I took our 2017 RAV4 for its 5K oil change and was stunned when presented with a $94 bill! The Service Advisor, Amanda, said “Oil prices are up”. ” Silence. To add insult to injury, Amanda gave me the wrong key FOB which I discovered when my RAV4 wouldn’t start.

The Service Manager was not available and I called and left a message w/ him and gave my area code & cell number. That was several days ago and I have yet to get a return call. Customer Service conspicuous by its absence at Berglund Toyota in Lynchburg VA as my posts to the Next Door app and Facebook have confirmed.

I cannot even BEGIN with this Ridiculously Incompetent Company! 3 months ago I had a payoff check at Toyota to payoff my lease! They messed up paperwork for over a month, constant calls I had to make because their customer service department is INCOMPETENT AS IT COULD POSSIBLY BE!

They took a payment after my payoff was there, they were missing paperwork and Finally when that was taken care of, trying to get my money back… It has been almost 3 months with Many More calls to them, constant Mess Ups, I still don’t have my payment return!! 2 different people were supposed to overnight it and I STILL do not have it!

I have been a loyal toyota customer since I became a driver and bought multiple cars from this company and never been talked to like this before just because I had a simple question. I called yesterday 12/12/2022 to schedule a maintenance because I received a text saying I'm up for maintenance.

and a lady named Christine from Naperville, IL answered and told me that I would have to pay out of pocket because my 2 year warrenty is up and i was confused because I had the car barely a year, and she explained that it starts from the 1st owner.

Hi, I am loyal toyota customer and I've been with the company for about 7 years. I bought 3 new vehicles from Toyota in past 7 years.

However, I have had so many bad experiences from the dealership in these years. The service department, the employees are not professional at all. They don't even tell you what you need to do or give you any instruction. They are super slow, even if there's no customer and you have appointment, they take more than 30 minutes to just do the paperwork/ just to receive your car and tell you to wait in the waiting room.

While doing paperwork they keep talking with their co-workers without any reason. Like casual chit chat for 5-10 minutes while customers are standing in front of them. It seem like they don't care about customers at all. They eat, they talk,…

We purchased a used 2011 Toyota Rav4 in december of 2019, I came to find out that the paint was peeling off two months after purchasing it. I didn't know that there was a program that was issued by corporate to cover this issue with the paint peeling off.

This is my second purchase of a toyota in the last 5 years. My last purchase was a 2018 Toyota Rav 4, that I work hard to make the monthly payments and pay insurance on, and when I purchased the vehicle, I took out a platinum insurance to repair things.

The week of Thanksgiving, 2022, I took it to Toyota of Longview, and they told me they couldn't get the oil plug out and to top it off, they let me drive it home, 29 miles to my house, and it poured oil out all in my garage. Toyota told me Walmart did that, and I went over to Walmart accusing them and telling them they are going to pay for it.

So apparently you can make a vehicle that behaves like any arbitrary vehicle with a completely different drivetrain ( https://tech.slashdot.org/story/22/12/10/0454247/can-a-virtual-manual-transmission-bring-the-stick-shift-to-electric-cars ) but you still won't fix the design error in my Prius Prime that leads to uncommanded acceleration. Hi. I took my 2013 Toyota RAV4 to get a diagnostic test done they told me everything was fine tranny fluid was a lil dirty. They recommended I do a tranny flush ( 2 of them) I took the car in because it had a slight shudder between first an second but was still able to drive it well needless to say pick the car up they said it was fine they drove it it's shifting great.

I took it to pick up my granddaughter and it broke down an I had to see on the side of the road at 830 at night with her. Next day had it towed back to the dealership an they told me I need a new Transmission.

I financed my Toyota Corolla Hybrid 2022 on 12/10/2021 and in February when I brought my car in for maintenance and picked it up about 8 min in freeway my back tire pops. I bring it back in and toyota applies the $200 credit towards it.

My car has about 23,000 miles and was serviced not that long ago and tie pressure and everything was checked car still was fine.

However today 12/07/2022 both the tires on the left side pop for no reason was driving under 30 miles per hour and on the streets. How is this possible the car is not even 1 year old yet and last maintenance inspection stated my tires and car are fine.

My car was dropped off at the collision center after a minor accident. We got the car back and brought it home and immediately found a problem. The sonar sensor was stopping the car when backing out of drive way.

We took the car back to Toyota collision center and told them about the problem. Miriam is the person we were dealing with and she had to look at the car again and they said everything was ok. We took the car home again and the same problem.

Now they my car again and forced my husband to get another rental vehicle and we are paying for this rental car after they did not line the sensor up right and that's why we keep having the issue. My # is 407 953 6119

After only six months, the battery in my van (2022 Toyota, sienna platinum edition) died. I had AAA replace the battery. Everything seem to be OK except that the rear camera detection error kept flashing on the dash. I took it into the dealer to have it reset.

They first charged me over $140 to look at it. Essentially I had already told him what the problem was. They then charged me over $330 to reset the computer. This seems outrageous to me that it would cost me over $500 after I replaced battery.

