We used a prepaid Net Spend card to try and make a payment. Cancelled once to get routing info correct. After the payment was posted but did NOT GO THROUGH, we find out that Target does not accept prepaid debit cards.
However, this transaction was treated as a debit BANK card payment that did not go through and a fee of $27 was place on my Target Red Card. In all the many years I've dealt with Target,I've always been treated fairly.
This time I'm not understanding a fee charged because I tried to pay with a card you don't accept. The customer service reps said they'd never had a case like this and I don't think they understand this is not a bank debit card.
It is prepaid and the money is there on the card. I feel the fee is inappropriate in this case and ask as a long time Target Red…
