m. I tried to submit this on the website, but it said the server was down each time I tried. I have receipts and a copy of the ad to show but this site won’t allow me to upload them due to their size.

It was store #1289 in Sacramento. 88 per pound. 19. The other item was salmon. 99 per pound. 41 pound whole filet. I would be happy to receive a gift card or credit to my safeway for u account as a refund.

We are 19 year customers of the Safeway on 7110 North Oracle in Oro Valley AZ. 00 dollars of groceries and need help with the bagging. For the past 6 months there has been no help whatsoever when it comes to checking out despite the person at checkout requesting help on the phone.

I asked one of the managers for help but she said there was no help and went back to talking to a co-worker. We rarely need any help in the store and have noticed fewer emails liters in the store.

The push is to self-checkouts which are good for 10-15 items but not for older people like us with many items. I will be sad to no longer shop at this Safeway store but that decision is coming soon. Service no longer seems to be important to this Safeway store. Kathleen Cherry

Made my weekly grocery purchase at Safeway 2449 this morning. Rosa the checker carefully stacked my purchases on the belt for the "bag person". I provided my own bags. The bagger literally dumped everything in my bags with no regard for light, heavy, frozen or fresh pastry.

He clearly DID NOT CARE. I spent $132 and was treated like a major inconvenience. Why do I have to bag my own grocery purchase?

I just tried to file this complaint on Safeway's website and when you go to press "submit" nothing happens. It just sits there. I am writing to you about experiences I have had over the last week at BOTH the local stores owned by your brand. The Safeway store at 5100 Broadway, Oakland. And the Pak and Save Foods 3889 San Pablo Ave, Emeryville.

Upon entering the store, there are never any carts or hand baskets available in the store. This is the case for both stores. It's a chronic problem that seems to be getting worse. I had to walk around each store for ten plus minutes trying to find a cart. Finally, in both cases I had to ask someone to have a staff member go round up carts from the parking lot. I never found a basket at all. Did you get rid of them?

Round Steak, 5.14 lbs, on sale for $1.97. Feb , purchased week of Feb 12, 2023.

I purchased this steak and took home to divide in portions. When I turned it over, it was so full of a very hard thick fat. I was so disappointed , but proceeded to trim all the fat off the meat, which I usually do anyway, where there's a normal amount on it. It was 2 steaks, and a good buy for todays prices, so I purchased a larger than normal amount. I have NEVER purchased a piece of meat with so much solid , hard fat on it. I weighed it on my digital scale out of curiosity, it came up to 1.8lbs. of fat. I will admit I ended up taking some red meat with it at times, as I was really frustrated, but not enough to make anything with it, so I was aggressive with it. On Feb. 00) order for grocery to be delivered to my home address in Seattle WA. on the instruction I specifically wrote to: " ring intercome # 48, preceed to elevator to 4th floor and leave groceries on the door on unit 48".

Safeway email me later that my groceries were delivered. Only to find out there's was no delivery . I called Safeway and spoke to an employee named "Tim", he esxplained to me that in their receipt say's it was delivered to same address but to #38 .

I called an hour after the designated delivery time. In that order were some ferishable foods. Safeway did'nt care.

My name is Jeannine Sharpe. , thick cut hickory bacon from Jewel on 7500 S. Stony Island, Chicago IL. It was on sale for $17. Having purchased this product in the past, I was very disappointed and dissatisfied this time.

The bacon was very thin (see attached). If I wanted poor quality bacon, I could have bought the cheaper brand. I wasn't able to return it because it was opened, so I kept it. Needless to say I wasn't, and am not happy. com or mobile 773-294-7807. Thank you, Jeannine Sharpe

Getting frustrated and extremely irritated that I still seem to see a substitution when I specifically check off “NO SUBSTITUTIONS”.

Also getting exasperated that basic items like Lucerne lactose free milk, fage yogurt, tofu and other items are out of stock. How can these basic items be out of stock for such a huge corporation and yet I was able to go my corner store and find tofu and fage yogurt?

