i purchased a Sam’s club annual membership a year ago through a groupon promotion. I made one purchase online last year during a Black Friday sale using my credit card. I have moved and no longer live close enough to a Sam’s club so I had no intention on renewing.
Today I received notification from my credit card that I was charged $45 doing my research I found out it was for the renewal of the membership. My first call to the 800 number listed on the Sam’s website was to explain and to get a refund where the person confirmed I wasn’t even on autopay.
I was placed on hold for 15 mins and hung up.
