On Sunday, July 3, 2023, I booked a home in Arizona #1383135 for the month of February, 2023. I received a confirmation for this listing. A few minutes later, I received a message from the owner that the daily price would be double.

I did receive my deposit back and was able to cancel this reservation, but I believe it is important that you recognize the fact that there are renters not living up to their listing cost.

I’ve been in contact with Vrbo for the last 3 days to solve this minor issue but unfortunately didn’t find any help. I have made a reservation through VRBO website (Reservation ID HA-QFFH3K ). The dates of reservation from 12-15 July were available in the website so, I made the reservation and I have paid the full amount of money.

The money was transacted from my Credit via Vrbo ( I have transaction No). Later on the same day I have received an email from the owner that the dates of reservation are not available. I don’t know this is the mistake of Vrbo or the owner not to update the calendar but for sure this is not my mistake.

For the last 3 days I’m trying to get my money back without any success. I called the owner and she is ready to help , she said that she didn’t receive the money…

VRBO blocked our honest review of a rental property, then ghosted us so that there was no way to either dispute the blocking or contact VRBO. If our experience is an indication of standard VRBO practice, then consumers cannot trust the ratings given to VRBO rental properties.

In March of this year (2022) we rented an upscale home in Santa Barbara, CA with another couple. We had a nice stay and a nice trip. The rental was as advertised for the most part, with only very minor inconveniences that we certainly expect anywhere we go. I have 4 properties listed on VRBO. On June 10,2022, when accessing my dashboard, I noticed that a property had appeared on my dashboard, that is NOT my property, but a villa in France! I immediately called VRBO customer service on June 10 and reported this.

In the subsequent days I have called every day, have been on hold while each new agent tries to make head or tail of this, and in 7 days the issue is still unresolved. I have spent over 4 hours on the phone and countless other hours trying to research what to do in a case like this.

All I get is that the legal department is working on it.

Meanwhile my account os locked, I cannot access my dashboard or any information about upcoming guests, and I am panicking because people have paid for their vacations and I have no way of…

And I have complained for 6 months. They do nothing. Airbnb did - same company. LockeyPM and they even lied about the photos being old. They claim they are new.

I'm a host - supposedly a Premier Partner - have used this site for over 15 years when it was HomeAway and previously under another name: Holiday Rentals. Now I can't reach them on the phone!!! A reservation was made for May 27, paid in full and confirmed on February 6. This reservation was summarily cancelled with no reason given on May 3, too late to find reasonably priced accommodations. VRBO has a "Book with Confidence Guarantee" stating that when reservations are cancelled within 30 days, they will assist in finding similar accommodations.

I had several online chats with "Customer Service" reps who rudely refused to assist other than to send me the link to their website where I could search for rentals on my own and select them if I wished. One told me I should call the customer service number and then abruptly ended the chat.

Am a host on Vrbo with ID no 11008353. I got a guest from 1/4/22 to 04/04/2022 with Reservation ID HA-9MB8YS and till date am yet to get my payout. I was initially told it will be paid out on the 28th of April but nothing happened.

I contacted your customer service twice and this morning i got an email saying unfortunately they forgot to activate my account and that i know have to wait another 8 to 9 working days. I find this Rideculous, its not my responsibility to activate my account because they said it has not being used for a while.

When you make mistake then its your responsibility to rectify in a timely faction rather than telling me to wait another 9 working day. Payment takes seconds and not for ever. I will take this further if i dont get my funds as soon as possbile.

Booked a trip with vrbo they made the booking when I arrived after taking my money they stated that they accidentally double booked and my family and I had were in town for my sons AAU game So my self my son 15 my in-law whose is in late 70’s and and autistic adult arrive 1100 pm and there someone staying where I’m supposed to stay for the next 2 nights.

Called customer service and after about 30 minutes they realize some software didn’t work and they don’t know if they have anything available. They give me refund for the nights but due to more computer error they weren’t able to book a room for the night and they stated they would reimburse me for any expenses and they have not done that

Last December 2021, I reserved a condo from 23 to 27 June 2022 at Mont Tremblant. 3 Ironman. Each year I reserved more then 6 months in advance because I know, it a a very busy weekend and the good condo at a good price and good location are rare.

The location of the condo is very important that near by walk to Ironman site because on the morning event, I should be way up at 5 am. In 17 April 2022, the owner cancel my reservation without delay and without compensation and said I sold the property.

At that time, the condo are more expensive minimum 200 $ more per night and the condo are far from the Ironman site. Few condo are available. I called many time vrbo call center phone and email to explain the situation and nothing.

Worst and terrible customer service in the world, I've never left complaint anywhere before. Original payment of booking is over 2 years ago, and now customer service cannot do anything to help on security refund to a valid card. Just refer to talk to bank on customer end.

Not even mention during the COVID, the company did not do anything to protect the customer's benefit, no cancellation or anything guaranteed, just refer to talk to property owner directly. NEVER NEVER NEVER use this site.