As for Lucerne milk, I was able to locate similar products at Nob Hill Foods (and a little lower in price). Even Trader Joe’s had tofu and fage yogurt. I guess if I decide to continue shopping at Safeway I’ll have to find a better location and go to the store to shop.

I’ll save a few dollars by not paying for delivery fees and bags.

There is an employee/cashier named Jennifer, heavy set, and short blue hair. She is always sitting, not standing, complaining of how many people are in her line, and today she was wearing sunglasses while checking, and we caught her with her hands down the front of her pants tucked under belly roll before she started scanning items.

That was very unsanitary and disturbing to say the least. She also tries to tell me how to parent when disciplining my son in her line. I personally will never go through her line again. Not too mention when I asked her where something was she said she was off the clock and told me I needed to find someone else.

i went to get some ribs that were onsale the woman said it was a digital offer so i had to show my phone which was at home i read your coupon policy which say i can only get 2 packages of ribs at the 1.97 price so i give up . your coupon policy ( these were on a digital coupon so apparently theres a page of ifs ans or buts in your policy

The safeway in Herndon VA on Elden Street advertises that with a new prescription I am eligible for a grocery card worth 75.00

However, when I did provide a new prescription they indicated that because I am on Medicare I am not eligible. 1)First of all, I do not have a medicare drug plan so I am not on Medicare drug plans.

2) This was not advertised on the door into Safeway where a free grocery card was advertised. No "ifs" and or exclusions were advertised. This is fraudulent advertising.

3) Why are you excluding people on medicare - this is discrimination against old people.

I went to your Emeryville store and the worst experience ever at a grocery store. We are a family of four and I can promise you will never see a penny of our money again!! As I was leaving you had a gentleman that was trying to steal security had stopped them.

The guy came outside and was immediately all over me begging, which is very normal there . I’ve never been there without being harassed. So when I didn’t give to the guy he put his hands on me trying to fight and another costumer tried to stop him and then the guy started trying to fight him.

Was standing to get 2 pieces of cooked chicken for along time and staff at the Chinese counter refuse to serve me. I have to wait for another staff to hand me the chicken. I missed to watch my playoff foot ball game this Saturday,1/23/2023 because of this inefficiency. Safeway Hercules ca store manager said the Chinese counter belongs to another company. This is not acceptable to me as the staff at the Chinese counter is wearing a Safeway uniform and the counter is not labeled Chinese Store and wI pay at the Safeway Che k out. If this is the case the Chinese counter should be set up similar to Starbucks counter . Please correct this. I don’t want to miss any other important game

2023. I went to customer service, and asked to use the restroom, a very cordial gentleman directed to me to the restroom pointing in the direction of the stairs. When I was in the stall I heard someone enter the restroom.

When I left the stall there was a female outside of the stall she was in her mid 60’s perhaps with brunette hair, who stated to me that I was using the employee restroom. She was literally just standing there waiting to confront me.

I was humiliated by the manager... This started about 3 weeks ago, I was shopping with my son. I had to use the self pay machine since the beginning the machine keep giving me problems when I would scan something it would process it and rite after it would ask for assistance.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to report an unprofessional manager at the Watsonville store on freedom blvd. in California. Myself and my children were in line with Samantha who was delightful and helpful, when a manager named Rhonda came up to the line we were standing in and reprimanded Samantha.

She was upset with her for reportedly being on her phone and stated that a customer had “taken a picture of her on her phone” and was confronting her in front of an entire line of people! Samantha told me later that she was answering a call about her father in the hospital.

The man behind me stated that he believes Rhonda should get a demotion because of how unprofessional that was. To me, I’d way rather see an employee on her phone, especially given the situation, than a rude manager…

1/14/2023. I tried to use the Safeway app for the first time this morning at store 1792. It would not open; error message. Cashier tried when I was checking out and received the same message. Not available. After getting home I called customer service and spoke with three reps (disconnected twice) and asked them to walk me thru the process for downloading the app and how to use it.

