I feel that I am being charged a returned charge fee unfairly. On February 25, I made my monthly payment that was due by February 29 and received a confirmation email. A,few days later I was notified by email that my payment did not get processed thru my bank.

I called customer service on March 4 and paid by debit card. Now I get an email saying that I owe an extra $20 or $25. No one can give me proof of the 1st payment being declined by my bank.

They tell me to contact my bank but says they do not have any information that I can use to give the bank about the declined payment. Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Progressive seems to believe because their insurance is cheap they have a right to be condescending and over the to rude. I rather pay expensive insurance than deal with profiling racist associates. If you dont want your job give it to someone whi does.

I am a 71 year old whose business has collapsed because of Covid 19. MIchigan has a new insurance law that allows us to save on personal injury protection starting July 1, 2020. I tried and tried to call Progressive about changing my policy so I could get the savings. I got the run around. I never thought I would be writing anything negative about Progressive Insurance, but it was just appalling how I was treated as we all know the corona virus has affected the nation. I never thought that I would be subjected to having my insurance canceled due to non payment.

While I realize that bills must get paid I was out of work and actually just received my first pay all I asked was for more time. Nonetheless it was not extended and in turn I was canceled

You increase your customers rates every year 50 + dollars for no GOOD reason (and I have heard them all from your customer service) Your increases are for your advertising department, your budget is 6 times plus more than other insurance companies. They use one person and sometimes a admitted creature.

You use 6 dumb and dumber persons to advertise your company. Your customers are paying for that , not you. We have to pay more for your annoying adds.

I’ve had the worst experience with Progressive out of all the insurance companies. On 6/18, the other driver had ran a red light, did not slow down or swerve to avoid me, and rear ended me in the taillights, causing significant damage.

Even though I was only hit in the taillights, there was so much damage that the battery in the back smashed into pieces. The cost to repair is over 10k; I’m also suffering from whiplash injuries. Her headlights were also not turned on on this rainy day.

When I was at the intersection, I didn’t see anyone approaching at all. She came so fast and hit me in the taillights that I had no way of avoiding her. Yet, they only took her word that she “tried” to slow down and is therefore not at fault.

Let me be perfectly clear, the only reason why I’m writing this complaint is so that no one has to go through what I went through. The lack of responsibility, professionalism, and humanity in the interaction I had with your road side assistance drove me to look for other insurance companies.

It actually guaranteed that Progressive will never have my business again. So let me start. Saturday the 26th of June I was on my way up to WI for a short but well deserved vacation. As if the whole world isn’t going crazy right now.

About a 115mi from my house and roughly the same distance from my vacation destination my car broke down. This was around 4PM. I wasn’t completely sure what to do being so far from home so I called my insurance company, Progressive.

Company added my adult daughter to my auto policy as a driver without my consent and proceeded to attempt to withdraw funds from my checking account. When the payment declined, I called to see what I was being charged for; as my policy was paid in full.

The underwriting department added my daughter as a driver and she is 24 years old, has her own car and policy and has not resided with me since going to college. They refused to withdraw her as a driver until I could prove she did not live at our address, even though they spelled her name wrong and no document would be able to verify this information due to the incorrect spelling.

Needless to say, I was less than pleased and had to cancel my policy.

Progressive agent added used for rideshare on my vehicle so they could take additional money from me every month for the extra premium. Once I confronted customer service they said they would look into the recording and get back with me.

(To prove if I asked for rideshare endorsement be added to the policy or not) The recording of when I signed up magically disappeared so I was told there’s nothing they can do and I won’t be refunded. Funny how the one thing that could prove my innocence wasn’t available when it would have benefited me and not them.

I’ve NEVER driven for rideshare. I’ve NEVER even filed a claim with them and when I asked for this to be set right they did nothing. My family will never give Progressive another dollar again. My friends and relatives will know as well.

was involved in an accident where the other vehicle hit me and tried to leave the scene. They decided that I was at fault. There was a car that stalled in front of me and the truck was behind me.

I tried to move around the stalled car and the truck also tried to move. M y car front end was in the other lane and the truck came from behind and hit me. I tried to get info from Gio Guzman, your employee, and he refused to provide me with photos, etc, so i could get an independent adjustment and spent 15 minutes or so trying to discourage me with that and an appeal.

The gentleman didn't want to call police because of COVID-19. He was uninsured and it has been a nightmare trying to get them to hear my side.. I was definitely not at fault because my front end was already in that lane.

So my complaint is that I pay alot of money for full coverage insurance. Progressive insurance is a massive company I expect that they should fight for there customers I expect nothing less. My vehicle was parked in a empty parking lot at night and an employee there hit and ran my vehicle I had a fellow employee witness the accident ok.

This is open and shut case so when I'm contacted by my adjuster and he tells me my options and that I basically need to take care of this myself by contacting the other insurance company and getting police report and pictures of other vehicle and that he hasnt even looked at the details of my case that is unacceptable.

I’ve been contacted by Underwriting several times related to prior insurance verification. In their list of acceptable documents they list the prior ID Card. While speaking to a rep, they noted underwriting wanted documents to prove I’m a home owner and prior coverage. So I sent my previous Ins ID Card and the declaration page of my homeowners as instructed.

I have now sent underwriting 3 sets of documents. Verification of prior coverage from geico, it included the policy #, termination date, coverage limits and deductibles. That wasn’t good enough. I called and spoke to Jonathan in your Tampa, Florida office yesterday on a quote for full car insurance. I told him I did an online quote for full coverage and wanted to make sure it was done correctly. He assured me it was gave me a quote and stated he had to have underwriting take a look and i'd hear from then with in 1 hour if we could proceed with the current quote or a new one.