I have been trying to get my payout for a booking I got a chargeback on January 26, 2022. The guest David Waack made the booking on December 31st, 2021. That same day he asked if he could park a boat in front of the property and I responded right away saying it was NOT allowed.

I also asked at the same time if he wanted to keep the booking. The guest never responded until January 25th, 3 days before his check in, when the cancellation policy was that he will not get a refund because it was less than 7 days before his check in.

In August 2021, we 6 mature adults rented a lake house in Maine through VRBO. on arrival, bedclothes in master bedroom were soiled with blood spots, dog hair and flea poop. Carpet in dining room also heavily soiled with dog hair, flea poop and and flea eggs.

We sent the Owner photos. He compalined that they were disgusting and why did we send them to him. Owner refused our request for exterminator and refused to offer us any compensation. His only offer was to have the same housecleaner come back and try again to leave a clean house.

My friends and I made a reservation in late August at property #2127368 in Mesa, AZ. Our reservation ID was HA-MDRP1T. We paid in full at that time for our vacation from February 26,2022 to March 5. When I messaged John Conover for more of an explanation of the Covid reason he did not respond.

This reason seems strange as Covid was more of an issue when the reservation was made than at this time. This caused us to quickly search for another property. We did fine one, but due to it being rather last minute we ended up paying $400 more for less space and amenities.

VRBO confirmed a unauthorized booking with a property (#2654928) VRBO said "apparently it was a glitch that allowed me to automatically book when owner's account was set to 24 hour review". They cancelled my reservation. It will take up to 5 days to get my refund (over 10K).

I was incorrectly charged by VRBO .. the owner consented to full refund . I was told for 4 days they could not process because of a technical glitch... no other explanation given. The customer service agents especially Owiena were rude , unhelpful and actually hung up on me.

I tried to rent a property and the property owner never took payment but I was charged the VRBO fee. I tried to contact the property owner by phone, VEBO app and Management Company via Facebook and they never responded.

It was two weeks before my rental and had to rent another property. I have called the VRBO number three times and spoke with three separate individuals and could barely understand them who provided no information, the second one hung up after placing me on hold and

I will NEVER go through VRBO again unless my issue has FULLY been resolved. VRBO isn’t screening their “HOSTS” at all to see if these HOSTS are in fact owners of their homes and NOT renters of an apartment complex!

I should have known from the beginning when the so called HOST put the wrong address on her ad so that her apartment complex wouldn’t find out that she was going AGAINST her lease and subletting her SUBSIDIZED unit out! Please refer to property case 34275102 My name is Lisa Jacobs and I booked and paid a deposit for a property which the seller accepted. Within 24 hours the seller messaged me to say that the property was not actually for rent yet 2023) and that the information on the site was wrong!

I accepted that and he directed me to cancel to receive a 100% refund, which I did asap. 08. I contacted by phone Vrbo and spoke to someone whose English was poor, spent over an hour on the phone and he told me he would get back to me which he didn’t.

The house we rented had only space heaters and would blow the fuse when we used just two. There is damage to all the doors which do not lock . The hot tub wasn’t cold which we had to turn it on by the outside pump, I burnt my hand as well.

We need your help with Reservation ID: HA-6CNLQG. We rented the VRBO at 7023 N. Chimney Rock Pl, Tucson, AZ 85718. We paid an extra $200 for two nights of spa/pool use. The first night the spa was not heating. Therefore, the owners/managers told us that they would reimburse us $100 for the first night. I messaged them and politely requested the refund. 74 in Hillsborough NC. I was immediately contacted by the owner (Jamie) through the VRBO portal (attached email enclosed). The owner clarified some items and said that I could cancel within 24 hours for a full refund. I cancelled ~ 10 minutes after I received her email.

Subsequently I only received a 50% refund from VRBO. I waited a few days and then reached out to the owner. I did not get anywhere with the owner so then I reached out to VRBO directly. They said they would request the owner refund the balance owed to me based on the communication they could see.

I am hopeful that you will be interested in pursuing the following matter regarding the Air B and B company VRBO and the owner Roman Bodnarchut the owner of 1 Elsie Lane in Toronto ON and a member of VRBO.

I'm a first-time user of Air B and B and so did an initial search online with travel and accommodation sites to inquire about an inexpensive Air B and B. I found that your group Expedia recommended VRBO as a reputable and inexpensive option for our trip to Toronto. I perused their site and on Sept 23 booked an accommodation in Toronto. I spoke to someone in a foreign country who said he would call me back and he never did. 50. She told me the refund was given on October 15, 2021. 21. She would not expedite this to the refund team because I would not send her a copy of my bank statement. Is she crazy????

I have been trying to rent property #4654976 in Trinity Newfoundland for 2 nights August 27-29 for at least two weeks for my daughter and myself. The website is having trouble processing my credt card. Capital One VISA says that there are no problems with my card and spoke to a vrbo agent; vrbo is not sending Capital One my security code or my mailing address.