Two of the reps were unable to adequately explain how the app works. Both of them referred me to store employees to get assistance (which I had already done earlier, while at the store). Both reps hung up on me when they could not explain the company’s procedure for using the application.

The third representative adequately answered my questions and, I think, I have a basic understanding about Safeway’s app…

I arrived to The junction City Oregon location 3 minutes before they were supposed to close. I was in desperate need to get one thing which was allergy medication for my 8-year-old son who was having a bad allergic reaction.

not so bad that he had to go to the hospital but bad enough where he needed medication. I arrived to the location to find the sliding glass doors already closed the customer still inside. The clerk comes to let customers outside of the building and when I asked him to please let me grab one thing you responded with nope sorry.

The pharmacy in Madras Oregon is so mismanaged that we are collectively going to look at who oversees this federally. The pharmacist and staff say this is how safeway wants it. The waits and lack of correspondence between the pharmacy and customers is obscene.

They don't answer the phone, they don't call back. The waits in line are in the upwards of 30 minutes to over an hour. I believe that executives are aware of these problems and do not care. Imagine being sick standing in line for your new prescription for an hour.

To name one of many situations that are unacceptable. I have watched safeway buy up all the rights to fill from pharmacies unable to sustain the financial and legal burdens. So being the almost only game in town do not care anything about service only the dollar.

I would like to make a complaint about the deli worker at the safeway at 6520 s academy boulevard in Colorado springs, 80906. I have been a faithful safeway shopper for many years. Tonight I went there to shop and I went to the deli and I ordered 2 things at approximately 7 pm 1/8/23.

The deli was open and the deli worker rolled his eyes at me and made me feel that I was bothering him. I said please and thank you and he was horribly rude, I went and made a complaint to the manager on duty as well.

This is an offshore number. A person is not able to get help calling 1-877-258-2799. it's useless. This is the 2nd online order I've placed. Both were totally screwed up. The last one showed my groceries were delivered... that was a lie.

Why are you offering a service that you are unable to fulfill delivery and time commitments? Im now begging told the order I made 01/02/23 is being refunded because delivery can't be confirmed until next week. Do you call this customer service?

Where I'm employed this type of "customer service" would cause many to be terminated. I'm a very disappointed Safeway customer. Truth be told I never liked shopping at your company. These experiences are reinforcing my feelings.

I'm reporting 2 very discerning, possibly discriminatory actions of whom I believe to be a lead pharmacist at the Safeway located at 3526 King St, Alexandria, VA 22302. I had two prescriptions transferred and prescribed separately by my doctor through Cigna Ins, I had through my employer, Arlington Co.

DPR, (not Medicaid which I believe she's using as an excuse) from a Giant Pharmacy to that location, as it's more convenient for me to pick them up on the way to my 2nd evening/ night job, along with taking advantage of your $25- $50 promo regarding upon transferring prescriptions a customer would be gifted an initial $25 gift card and a stamp card whereas after 5 refills would receive a $50 gift card.

With my first prescription, there weren't any problems with the original pharmacist…

A coupon for Open Nature cage free large eggs was in our Safeway advertisement for Open Nature Caige free eggs at $3.99 per dozen with a limit of 4. I have a rain check because there were none in store 2044. I shop at Safeway twice a week. That brand of eggs has never been in stock. Today I talked to two men who were replenishing the egg racks. They told me that they have not had them in the store for a very long time.

I request four coupons, each for one dozen Lucerne large eggs for $3.99 each.

As a previous CEO I learned years ago they to be profitable a business must satisfy its customers. If you do they will be loyal and go to your business instead of a competitor’s. We have several choices in Green Vally as you know.

