I am a long time customer of Safeway in Scottsdale and my husband and I spend thousands of dollars there a year; it is our "go to" grocery store. 00 worth) and at checkout I asked the cashier for paper bags.

She loaded my items (2 bags) and I asked her for an extra bag. She asked me why I wanted it "and I answered I wanted one for home. She then told me that Safeway has to pay for these bags" and I answered "well can you sell me a bag".

She said no, she would just give it to me and she put it in with my groceries. I was surprised and annoyed at her cross examination and scolding. Safeway can't give up one "free" bag for a faithful customer. Really!!

I used to buy the National brand of Breaded Spicy Chicken Wings before you introduced the Compliments brand as a replacement. As a single person, I used to be able to get a full two dinners from a single box.

Now you have replaced the National brand with the Compliments one, and you have used shady packaging to fool us into thinking it is the better of the two. When in fact, the Net weight of the packaging happens to include two packages of dipping sauce.

So for an equivalent price, you are selling us less chicken at the same pricing as the National brand was, but charging us meat pricing for sauces most of us won't even use. The box says 800 grams 10+ wings.

A sneaky way of saying that there is that much chicken when it's not true. I wonder if the Consumer Protection Agency should know…

12/16/22 My husband & I are long tome customers of Safeway, Scottsdale. It's our go-to grocery store and we spend thousands of dollars a year there. I picked up a couple of bags of groceries today & asked the cashier for another paper bag.

She ask why I wanted one more bag and I told her I wanted it for home. " which she answered no I'll give it to you. I was very surprised and annoyed for the cross examination and the scolding.

Safeway can't afford to "give away" one bag? Really?

On this weeks ad . You have a one day deal 12/16 Exclusive Digital Coupon, for 10 lb of Chicken Leg Quarters. My local store that we have patronized for over 20 years. Does not have the item and according to the meat department will not have it.

This is what is called a “come on” in the scheme of things. You achieved getting me into your store that is for sure. I purchased other items but couldn’t help but feel that I was manipulated by your deceitful ad.

It’s not the first time your ads have done this. Really Safeway this is how you treat faithful customers? I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau # 18599707. My patronizing your stores surely is in doubt at this time.

But I’m sure you could care less. Seeing that you are a corporate monster.

I help my 90 year old blind and disabled mother with all of her medical. We need to transfer a prescription from another Safeway to Alameda Southshore. I called the former pharmacy (2 hour drive each way) which had it filled and ready to go.

They told me to call Alameda Southshore and request it be transferred and filled. I did. Several times. And waited on the phone 20-30 minutes. I was disconnected several times.

Finally I spoke to the pharmacy tech. He said Safeway southshore is out of stock of this medicine. I asked when it would be in stock. He said he had no idea. It could be weeks or longer. I explained to him that this was an important medication and my mother needed it.

He told me to drive 4-5 hours round trip and pick it up at the previous pharmacy! When I tried to find out…

The deli department staff is so rude and unfriendly. I just move to Richland 3 months ago from Spokane Washington. The Safeway in Spokane on the south hill had people who care and were friendly. I go to the Safeway in Richland because it's close to my house and I'm 73 and don't like to drive far to get groceries. I've given these folks many chances is to be nice and courteous. You have to flag them down to get service and they yell " will be right with you". They go in back to pick their nose or something. When they finally arrive they're rude. I get it, they need a job they don't want to work at Safeway. They need to get over that and play the role - I'm a nice person. Usually folks who wanted some deli meats walk away when no one helps them

In my recent visit to Safeway, Ellicott City, MD, I was disappointed that I could not use a discount which was of value to me because I could not access a digital coupon. I felt I was discriminated against because I only have a flip phone and could not access what was needed.

I did ask for the cashier for this discount advertised, but another employee was in line in front of me and said I could not get the discount. I did say that was discrimination, but to no avail.

My Husband and I have been calling the pharmacy (206) 243-2796 @ the local Safeway in Burien Wa. on 138 SW 148th St. Burien Wa. 98166. We've been calling for over a half hour, from 2:10pm to 2:40pm and it just rings until a message comes on saying that no pharmacy employees can help us at this time.

Have you closed your Pharmacy? So I called the stores direct line @ (206) 243-3043. The voice mail tree says to dial 8 to get the customer service line. So, I punched '8' to get customer service and it just rings and rings, and rings until it then goes right back to the same voice message asking me to again, dial '8'.

This has been going on for over 10 minutes now. Has your store closed or is it no longer a requirement for anyone to answer the phone!?! I don't mean to be rude but I also work…

Good evening, at approximately 4:30pm I went into Safeway #2661 to purchase a whole rotisserie chicken. As I looked into the warmer I only observed Mango Habanero flavored ones. I asked the young man behind the deli counter and he stated it would be one hour until some regular ones would be done.