On two occasions the vrbo Tech Dept. was supposed to call me but did not. Today two vrbo agents put me on hold, one for 30 minutes and the other for 15 mnutes. Who can make this reservation for me?

Owner canceled reservation 48 hours before the trip and kept host fees. Bill and Donna property # 93534 located in Orlando Florida. Owners wanted to go hiking and because a drivers license copy was not submitted before their own trip (not the 24 hour in advance as their policy states) they canceled causing so much distress and havoc. They did not bother to call or text the number provided to warn on cancelation in advance of normal policy.

I then learned there is no way on VRBO to leave a review when you did not stay at a property. Further reading shows Owners can cancel at any time they like with no penalty. Many owners state that they “ haven’t updated their calendars “ , and so after you spend a lot of time comparing options and deciding which venue to “ request” a booking with, you learn ( 24 hrs later) that “we’re sorry; we haven’t updated our calendar and we actually have family staying at this rental on those requested dates” or “ we are doery but we will still have a tenant then.

VRBO customer support for hosts stinks. Difficult-to-understand service people who use scripted templates and never resolve ongoing serious issues such as failure to post reviews in timely fashion (I've experienced this for 3 straight months), poorly designed email and text notifications, etc.

I've received promises that someone from escalation, technical or production team will call me back. Never happens. There literally is no email or phone number to talk to where you feel you can exert influence.

As a host, I am unimpressed and disgusted with VRBO! I appreciate the ability to market on their website to potential customers, but as a company (under Expedia), they should be ASHAMED!!!

We recently booked 5 days in Florida. The cost including housekeeping was $878. My husband is a veteran with diagnosed PTSD and we have a service dog in training for him. We told the owners. They said we have to send proof and an additional $70 would be added for housekeeping. I read the VRBO policy and from what I read all of the requirements from the host is not acceptable. The property I rented is fraudulently represented with images on line of a swimming dock that cannot be used. The owners are involved with litigation about their property with an immediate neighbour who was a stranger to us. This man verbally terrorized my family included my 3 year old grandson.

The Filters are not working! The pin turns grey on map if the filters are ticked! The property does not show on listings because of this. Travellers are not going to click on a grey pin, All Travellers are going to use filters! They are there for a reason so a traveler does not have to scroll through 1000s of properties. Five whole days I have complaining and nothing is being done. I am going to find out how I can make a complaint to an ombudsman> This site is only dedicated to people that have been using it for a long time. I used to advertise on three sites. VRBO did not honor their agreement to return 100% of total rental charge which was over $1400.00 if I cancelled before the 26th of August. I emailed VRBO on the 25th (Email to prove it) and requested the cancellation. Return email stated they would be in contact with me within the next 48 hours. Did not have a response until the 27th!! Now VRBO is keeping 50% of the total rental charge plus tax and cleaning fee.

Have made numerous calls to customer service to get my money back for a property that I was not able to get into since it is student housing and not available to the public. Tried contacting the host numerous times with no answer.

Have free cancellation until Sept. 12. Started cancellation process on July 16th. 95. I have sent three emails to the vrbo owner------no response from them either.

I am a homeowner in France. Listing no 8370976. I have not been paid for the past 3 rentals. Usually paid on day of arrival. I was asked to update my details ie my passport, several times. done several times. in correct file format.

I was then told on ringing call centre in USA in Friday 20th August, that I needed to have a French registration no with local town. I went to our village town hall, got one, put it on details. it was immediately put under my property details of a Raillere, Jegun. No payment.

I have spent 30 minutes to a USA call centre today, been put on hold, and this is still not resolved. I have a further rental tomorrow - 5 kids, plus parents for 3 days. a huge amount of work. m.

French time tomorrow I will refuse to let these people into the property - Claire Le Touze.…

I have had to call VRBO several times over the last three weeks due non payment for my guest rentals. I received partial payment for my first guest who arrived on July 17th , I had two sets of guests since then and have not received any payment.

I haver been calling twice a week and basically the customer service team are not able to help except to tell me that a=my case has been escalated to the technical team- who dont speak to customers !!! I have asked for a supervisor to call me to explain what is going on but told that supervisors wont be able to assist me.

VRBO owes me over 3,000 euro.

Today I spoke to a customer service officer called Tristan ( female) who would not tell me her surname neither would she give me the number of her supervisor Khervelle. ? she said he would not…

Failed to pay the correct rental income to my account. Slow response to dealing with the issue after highlighting the anomaly. Unable to find complaints policy or how to lodge a complaint against the company via the corporate website.

Host Kelli haus from broken bow, ok did not like my honest review of her property which had both positive and negative things to say. She has written me emails through vrbo that are hateful and nasty, completely unprofessional. I would not want this kind of host with my company if it were me.

You need to know whose representing you. I'm not the only not so great review she's had either, so it's not just my family.