I live in Castro Valley, Ca. 94546. The weekly Safeway mailer listed lobster tails, 3oz-5oz, on sale for $4 each. M. this morning, 12/30/22, and spoke with someone in the meat dept. I asked if he had any of the larger tails in the 5 oz range.

He said that he had the larger ones and there were plenty. I went to the store at 9:00 and saw a few small tails in the display. I had the clerk weigh 3 of them and the total was approximately a little over 1/2 pound, around 3oz each.

He said that was all that came in the order. , pointing out that the ad indicated 3oz-5oz which I already knew. I called, was given false information, and drove to the store for the purpose of getting the 5 oz tails.

I feel that the promotion was handled as a bait-and-switch to the dishonor of the Safeway reputation.…

I have been shopping at this Safeway/Balfour for 6 years. I was shopping yesterday & on the floor in the aisle was wet paper towels. I almost slipped on them. “Norm” was a few feet away chatting w/some people. I showed him the hazard & he looked at me & said he was off the clock & wasn’t working that day?? He walked away.

The employees here are always harrasing me and watching me walk around the store. Can’t even shop in peace without someone assuming your shop lifting. ”we know what you do when you come here”. As I was walking out with my receipt in hand.

I don’t understand the night crew at this Safeway. They are quick to assume because of your skin tone and age. I was utterly annoyed and embarrassed to have to experience such an ugly performance. I felt attack by one of these employees and I don’t think it’s right because they are older they think they can use age discrimination against someone.

I placed an order to have groceries delivered on December 26 from 1 to 5 PM. When my groceries hadn’t been delivered by 5:30, I called. I was told that the driver would contact me within 30 minutes. No call.

When I called the second time and asked for a supervisor, the representative put my call directly through to your survey. At 9:30 PM , I called again. I was told that the store had an outage and my groceries would be delivered the next day.

I am 77 years old. My dinner was part of that order . This is not the treatment I expect from Safeway. All my in-person encounters with tSafeway employees at my local store have been positive. This is a disgrace sir.

Here in Page Az every add that you have to have on your phone app 25% of the items are not on your self checkout or at the register is not in so they have to go check it out witch I'm right every time but it takes a half hour to check out.

So I talked to Tima the manager and she said both times it's not her problem and walks away, very unprofessional. You need to get rid if her and get someone that knows how to do there job. And treat the customers with respect instead of like shit

So this is my second complaint with this issue and on last time complaint I spoke with someone from corporate and still nothing has been done as mater of fact it's gotten worse . I can never find plain Soy Milk at Safeway it's always out and even if I go to other Safeway store's still no product and it seems Safeway got rid of their organic brand of Soy .

I use a LOT of your Lucerne 12oz. processed cheese slices. For years it has been offered to me as a Just 4 U item in my Weekly Savings email. Currently the every- day price in the store is $2.99. (Depending on when this is read, it could be higher.) Beginning about two months ago, my Just 4 U price became $6.17. Thinking it was a fluke, I thought the error would be corrected the next time around. Here we are after THREE calls to customer service, and the problem remains. How hard can it be to contact whatever department that enters Just 4 U prices into the system, and get this corrected? The lady I spoke with today told me it was previously sent to the wrong department to get the problem corrected.

My name is Candace Strother. The server was rude and very short when I asked her general questions. The conversation escalated when she told me to pay for my drinks after they were prepared and I’d already paid after my order was placed.

The cashier at the checkout was rude which was a totally unwarranted. As she was bagging, she asked me if I wanted paper or plastic, I told her paper and was very nice about it. When she got to the dozen eggs I was purchasing she asked if it was ok if she just placed them at the top of the bag, I said sure, as long as they don't break.

" I found this truly offensive and did not see why she had to get upset. I frequent the Safeway at 1624 Belle View Blvd, Alexandria, VA 22307 every so often but I will definitely think twice next time. I couldn't find my receipt to give you the register number which is unfortunate because I think this person should not be working with the public.