He then proceeded to offer me a cold chicken. I went to customer service since there is a sign that says there will be hot rotisserie chickens ready between 11-6pm. The manager Ms Sandy brushed my concerns off and just told me to come back tomorrow.

I felt as though she did not want to be bothered with my concerns. Groceries and gas are high enough but then I have to waste gas and my time to come to the store where they don’t have chickens ready as advertised.

Explain to me why having digital coupons is not discriminatory? You've got a sale price listed and in small print it says digital coupon only. Thus is very unfair consumer practices. A coupon is a coupon not to be for certain customers only.

You need to rethink this policy asap. You can get sued for crap like this and I'm surprised you haven't been sued yet. Of the offenses against me personally have fallen very short of what the outcome should have been you really need to rethink this policy.

Hello, After having two entire grocery delivery orders not show up (during Covid) and being unable to reach anyone to get a refund, I gave up on Safeway. Last night I decided to give it another try using drive up pickup instead of delivery.

I was able to smoothly place my order and received a text earlier today that my order was being shopped, then finished being shopped, but warned to not come until I received word that it was ready for pick up. Order #53921052 I waited till past 2:00, but never got the text to come. nothing.

So I went on "chat" on the app to get assistance. That took over a half hour.

First I was told 16 people were ahead of me. Then the "helper" Ikie said he was looking carefully at the information and later informed me the store was still waiting for the payment…

I was returning unopened can of cat food. I had 30 can at 95 cents per can. I did not have receipt since I do not keep them. I had returned many cans previously since my cat of 17 years died.

I have a kitten now and cannot use theses. I was at your Nutley store off Lee Highway and was met with two rude and obusive men who said they were Assistant Managers. Oneonta haired man and another who had a thick accent.

The long hated man was awful and td me I needed my receipt.

I live in a senior community in Green Valley, AZ. You have stopped mailing flyers and expect all seniors to go on line. I just tried it and it is unacceptable—too small, too crowded! I used to look forward to the mail delivery on a Wednesday to go through your ads and plan my purchases.

Your flyers were so much better than fry’s so much so that I rarely shop at fry’s. Please resume your mailed flyers. Judy

Went to manager at Safeway in Bowie Town center. 4101 northview dr bowie md. Reported to her that the marshmallows in regular area was full price. 00. They expired a month ago. She didn’t take it to seriously. So reported it to the Maryland Health Department. Very bad place.

I am a long time shopper at my nearby Safeway (7301 Greenback, Citrus Heights, CA). Several employees I know by name and appreciate their spirit under some severe conditions in the store that have been going on for some time.

Today I nearly froze to death because the heating (and AC) are not working. One employee told me they are wearing thermal underwear to keep from freezing. This is a long term situation. This past summer the AC gave out during hot 100 degree heat.

I appreciate you correcting this matter, so we all can shop in comfort.

Shaneah a member of staff pushed a line of trolleys into me. It was with some force. My husband asked her to be more careful. She shouted sorry. She went away and then swore under her breath passing us and was with her colleagues as we left who very insincerely wished us a nice day.

I have to say that I had the opportunity to visit one of your stores #2713 Fairwood in Bowie Maryland. I had a problem with my app loading my discounts and immediately the self check out employee named Crystal come to my rescue.

One of the nicest people I've ever come in contact with. She was so knowledgeable she showed me how to go in my phone and add it and check to see which phone number to put in the register. Please help me recognize her. She is great!!

Some weeks ago at Idaho springs Safeway I was humiliated and embarrassed by an old man named ken, who accused me of stealing and tried very hard to prove it in front of alot of my neighbors. Everything was on camera and I proved he was a liar and I asked for an apology.

He told me it would be a cold day in hell. Now he watches me and tells others to watch me cause I'm a third. I'm 60 years old with 5 heart surgeries. Must I be humiliated Everytime I go in the store?

I was shopping Friday morning, 11/18/2022 in the Safeway on Calistoga Road in Santa Rosa. I spent considerable time and energy scanning digital coupons and made some purchasing decisions based on the attractive price of the digital coupon. My account number is 7075385636.

When I was checking out, I verbally gave the cashier my phone number instead of scanning my card. When I got home, I noticed that none of my digital coupons were honored. I spent probably $20 more than I was expecting.

Was it because the loyalty card was not physically scanned? Please advise.

On November 15th, 2002 a prescription for my wife was sent to the Safeway pharmacy in Pullman, WA. Both my wife and I called numerous times to check on the status of the prescription and the phone was never answered.