Is this what it cost to replace a battery in a Toyota sienna? It seems outrageous to me.

I called 11/29 to schedule my Toyota Tacoma for the recall for the underside corrosion. The lady that did the scheduling was very nice and was aware that I was trying to get this work vehicle in for the recall and could not get me in to do the inspection until today 12/02 at 10 am.

I show up for my appointment that was listed for the recall inspection and greeted very kindly and shown the waiting area as they said it would be 1 1/2. Forty minutes into the wait the service manager calls me up and says that I do no qualify for the recall inspection as it ended the 30th.

I scheduled to speak with representatives there on 11/23/2022, regarding my Prius offered, and wanted to trade it with Corolla Hybrid. Purchased a new 2020 Toyota 4Runner with 36,000 mile warranty with no worries about break downs or repairs. Took it in for a noise that was there since I purchased it on the a/c fan motor. Now it’s gotten worse so I made an appointment to get it fixed and was told I need a diagnostic done to figure out what’s wrong at a cost of $185.

I told them I checked for trash, replaced the filter and determined it’s the fan motor (a common problem with these). 30,000 miles on my 4Runner. The motor is $100 labor $100 for 30 minutes worth of work. So where’s the warranty. Last toyota I’ll purchase.

Warranty mean’s warranty not add on’s and convenient changes to their benefit.

During the period 10/22-10/29 my wife and I went to various dealerships with intentions of purchasing a car. We were shopping around for the best rates and what would be affordable to us. The specific car we were interested in purchasing none of the dealerships we went to had it in stock.

Brought my Tacoma into Auto Nation in Ft Myers, Fl when two engine warning lights came on. 00 to correct the problem. Less than a week latter the lights come back on. I find out they did differential service and nothing about the bad sensors. 00.

My family have being buying Toyotas for decades for many reasons; their longevity, quality, comfort, reliability and resale value. We've had a Prius, Avalon and Camrys, all of which we drove several hundred thousand miles. We do all the recommended mileage services. We currently have a Rav 4, Camry and a Corolla. I plan to keep driving my 2012 Camry for many more years, except the radio is driving me crazy. It beeps rapidly, changing pages and channels, sometimes settling down. This seems to occur more often on bumpy roads.

I bought a car from this location on 10/10/2022. My sales associate name was Kesha Sears. I gave her a downpayment deposit for the car to purchase it. Kesha called me two days later to tell me that the car was hit in the parking lot.

I took my car in to get a tire repaired, about 40 minutes later they gave me mu keys and said I was good to go that it had been repaired. Left and continued about my day to run my errands.

As I stop at the store I open a compartment that is next to the steering wheel to get a $100 bill I had placed there and it was no longer there. I went back yo the dealership, but service department was closed.

Left my phone number with someone after explaining what happened and said they will get back with me. I just don't understand why they need to do things like this it's my car my personal space and why they have to open compartments that had nothing to do with the repair that needed to be done and take things that we work hard for.

It looks like Toyota is in the process of joining the Big 3 in building cars for the sole purpose of selling them and designing them to not being able to berepaired. What should have been a relatively easy alternator change has become a huge problem.

Jack and lift the engine to change the water pump and access the back side of the v-6? This is why I dont buy american cars anymore . The thoughtless designs that are an insult to customers outweighs any goodwill or appreciation for all the previous accomplishments.

I called around to have this work done and many local mechanic's refused the work stating that they are to big of a hassle. I will be replacing several vehicles before the end of this year and I must hesitate to consider Toyota as their replacement.

Our 2018 Toyota Tacoma is our first Toyota, and it might be our last. It has approximately 70,000 miles on it. The paint started bubbling up and peeling around the windows on 2 of the doors. Toyota has a recall for different vehicles with Super White paint, but not the Tacoma.

On my first visit to the local Toyota dealer in mid August 2022, I was directed to their preferred auto paint business to get a report. Supposedly that report was sent to the Toyota dealer. " On my third visit to the Toyota dealer, today, November 3, 2022, a manager looked at the peeling paint.

It takes about 8 days for a tire change in this facility. I have been a customer of Toyota for 8 years and never seen this bad customer service. They ask me to come over and make me wait in the facility after having my car with them for 8 days.

I even gave them a heads-up that I need to leave town for an urgent meeting. The supervisor(James) could do a better job in handling situations like this!

In 2020 I bought a new Toyota Tacoma, a few months later I noticed some paint defects. I brought it back to the dealer and they agreed to have a local body shop repair the defects. Two years later I noticed bad orange peel and peeling in one of the repainted areas.

Now Toyota refuses to fix the damaged paint. I contacted Toyota corporate who repeatedly said they were escalating the case and someone would call me. This went on for about a month and I never got a call back, I always had to call to check the status of my case.

Finally a someone got on and just said sorry it's out of warranty so its your responsibility. I buy a $60k truck with paint defects, Toyota authorizes the repair, the repair fails and its my responsibility. Nicely done Toyota! This is my last Toyota.....

