and a mangrove monitor. Those are all VERY complex reptiles that grow to be very large and need enclosures that are 8 feet+. Tegus in particular are currently being monitored by DNR for concerns of invasive population growth. These animals are also very dangerous to humans (especially children, or those who are inexperienced with reptiles).