We left numerous messages, and no one called back. Over all we called between the two of us 13 times. And not one time was the call answered. The app showed it was being worked on, but it never updated.

Because in two days time we couldn't reach the pharmacy We decided to go to the store. Figured that because it had been 2 days, it should be done. My wife was out of her medications and needed to get it.

Safeway used to be really good with delivery. But my last 2 orders have completely been a nightmare. I placed an order for delivery on Thursday and it was delayed when I called They were waiting for drivers so I had to cancel it.

The problem The in app information just kept saying delay but no update. I had to call to find out what was the problem and when was the last opportunity that I possibly could get a delivery that night. Today I placed another order and the delivery was between 8 and 10 AM.

I have shopped at Safeway Georgetown for over 25 years. Today was my last visit . Fortunately, there are many alternatives. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Giant, Wegmans, ETC. I quit, because your reshuffling of shelves has been a total disaster. For many weeks now, there is chaos in the aisles. The new location of items seems to me to be totally arbitrary. What makes things even worse, the guides to the isles' content are either only partially complete or totally empty. It shows a complete contempt for your customers. I do not know who is responsible for this mess, but somebody needs to be fired. Finally, the place, especially the access to the Wisconsin Ave. elevator, is filthy.

Worse service ever received! Make Flu shot appointment for my wife and I 5 days in advance at the Spar Rd location in Prescott and was called 25 minutes prior to arrival and told no more vaccines. Advised to try another store.

On October 18th at around 6 pm, my husband went into Safeway to purchase some masks. When he went to the pharmacy, not only was he told that the store on Cesar Chavez didn’t sell any masks anymore, he was told that no one in the store was required to wear them.

He told me the pharmacist himself wasn’t wearing one either! It was our understanding that pharmacy space anywhere was considered medical, and that masks were to be worn in that space! The pharmacist gave my husband 3 free masks, and sent him on his way.

If this is how Safeway is operating in a pandemic, we are taking our business elsewhere!

Safeway pharmacy is the biggest joke I’ve ever seen. They are the rudest people at the pharmacy I’ve ever seen. They never have your prescriptions on time they told me to come back in one hour and then in one hour they made up another excuse and still didn’t have it and told me to transfer it to CVS four hours later they still have not transferred it.

These ladies at the pharmacy need to be fired. They were talking amongst themselves about personal issues white people were standing in line until they got yelled at. This was the worst customer service I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

Safeway on Swan Creek Road in Fort Washington MD. This Safeway is always trashy on the outside. See attached photo. Why can’t employees be proactive and keep it clean? Not being proactive is a sign of poor store management. The store manager should have processes and procedures for employees to adhere.

Keep the trash in front of the store picked up. The only reason I was here was to get a covid vaccine because I avoid this trifling store. Attached are 2 pictures at the pharmacy where the ledge I approached to get my vaccine is filthy with spots and coffee stains.

Have someone to clean up! Just nasty.

Recently actually today I visited the store off Potrero in San Francisco where one of your employees informed me that he will. “fuck me up if I disrespect him and he was going to hit me in the store now.

Your management at this site does not particularly care about it, and the security guards here are absolutely horrible and this is gonna be the worst Safeway I’ve ever been to in my life. In fact, I don’t think I’ll ever shop at Safeway again and I’m pretty sure that everyone in my family will be doing the same following suit but not shopping here anymore because of this is how you guys do business and

Aloha, I went to the 280 store in Kahului. When this store first opened there were LOTS of carts, now there are only a few. I walked the whole parking lot searching for one in the return areas, but there were none to be found.

At the entryway to the store there were several people waiting for carts. When they saw someone leaving the store, they followed them to their car so they could get the cart. I had to do my shopping with a basket.

I asked the sales associate that was ringing me up how come there aren't any carts. She said it was because all the homeless people steal them because there are NO LOCKS on the carts. WHAT AN INCONVIENCE TO YOUR SHOPPERS!

Good morning I was at your store on River road in Keizer Oregon yesterday. I went to the customer service desk to cash in a lottery ticket. The clerk behind the counter was helping a customer and another customer was in line waiting.

I got behind the waiting customer, the customer in front of me left as the customer with the transaction was taking a bit to long. In the meantime an elderly couple walkup and scanned a $2 winning ticket,they stayed right there next to the scanner and waited.

The clerk got done with the gentleman in front of me and proceeded to help the elderly couple, I spoke up and said I was next and had been waiting in line for 15 minutes. The clerk turned to me with a disgusted look on her face and shaking her head at me and said I didn't see you.

