I have been a customer with Vodacom for 27 years .

The service from Vodacom Repairs are very poor at your Alberton Branch. Last week Friday I went in to the repairs shop at Alberton and spoke to Duran who assisted me. All I required from him was to quote me on a battrey replacement for a Samsung Galaxy note 8. Mr Duran explained to me that we need to bring in the phone so that he could inspect it and create a bookin in order to get a quote.Me and my wife went back on Sunday morning to the Vodacom repair shop Alberton. Duran was off for the day. Another gentleman assisted us. End 2019 my company offered that I move my cellphone account to their MTN Business account as I would save money and receive more airtime/data than on my existing Vodacom account. My account was migrated to MTN and my number (082 859 2371) ported to MTN.

I received my first MTN invoice on 5/12/2019, this was after my last Vodacom contract that I signed in 2017 ran out. I live on the Garden Route (Sedgefield), it soon became clear to me that the MTN reception in our area is very poor.

I had no other alternative than to wait out the two year period for which I signed the new MTN contract, which I did. Shortly before my MTN contract would expire I went to the iStore to order a phone and enquire about available contract options.

At leaset 30 call center consultants a few team leaders , technical experts from Vodacom and Vumatel . I am stuck with ver poor coverage , I have been spending hundred of rand on loading data . Not able to watch shomax and deprived of business opportunities .

I phoned , I begged I did everything possible to try and rectify the problem . If it is not sorted out I have no choice but to move to another service provider.

Yesterday (17 Aug) at 15:04, I received a SMS that Vodafone had received a request to process a SIM swap and that if I suspected it to be fraudulent, I should contact Vodacom Customer Care on 082 135. I tried this and was given a list of options to choose from (none of which matched my need). Nevertheless I spoke to your Bot. I also replied to the SMS and informed you that I had not requested a SIM swap (I was unable to speak to a person). I received a SMS response to my query (REF: OJN2B532YGDBPNM9 ‘We will respond in one hour’ - that never happened). I also sent an email (at 16:50) to customercare@vodakom.co.za stating that I had not requested the SIM swap.

Every time we leave South Africa, Vodacom starts deduct ing Travel Saver from our airtime without instructions to do so. Their response is that we requested that service. We have asked for proof and of course they can’t submit supply proof as we never requested it.

Despite repeated requests for a refund, the responses are pathetic, eg we cannot make contact with you! Of course they can’t as we are not on Travel Saver nor roaming - and they have withdrawn all our airtime. Vodacom want mobile account details, current account details, etc.

They just don’t understand that this is a Pay as u go account.

I made payment to Vodacom and send them the proof of payment, after which they pointed out that instead of an l Infront of the reference number I used an 1. They cannot find the payments and said that I should contact my bank and have the payments reversed.

The thing is that the payments was made into the correct account - Vodacom account only the reference number was incorrect, so this payments must be in one of there suspense accounts... god forbit they do there job and allocate the payments.....

Hi

I lost my phone Sunday and called to have sim card and phone blocked. This is my old contract phone i bought from Vodacom. For some odd reason my request was sent for verification and this is not the first time i am doing a sim swap. I am still awaiting for feedback after being promised i had to call the call centre again. I use this phone for work and i cannot afford to lose this number but if Vodacom is willing now to lose me as client so be it. I will cancel all my contracts with you guys. I have never missed a payment but the service i am getting is like i am trying to do fraud on my own account. I even went to the vodacom shop to be verified but they also could not assist.

On your site it states that you get 1 month for free when you register but Kaylen the team leader says it not true. I want to sign up but not happy with the fact that it's not free. they saying there is no free promotion on metro Fiber. On the site it does not show which ones are free and which ones are not.

Your team leaders are calling with undocumented excuses saying our site does not qualify for the free promotion. that it not listed on the application when I sent to be contacted. can i please get my free month and proceed with the application.

Is it safe to say that your marketing process is misleading and only certain people can qualify for your deals? I'm hoping for a speedy response and a way forward as your call center is not giving any assistance.

We received a new phone on Friday from Vodacom with new SIM card but retaining our original no. The service is still not registered on the network after48 hours plus. Tried contacting vodacom on the app. Cant make or receive calls or SMS's.

On the app vodacom sends OTP to phone that cannot rx SMS's To get hld of an agent to call back is impossible. As explained previously the phone can not phone. Vodacom actually wanted to blacklist the new phone. What a joke.

The attorneys acting on behalf of vodacom contacted me in May to make me aware that my account is in areas and offered a settlement discount on the account which I paid within days. I called them several times to check if the account had been closed but yesterday when I called in request of the settlement letter they told me that my account is in areas.

Called Vodacom this morning and spoke to Ziyanda who is also not allowed to provide her surname due to Vodacom 'rules'. The only simple request was to provide a letter indicating that the account is up to date. After 40 min it was confirmed that this could not be provided and that a service request needs to be logged and this could take up to 5 days.

Her manager, Skosana also confirmed this. Not sure why it is such an issue to provide a letter. 20 letters can be done in 20 min. The consultant was clearly not trained as well, blaming network issues. Not sure how Vodacom continues as a business with the horrific service, however they know people need them with the current digital era.

I received a cell phone that I had ordered but the contract was not what I wanted and I canceled it within three days. I however just received a statement from Vodacom even though I was informed that I wouldn't be charged for it.