December 31, 2019, I contacted Progressive regarding a charge to my banking account that was not a usual account. I was informed at that time that the amount was associated with an account that was not mine. I requested that the charge be reversed.

I was told that it could not happen and that I would need to contact my bank. I contacted my bank and again requested written documentation from progressive that the amount deducted from my banking account was not associated with my insurance policy.

A client of progressive was totally "at fault" and pulled in front of my wife's new Murano. My wife t-boned the car and messed up our car pretty bad. The car was repaired and looked very good. When we went to trade the car in two years later, structural damage was reported on the Carfax report due to the accident.

The value of my vehicle was about $3500-$5000 less than the Kelly Blue Book value because of this accident which was of no fault of ours. I have been in "negotiations" with progressive about diminished value and the most they would offer was $950.

I am out several thousand dollars and they won't budge. Let me say this again, NONE OF THIS WAS OUR FAULT!!! PLEASE HELP. My family can't afford to pay that kind of difference.

PROGRESSIVE HAS TO BE THE WORSE INSURANCE COMPANY IN THE USA. IT DOES NOT PAY TO PAY for INSURANCE TO THESE TV SOLICITED COMPANIES. BIG MONEY! BIG HEADACHE AND BIGGER PROBLEMS! I WAS A PASSENGER IN A PROGRESSIVE INSURED VEHICLE.

My complaint is an ongoing issue. We are having a horrible experience with you auto coverage here where we live in Geneva IL. Your adjuster has just deemed my Daughters 2017 VW Beetle a total. The buy out they are offering is far less that what we own.

We bought this car brand new and put money down on it. You wanna give over 1000 less than what is owned on the car. This is unacceptable as I am seeing this same vehicle selling for alot more than what you are giving for it.

After a couple of weeks of this very stressful process of proving my residency for over a year, I have learned that there are some areas that Progressive can improve on. The very first time I called the Customer Service number to settle my issue, your automated service wasn't as helpful to guiding me to a person to resolve my issue.

Progressive was quick to accept the call of the claim, initiated the repair process. The representative who reviewed the car for repair was great and called to keep me updated. The problem came from the person assigned the case, Taylor Kraft.

She was unprofessional in communication, did not call nor email to keep me updated as to the status of the case; she did not timely file an Uninsured Motorist claim, I had to call and inquire about that after 30 days had passed. The technician who came to the rescue received a fee of 40 dollars of gasoline, but actually only added 8 miles of gasoline. As the car parked in the toll parking lot, the vehicle that came to the rescue needed to pay a parking fee of 18 dollars.

I paid the technician $18 in cash, but he finally ran into the toll bar and fled. This kind of untrustworthy behavior makes me embarrassed.

Been with progressive since 2017. After two years, recently moved in with the inlaw to save money for my wife and I to buy a house. Unfortunately I was in a car accident, hit and run. Police report even states so.

Yet now coincidentally right after I filed a claim progressive is asking for proof of residence. Their list is extremely limiting for someone for a non-owner/non renter. My mother in law submitted proof she owns the house. But they are requesting documents for my wife and I that would require us to be paying utilities, or something else that has to do with being an owner or renter.

I am very disappointed and frustrated. I have never had so many issues with an insurance company. I file my claim when I got into my accident on 07/24/2019, I still have not spoken to my adjuster directly. Zero rating!!! Had an accident with one of their client. Their client was deemed at fault and received a citation. We called progressive trying to do it the legal way instead of calling our insurance. Low and behold from day one they tried to get us to do a 80/20.

Eighty percent for their client fault and twenty percent our fault, baloney, How is it that you want us to claim responsibility for when your client caused the accident. My car was stolen by my kids dad. Just because he was my kids dad, they wouldn’t put it under theft even though I had a police report. So now it’s going to be on my record and I have a clean record.

Second of all, my two tires and rims were damaged when my car was stolen. Not only did I have to pay a $500 deductible but I also had to pay $115 for wear and tear on my old tires that got damaged when it got stolen.

Kept giving me the run around. 2/10/19 I was in a car accident involving 3 cars and I was in the middle of both. Driver that hit me was covered by Allstate but they closed the claim because there was no damage to their vehicle.

I filed a claim due to an accident. I was assigned Breanna Grigsby as my claim rep. I have been with progressive for more than 10 years and have filed claims in the past and have never had any issues.

Breanna reaches out to me and took my statement. I then dropped my car off the next day at the autonation garage in chandler AZ as she suggested for repairs. I trusted progressive to take care of me. I was able to drive my car just fine to the garage.

When I went to pick up my car I had issues switching gears and there were loud noises coming from my engine and my car made a grinding noise when I placed it in park. I brought this to the garages attention and opted to leave my car there as it was not in the condition I left it in.

I used the road side assistance for a tow on 7-29-19. I was not happy with the process of scheduling the tow and I waited over six hours. I used the app as suggested and was told on a call back that there was no record of my reported claim.

The last three hours of waiting were in the parking lot of a closed restaurant next to an interstate and a truck stop. I am now getting my car serviced and am being told that there are more issues then my original one.

I am being told that the rear end of my car is shot and that it is due to an improper tow.

The headlight I fixed from the May accident got busted again, and this time I punctured a hole in my radiator, and my engine blew. When I filed this claim I stated this originally before anybody came to look at my car that my engine was gone.

The rep came and looked at it and only wanted to pay out for the cosmetic damage done, he didn't start the car to listen to how the car sounded or see the radiator overheat. He looked and saw I had no oil, or antifreeze.
