What is up with Tracfone? Do you hire total incompetents or do you just enjoy upsetting customers.? You've sent me texts for over a year telling me to contact you for a free phone bc 3G would be phased out.

I tried to do that starting in mid-Sept. Told I would receive phone in 3-5 days--never received. Tried again 10/6--told same thing--never rec'd. Tried again 10/17--told same thing--never rec'd. The 4th time,10/27, didn't even ask for phone again, was just going to complain & go out and buy a phone--but rep said he could straighten out.

Said he did so and I would get phone in 3-5 days and that I could call 10/31 to get a tracking #. Called 10/31--told I couldn't get tracking #--that whole process had to be done over. After being on hold for awhile, was told everything straightened out…

I'll pay $20 a month with a 1 GB and for the last month I have purchase $30 worth of gigabytes because what I've used the Wi-Fi at home track phone is taking my gigabytes instead of letting my Wi-Fi at home pick up I'll talk to several people about the matter but they keep on telling me to turn off my data now if I turn off my Wi-Fi I'm not able to pick up Wi-Fi from my cable I think they are scamming me out of my money they keep on telling me to turn off my data the only way I can do that is to turn off my Wi-Fi and

once again if I turn off my Wi-Fi I won't be able to pick up my Wi-Fi from my cable I need to get reimbursed or some customer service

I wish I could leave no stars! I have never dealt with such a poor ran company before dealing with Tracfone. In September I purchased 2 of the Blu View phones, we received them, however one was defective. I called customer service and they first emailed me a return label, well one never was sent then I called back again and the lady sent me an air bill.

I sent the defective phone back as soon as I received the air bill and I was told as soon as Tracfone received the phone they would mail us a new replacement phone. This never happened. Somehow the line for the defective phone was deleted off of my account but they still charged me for that line and I was also charged for a phone we never received.

I called around 15 times and have been told that they would refund me, which never happened…

Today I had the worst experience with TracFone . I regarding an on going problem with my phone. I talked 3 different people, kept giving me the run around. Each one said that they needed to test my phone to determine the problem and to resolve my issue. To no avail.

When I finally ask the last person, whose name was Edward, if could speak with his supervisor I was told no. He was the supervisor and if wanted to talk to someone else call back.

I’m the guardian and brother to Willie Dean Brewer cell number involved is (325) 232-0136. She’s currently a lifeline individual. Her phone stopped receiving or making calls last week. After 4 hours on the phone I was told it was discontinued because she was deceased.

I called social security, medicare, Medicaid, superior ( contractor for Medicare), lifeline, and every person looked up the account and informed me she was listed alive and well. After 3&1/2 hours talking to lifeline all with the same problem, the customer service person stated at this level I cannot help you I will transfer you to the dept that can.

Why, all of a sudden, when I call 611 to check my balance, all I get is message saying we are processing your request, and we will send information that never comes through. Your little flip phone will NOT allow me to set up alpha and numeric, the phone won't even allow me to text.

I am a senior citizen on an extremely low income and because of this, I'd like to remain a customer. If you refuse to help, I will send my money to consumer cellular and spread the word that your company doesn't care about seniors!

I bought a new phone from QVC, now you refuse to activate it, I bought it for more storage, you are denying the MEID, IMEI, SIM CARD NUMBER, why are you doing this? I am still paying on this phone through QVC, the phone was sent brand new, it's a Motorola G Stylus, I didn't have this problem with the old Motorola G, all I want is to activate this new phone with a new number, or do I need to contact QVC who have a contract to sell your mobile phones, I just don't want to do that, can you help me switch over to this new phone.

I have been a customer for 9 years. I purchased a new phone in July and several weeks later my service was cut off because my new phone was not compatible with the new cellular system. I was asked to return my new phone for a replacement and you received it on Sept 23, 2022.

I was told a new phone would be shipped in 3-5 business days. I still have not received a phone. I have called customer service about this so many times I have lost count. Today I was told there won't be a replacement phone for two more months.

When I asked for a refund or credit so I can buy another phone, I was told that was not possible. I would like to resolve this problem and need help in doing so. Customer service is not able to help. Thank you. 7776

Talked with 5 different agents to get a phone activated. It still doesn't receive calls and no calls can be made. They keep saying its activated but something is not set up correct. All the agent does is go through the same steps.

I returned a phone, ticket # 101 147 773. It was purchased over the phone and I was promised email confirming order. Never received anything. I was told something different from every one I talked too. I returned the phone.

It was delivered Oct 19. This is Oct 27. I was told the money would be back on my card 2 days ago. The woman this am says within 30 days.

Somehow TracFone changed my caller ID information so it no longer shows my married name but my maiden name, which I haven't used since 1997. No help from technical support or they are pretending to fix it and it's not fixed.

In 24 hours have spoken to them almost ten times. The last person I spoke to indicates the only way to fix it is to remove my name from caller ID that they're not able to update my name. It was fine before they recently changed it so somebody updated it to the wrong name and telling me to delete my name just is not an option.