They had promised to collect the device but are yet to do so. Instead I'm receiving a statement reflecting charges for the device.

I have been struggling now for 3 months to cancel my contracts. Now Vodacom is again charging me for my contracts. The managers the Agents are all useless they never call me back even if they say they will they never do. They have NO consequences for poor performance and each and every Agent tells you what they think you want to hear. Now again the number that I did NOT cancel is now not working????

i have never received such bad customer service in my lifetime.

applied on vodacom online and was approved, then had to send through documents multiple times last week. no i have been waiting for them to come back to me in regards to my application and every time i phone in they state they will phone me back.

i have now phoned in multiple times and no one can give me answers just keep telling me the person busy with the application will phone me back and that is where it stays. No phone call and no explanation about what is going on this is getting ridiculous.

Today i also requested to speak to a manager and see could not give me answers and stated they will phone me back in 5 minutes and i am still waiting for that call.

I have sent two mails complaining about the fact that I was called under the assumption that Vodacom will only migrate my account to fit into the new packages and not to upgrade my number, for I explained more than once that my son passed away, it was his number, so I just wanted to see the contract out for I had no further use for the number. Vodacom previously phones me with the same request and my number was not upgraded The lady was clearly not interested in my "story" and proceeded to upgrade the number. I cancelled a contract that was no longer in use and had no payments left on it, in May. The contract was never cancelled. I called again in June and asked again for cancelation. And its still not cancelled a month later and vodacom keep bikling me for that contract.

I was contacted by the upgrades department. They wanted me to upgrade. I asked that I first wanted to cancel 2 other contracts. They told me both of them are eligible for cancelation and I can cancel them. She gave me a number to call to the cancelation.

Based on the assumption that I could cancel, i took an upgrade. When I phoned the cancellation department, they said I cannot cancel those two contracts. Thus I was given false information to do an upgrade. This is unacceptable. She told me It can be canceled to, just to get the sale..

I went to purchase an I-pad at the Istore today with a vodacom contract, only to be told that Vodacom has rejected my credit application. I have been with Vodacom since inception of Vodacom, my account is paid every month by debit order and my account is up to date.

The price of the new I-pad was R16500-00 and my monthly new contact was going to be R709-00 for 36 months. Vodacom comes back to the I-store saying I need to pay R19000-00 upfront and I still have to pay the R709-00 monthly for 36 months.

Vodacom and Showmax scam ! I added showmax to my dstv over a year ago, but then cancelled DSTV and showmax, however, vodacom is still deducting showmax from my account. I have called the vodacom call centre and visited the vodacom branch in Vredenburg, however, they keep referring me to Multichoice to cancel payment.

Multichoice confirmed that my showmax account has been cancelled over a year ago, but vodacom must cancel the payment deductions. According to the very fine print on Showmax website, the collector of the premiums must cancel the payment from their side.

I have a prepaid line. I can only buy Voice for Vodacom to Vodacom lines. Why is that?

I tried to use Tobi, but Lindi Sthembile Ndlovu could not assist and refer me to the CalllCentre. When you dial the nr and choose the correct options, then they refer you back to TOBi. When you hold on for an Agent, the system ask for Voice authentication over over again.

I just need assistance, but it is such a issue just getting service.

Fiber line went down on the 7th of July , created a ticket and didn't hear anything till the following week when i phoned customer support as usual they escalate , update and whatever they do , but on my side nothing has changed. Phoned again sent emails and nothing, on the 13th i decided to tweet my complains to @Vodacom and got a reply from someone that said they wanted to assist.

that is something that should never be the norm. thats what happens when you have a monopoly in an area. Must just shut up and wait and pay your monthly installments. great customer service Vodacom.

I’m really disappointed by the service I received from Vodacom

About two months ago a consultant contacted me indicating that I qualify for an upgrade 079 155 2943 number which I agree, after about a month I notice that my instalment have increased. When I query it the consultant told me that Vodacom open a new contract (064 908 5985) which is didn’t agreed upon.

My first call that I logged with Vodacom was on the 8th of June and I was told they will cancel the contract (064 9085985) and collect the cell phone (5 working days) and reimbursed my money, no feedback. I then logged another call on the 22 June 2022 and they told me the same thing and again no feedback.

I logged another call today withThokozini Shezi which also advice that my query will be resolve within 48hrs.

i bought an oppo A16 dual sim from sportscene centurion mall and it started giving me problems then I send it in for a repair with vodacom centurion mall which technicians were not able to fix it so the store then replaced the phone then the problem is they gave me a single sim A16 oppo and no one bothered to tell me its a single sim. There was fraud committed by the manager of the vodacom4u Southgate mall by the name of Callie Jacobs in March 2022. Two cellphones were taken on my name with the following numbers 0662137699 0826007405 I just saw 2 debit orders going through my account with reference vodacom.

I immediately called vodacom to find out and I was informed that I took two phones. I was advised to contact fraud department to report the case. I sent an email to report the fraud and I was advised that the matter is being investigated.

I got a call to do an upgrade on my mobile rooter nr 0662525903 the last week of June. From 30th June my signal was unavailable and showing reg. Even after putting the sim in a phone; it still sows network unavailable in the phone as well.

After n lot of phone calls an messages I still cannot use my mobile rooter!!!! The upgrade has been cancelled on the 4th of July. I am still unable to use my mobile rooter. This is totally unacceptable as I need to pay for this sevice but are unable to use it.