No shopping carts at Homestead in Santa Clara or El Camino in Sunnyvale. Told to walk thru parking lot until I found one. O'm 85 and mobility challenged. This has been going on for 6 months. Always told they are on order but they never come.

In store employees seem to have plenty to use to assist them on their work. What is the problem?

Dr told me to get Lotramin drops. Local Safeway ordered for me as not a stock item and charged me $40. A few days later I was in Amazon site and found it for $11. Safeway was almost 4 times higher! Went back to the store to make sure they charged me the right price. They confirmed it.

Wondering why vendor on Amazon can sell for $11 and make a profit and you sell for $40. Talk about price gouging. Very disappointed in Safeway. Would really like my $29 dollars back.

I booked a reservation for 2:30 PM MT for a Moderna booster vaccination at your Pueblo West Colorado store #1760 for Monday October 10th. I show up for the appointment on time at the pharmacy and I am told they do not have Moderna vaccines.

I was told "Sorry, it is a problem with the Safeway system that we have no control over". They said come back on Friday and 10 AM when we get new dosses in and you will be fine. I booked another appointment on the Safeway app for today, Friday 10/14 at 10:00 AM.

I go to the pharmacy at 9:57 AM to get checked in when I am told yet again, they have no dosses of the vaccine. I asked why they didn't call me to tell me they were out. Response "Oh I meant to call you but I don't have any time and I have 15 more people coming in".

On the day of 10/13/2022 I submitted my perception I was told it would be one hour that was fine I didn't get back until four. Holland excuse me he finally came over I asked him if he had tried calling my insurance because it was a rejection to fill he stated it could take up to 48 hours to do.

I was told by the assistant that I had to select that I refuse concil in order to get my medications! I told him that wasn't true and he didn't ask me. I've used this Pharmacy for 12 years and the service on this day was unacceptable, now I'm afraid of actually being given someone else medicine by mistake.

They seem to be unprofessional. Guess I'll find another Pharmacy that cares for there customers.

I made an appointment for a bivalent vaccine online for 10/07 at 6:30. After waiting fifty minutes, your overwhelmed pharmacist told me he did not know when he could get to me and did not know why they would make an appointment when they were short staffed.

I would like to know the same thing. There were only two people working with a steady stream of customers. I wish that I had realized sooner that there was no way they could do vaccinations instead of wasting my time there.

You need to stop making appointments without having adequate staffing to take care of those appointments.

No eggs on shelf, ask member about the and was informed that they are in the back and the person who takes care of them is at lunch. I asked for the store manager and eventually Adam came to the location.

I asked him about the eggs and he said he was aware and i then received the same response. I ask how long might that be an he replied "about an hour". I said that that was not a good way to do business and he simply said that thats that way it is.

I asked for corporate number and he told me to look online. (The corporate number changed per IVR, but website not updated)

I really enjoy going shopping at Del Rey Oaks Safeway ( Store #2841. But there is one person who is very rude and works at the fish counter. His last name is "Fragoso". Many times he refused to sell the item.

Alamosa Colorado pharmacy is one of the worst pharmacies I've ever delt with. Recently the pharmacist has been rude, acts like she doesn't trust what i say. She might as well tell me im lying by the way she talks to me.

The Safeway app doesn't seem to correspond with the store. They have no idea what the app does. I live 45 minutes away and I depend on the mailing service, but they dont seem to understand it. Im tired of the unprofessional attitude toward me as a customer.

My grandson. Jakob Gary, was let go from Edmonds Wyoming Safeway this week. If an employee leaves their shift early and forgets to clock out they fill out a time edit and turn it in. My grandson did this and was called out by loss prevention and let go later that week.

They did not get his union rep nor even ask him if he wanted one. He is the only one singled out in a store of more than 150 plus and they said he cheated them out of just over 2 hours.

He filled out time edit sheets each time. He has never been written up for anything before. He is a young man who loved his job in produce, always showed up and everyone liked him, customers and staff and his supervisors.

I shop at Safeway store 2097 not only for my groceries each week, but I also pop into the store for needed items throughout the week. Today I went into the store to pick up a couple of items and while checking out at the self check station.

I requested cash back from the register. After paying for my ordered I noticed a small sign on the top left side of the register and also posted by where you get the $ out of the machine… saying no cash back.

i made cornbread today and it didn't look or taste like my regular corn bread. I ate a slice of corn bread and poured a cup to drink. I knew it didn't taste right but I am taking a new medication and thought that was the reason.

I picked up the Lucerne quart of buttermilk to check the date and it said Sept. 1920. I was shocked that was still in the the milk for Salem needless to say I am so sick right now with stomach cramps.

I can believe something like this could happen.