Worst technical support I have ever encountered. If the person on the other end which is in another country cannot fix it, then they need to forward my issue to someone higher up but they don't.

I have been a tracfone customer for years using a ftelip phone and buying cards to load minutes and service days. Tracfone is not supporting my phone so I have had to upgrade and I paid additional $$ to get a Moto g power smart phone (better model than the free one offered).

The phone has been set up and WiFi and Google work.

However I can not send or receive text or phone calls. "cellular network not available for calls" shows up when I try to make a call and the text messages just don't send or receive. I have called customer support twice today to get this fixed.

They tell me they must authenticate my account before they can help me. One way is to send me a text message the phone that I can't receive text on OR by a credit or debit card # I have used with them in the last 90 days.

We bought a tracfone a couple years ago to have as backup. We had auto pay for 20 of those months. Never used the phone and had over 9000 minutes on. I stopped the auto pay. So the phone was turned off a month after last auto pay.

Three months later I cough a 90 day card and reactivated the phone. The 9700 minutes were still there. 90 days later it was deactivated. Which would have been May of this year which still had 9700 minutes on it.

Yesterday I called to check and see if the minutes were still on it that I was going to activate it again. She said she couldn’t see if we had the minutes that I would have to activate it to see if the minutes were there. Well guess what? No they weren’t.

Buying a Tracfone caused me to waste half a day of stress waiting on return calls and being put on hold by the company ??? I bought the Tracfone before noon and it was almost 4 pm when I returned it to Walmart (who graciously accepted it back!!

All I wanted was a simple flip phone as a secondary phone for my husband (which he has already had for several yrs)but now was needed to upgrade... I guess what irritated me so bad was the tech. Sorry I won't be doing Tracfone again anytime soon..

Mother in Law got a brand new phone 5 months ago. It doesn't make calls outside of the house when she goes to medical appointments nor can she navigate home.....yes she has data. Over 10 calls later...they are telling her to do all of these resets when she's in the problem area (aka can't make calls or have access to data). Does that make ANY sense? She can't call for help from family, etc.

I've been hung up on 3 times in a row when being transferred up the chain of command after going through all the of the problem solving tricks. Last one (#4) told me she needed a new phone. Offered to let me buy a sim card. How nice. She pays a monthly fee for a phone plan....that she hasn't been able to use for a couple of months now. Disgusted on so many levels.

Tracfone operates the Safelink brand. I do not have a VoLTE capable phone, and due to network upgrades I must have one soon. I contacted Tracfone regarding an email I received offering a free upgrade on July 12. I found the representative unable to answer the questions regarding the handset, and I asked for a supervisor. The supervisor didn't perform any better. I get the feeling neither of them understood what I was asking. I wanted to understand better the network changes, and how a CDMA phone operates on them (the handset I was asking about was advertised as a CDMA phone).

I bought a smart Tracfone and in three months it would not charge. I call tracfone and returned the smart phone, they sent an old flip phone my handicap wife cannot use. I returned the flip phone and tracfone sent another flip phone.

Recieved new SIM card. INSTALLED phone deactivated. Called for assistance with tracphone. my sons phone. Was told the phone would be all set after turning on and off, and it may take 24 hours? The next day phone was still not working.

Needleas to say I was already enrolled in auto refill. After 2 days of calls and hours on the phone due to being double billed for auto refll when they turned phone back on. I was yelled at and hung up on and told by customer service she didnt care and hung up on me.

I have been a TracFone customer for at least 15 years. No major problems until about three months ago when I started having trouble accessing my account. Each time I received a message that my account was inactive and I needed to buy a refill in order to reactivate it.

I was not allowed to check my balance or to refill my minutes either by apps or on 611611. ) supposedly, until the next month. Either there is a severe glitch in your accounts program, a matter of non-agreement or contact between the Customer Service individual and the accounts department, or incompetence.

Because i rarely use my phone and cannot give 2 phone numbers i have called recently they tell me I am not eligable for a free phone. Now, I still have 385 minutes left that i paid for and can no longer use my phone, i can not even get a refund for those minutes i paid for? I am 77 years old and do not need this kind of hassle. Tracphone needs to be shut down!!! They hang up on your repeatedly with a smile! My partner and I spent all day trying to transfer a number out to Tello, because Tracphone was ripping us off with data. Everytime they send us to " transfer to the port department" it hangs up!!!

Michael and René were 2 of the reps and 2 other that I could not get the names but they hang up on us 5 times! So you have to call again and start all over! Even Tello could not get my number back because they say Tracphon refused.

These people will hold your number hostage because no one wants to keep their shitty service. Don't get them even if your desperate unless you like rude people hanging up on your and like changing your number call the times.

My dad has a phone that he just purchased a years worth of minutes. When he went to use it wasn't working. My brother called and they told him that he was eligible for a free phone. But the lady told My brother that she was experiencing difficulty with her computer.