I went to Toyota of Manhattan on 04-23-2022 to buy a pre-own Rav4 & attented by salesman Jeudi Marte. I had an approved loan from chase bank at 4% interest rate. He ( juedi marte) recommended me to buy a new car & Toyota financing service can also provide me loan at 3% interest rate with no extra cost.

I agreed with him & after that he checked my credit score. Toyota corporate, I purchased my Toyota sequoia platinum vin 5TDDW5G10HS15343 on 7/31/2017. I brought it by Toyota of Orlando service center on 10/12/22 “Two months and twelve day’s past” the 5 year or 60 thousand mile warranty but only has 46,383 miles on the vehicle.

The reason I brought it to the Toyota dealership I originally purchased the vehicle from was due to a strange sound coming from the right rear. The Toyota of Orlando technician concluded the wheel bearing was bad and needed to be replaced.

I’m almost 65 years old and owned numerous vehicles including multiple Toyota’s and never had a wheel bearing go bad! One of my other four vehicles is a Toyota Camry with 170,000+ miles and has never had a wheel bearing or any other issue!

My husband and I own, and have owned, Toyota Highlanders for years. We were loyal and happy customers. However, recently we have had second thoughts about another purchase due to a serious problem in our liftgate. The cause was the Liftgate Struts were broken. We were shocked to learn to replace them would cost $1,100. And what was more shocking ... we did not have the choice to use the backdoor manually! We feel it is unconscionable for Toyota to make these expensive parts that if they break removes the choice of a manuable operation as well. Our local Toyota dealership gave us a small discount, but we would like for Toyota to consider a discount as well. On 7/4/22, I took my 2006 Highlander to Simi Valley dealership for a routine oil change. Throttle body clean was recommended at the time and I authorized that additional maintenance service. MPI service was also done on the vehicle. I didn't do a post maintenance inspection at the time. Today (10/13/22), when I looked at the car under the hood for the first time, I was stunned and upset to find that the air box for the engine air filter was not secured at all. It was unlocked and the two metal clips for the air box were not locked in place. Approximately 2500 miles were driven since the oil change on 7/4/22, and I don't know how much unnecessary engine wear was cause by the air intake bypassing the air filter.

I've took in very very well care of my car my car and there's no reason why my dashboard would have split.

Nobody wants to help me fix this all they can tell me is it's the customers Obligation to pay it. I am not paying for a defect on my dashboard bored obviously it split my car is only a year old..

The dealership did not have the Camry we wanted in white. The scam was that a white car with the features we wanted is in route and would be delivered within 72 hours. 52). It arrived a few days later but several features were missing (such as keyless entry and push button start).

I did not want this car. I was told that they would replace the car with what i wanted and expected at no additional charge except for a possible additional tax charge. 51 for the additional price of this car.

I reminded them that it was supposed to be at no additional charge. They told me that the extended warranty amount that I had paid would cover the amount if I did not carry it on this car. Odd how it was the exact amount. 48 additional. 51.

All employees involved in trade with Toyota cross purchased miss used my SSN and trust. They are robbers and they used my social for a very high interest. I was supposed to sign for co-signed but now it shows I am the buyer. The interest rate show they robbed me. Shame on Toyota to have thieves working for.

I have never been so upset about servicing my Toyota in my life. Last week I sat at the dealership until late after an appointment for rotating the tires on my 2021 Toyota Highlander. This week I took my husband’s 2022 Toyota Tundra for a scheduled service.

I arrived at 2:45 pm for 30,000 mile service. I left at 5:20 pm. I got an oil change, rotating tires, air and cabin filter change. With an added alignment and wiper blade replacement. I am sick of sitting and waiting for scheduled service which should take an hour at most.

I am going to try another dealership. Spartanburg is the worst. When Dave Edwards ran it oil changes were only 30 minutes. I am a Toyota girl, but next time will not prepay for subpr service,

First of all, there is no reason why I should be getting a loud high pitch ear splitting alarm just to tell me it's cold outside. They told me that they cannot do anything about it.

Also, this multimedia is a joke. I used to be able to listen to music in my car but now I cannot.

Furthermore, I was told that the stupid cold air alarm is permanent. If I had known this I would have never purchased this car. I never received any help for the multimedia. I don't know how to program this.

Also, a portable CD only worked one time. I am really ticked off with Toyota.

I brought my Toyota Tacoma in for an oil change, on the morning I was to be driving back to the east coast. I was told that in order to do the job, they'd have to remove the skid plate to access the oil filter, and the since the bolts holding it in place were rusted they'd have to drill them out.

I reluctantly agreed, then thought better of it. I told the mechanics to leave the plate in place, but was told that it had already been removed, and was in the bed of my truck, that in all likelihood the missing plate wouldn't impact my 3000 mile drive, and

that I could have the plate reattached when I got home, which I intend to do. My vehicle is a 2015 Tacoma, 4 cylinder, and, I reiterate, I have never needed this plate removed in order to execute an oil change.