Since then I have called about 5 -6 times. I do not appreciate the help that I was given. They said to keep calling back, needed more info and the phones are out of stock. Today the lady I spoke with said there is no more free phones.

I have wasted much time in dealing with this situation. I completely was aggravated with the service I received. A phone call should have only taken one time and it should have been resolved. My dad has no phone now and he has wasted money to purchase a card for a year and he can't even use it.…

Recently I purchased a new iPhone 13 pro max and just switch my old SIM card, I was having slowness issues, contacted Tracfone and was told I needed a new SIM card for “better” service, well I have been without service now for almost 30 hours and no one seems to be able to help me, they just keep transferring me and them I get disconnected.

That went on for about six hours!!! I’m still without service. Please HELP!!!!

Okay so I set up an account with Tracfone for my mother, moving her number from Consumer Cellular, that eventually worked out just fine. This was after the Tracfone tech transferred me to CC to get them to finish the release, now here is where it get weird, both phones cut out for an hour, and

my moms phone boots up with her number transferred to the new phone, good, but unknown to me my phone now has a totally new number. So today after having to try, and explain this to three people, and attempt to get my original number back, the woman gets mad at me, and cuts my service off totally.

I still have five months loaded on this phone. Unfricking believable, but the last one was a female, so I expect nothing, but some vindictive garbage like this.

We purchased a phone through the Tracfone website. We asked the chat person if the phone would work in Puerto Rico, since we had an upcoming trip there and that was the reason for purchasing the phone. She said yes and we proceeded with the purchase.

Forward two months to the time of the trip and my dad (who is almost 80) travels to Puerto Rico: no service. I contacted Tracfone and they said they needed to change the zip code to his location in Puerto Rico and everything would work.

A few minutes later they said that they do not offer service in Puerto Rico, so he would have to buy a different phone. Told me a manager would call me in 15 minutes. No call received. I called the following day and after asking me the same questions all over again (because they apparently do not type anything)…

My phone broke. They had me send my phone back in to get a replacement phone. It has been 28 days and they still have not sent a new one. Every time I call (I have called 8-10 times these 28 days) they have me on hold for up to an hour and tell me they are "updating the request" and

then after a long hold they will end the call by saying "call back w/in 24-48 hours to get a tracking number". I have done this, but the cycle just repeats itself when I call back.

Also, "calling back" is a nightmare. I have to talk to "corporate", but getting connected to corporate is a long process. When they transfer me over (I have asked for a direct phone number, but have been told they don't have one), often the call gets disconnected.

My Tracfone will not connect to a cell service starting 05/26/22. I have been on 10 different calls with their support at 800-867-7183. So far they have not been able to determine the problem. I have removed and reinserted the SIM card about 10 times per their request. I have powered off and on the phone about 40 times per their request. Before starting the process, I had 5165 talk minutes, 6165 texts and 6.11 GB of data. On 05/27/22, Tracfone support in its infinite incompetence deleted all of my numbers to 0 minutes, 0 texts, 0 data.

On 06/01/22, they did manage to put back 5117 minutes, 5117 texts and 6.05 GB of data. So they owe me 48 minutes, 1048 texts and .06 GB of data. I am not sure how they could not add back the right amounts per or discussion. Again, infinite incompetence!

I purchased a phone from tracfone and have been trying to get a number ported for over 2 weeks each time i call tracfone i am put on hold for ever and then no body come back. They keep saying stay on the line and that the number is being ported then silence nothing.

We had to purchase a new phone when the 3g service ended. We purchased a new one and had the number transferred to it by trac phone since that is where we purchased it. We were told that all the minutes would be carried over to that phone by their customer service rep.

We do not text and do not hook up to wifi. Its strictly an emergency phone for my wife to carry when she is out. She did not like the phone so we purchased another phone and it showed we had only 45 minutes left of service, and that is just paying for a plan for 1 year.

We may have used 3o minutes at most. We should have had over 3000 due to having 2000 before we purchased a new plan. The time was running out of the previous plan. We could not check the time left on the 2nd phone, however on the 3rd phone it showed 45…

Called customer service number to get instruction for a A509DL that I purchased 2 months ago at walmart to have access to wifi only sevice and a text now number that does not require a phone plan or have the ability for verification codes. I have a tracfone (SN 270113183813205292) I bought 7 years ago. My service expired in 12/21 so I wanted to restart it. I bought a card (711991615093981) and called to reactivate my phone. I talked and chatted with your Tech a number of times.

They insisted I needed a SIM number which my phone does not have. They never said my phone was obsolete but I decided to buy a new phone. Again talking and chatting with several of your Techs no luck in getting the phone to work.

They would go as far as they could and then say they would call me back. ). One time they even gave me a ticket number (1253817919). This went on for four days. So now I've had it. I'm returning the phone I bought.

It looks like my loss is the card I bought for ~$21 and my time.

Put in new sim card at the demand of trac phone which said if I didn't install new card I would loose all service at any time, including 911 service.
