Waffle House

We went to the Waffle house at: 2615 Zelda Road, Montgomery, Al 36107 a few days ago. We arrived at 6:15 am and requested to go inside and have breakfast. A heavyset young Caucasian girl said "we're not open yet".

I told her it was 6:00 am and you guys should be open. She replied "I can't control the staff"- very rudely! I replied to her we haven't had a problem in the past. She turned around and walked away. How RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL.

I have been trying to call into the Waffle House located near my work and always getting a phone message they are focused on the Customers in the Store and not taking phone orders. Then when I pass it at 6 a.m. I see there is normally 1-2 cars in the parking lot. This is extemly aggrevating and I am certian it is hurting you revenue.

It's safe to say that all the Waffle Houses in Durham, North Carolina need to have just one shift during the day and close at night. Since all the locations here in Durham have went to online ordering only at night, these crews make up anything to keep from actually doing some work.

If they are not in a booth sleeping or on the phone they are outside taking smoke breaks. How does this happen night after night. WH was my go to place after work but now I find myself either going home or settling for something else to eat.

I've personally visited every WH in Durham late night and it seems this is the trend. I've been either been turned away or just walk out due to the sheer disgust of the lack of professionalism and cleanliness. WH corporation please address these issues in Durham North…

Stopped by Waffle House in Charlottesville, VA on route 29. My family and I sat down and looked at the menu provided. After the assumed manager told a waiter that she was UP, the waiter turned her back to us and continued to chat with other employees.

At this time we were the only patrons in the entire restaurant. Not only were we the only patrons, several of the staff turned to look at us and just turned around to continue their conversations. Staff was black we are a mixed white family. You do the math!!

How would we trust that staff to cook our food if we would have stayed, but being ignored we got up and walked out. One person shouted out to us on the way out, like that was to change our position. Approximately 2p 12-19-22

Nasa Road 1, Webster Texas, 9:55 am Jaylin - took my order and waited over 45 minutes to have my order made, because she said you only ordered one waffle to-go. Many people came after me and she had their order made ignoring me.

After 30 minutes I asked her why and she said "It's our policy to make sure people eating here are served first" This is not a good policy. No one was ordering waffles, so it would not have caused an issues.

At 45 minutes, I asked another worker if someone could help me and she asked Jaylin. She finally called out the waffle order. I did let her know she should be more considerate of people, and she said "I try" When someone tells me they will "try", to me it means "I plan on failing".

I waited almost 1 hour for 1 plain waffle for my grandson who has autism and…

I found a mouse turd on my plate two days ago. I said to my waitress there was a mouse turd on my sausage plate and she intern said something to the clerk and then the cop went and got the manager that was in the back room he came out and

said” how do you know it’s a mouse turd “? I told him that I used to do construction apartment maintenance and I am 64 years old and I think I’ve seen enough of them in my lifetime. I did not want to make a big deal out of it.

But the sarcasm that I got from the manager Was uncalled for. I sent returns to store number 1342. And it was the same waitress that waited on me that particular evening. She basically threw my food down on the table laid my receipt but did ask me if I wanted anything else she never returned .

I felt at that point I was no longer…

Went to your 8220 pineville-matthews rd location and was told “no to go orders”when it clearly was not busy. Person was rude and seemed really unbothered with anyone not sitting down. Employ better employees.

Went to waffle house on Mansfield rd. Went in. Sat down, no one said anything to us. It is 1:30 in the morning so it wasn't packed. We stay seated for 20 minutes and no one took our order. So we just left.

Wasn't even terrible service there wasn't any service at all.

Your store#1859 is in a lot of trouble..they are out of hasbrowns and there is half the tables need bussed...been waiting 15 mins and nobody seems to care if they get bussed or not...and this is a Saturday morning..we used to come here all the time but we are done with you...you have some very serious problems at this store...they need a bette staff and manager

First I have never seen or been to this waffle house service poor dirty unsanitary and then food wasn't good and they charged me 5 dollars paying for to go plates it was a waist of money I told my daughter to pass get a refund but she didn't I wished she had girl made orange juice no gloves gave us hot orange juice and I sat there 20 mins and those dishes were still there and they left when we came in

I called in a to go order on December 15 2022 @ around 3 something first wen the employee pick up I told her I wanted to place a to go order then she puts me on hold for 8 min i hearing laughter so finally she gets back to the phone & takes my order. when I arrive I see my order not ready or being fix the cook & host sitting in the booths laughing & joking only one customer was in there this has happened numerous of times at the dinwiddie Waffle House

I called yesterday to place a to go order. I got a recording saying that they were taking care of the customers in the restaurant and could not take to go orders. I went to click filet for breakfast and decided to drive by Waffel house to see why they were so busy at a little after 10:00 am.

There were 14 cars there. I’m assuming 4 or 5 were employees cars. So I guess Waffel house doesn’t want to go orders. We are customers to.

Love the food how ever you walk in the store and the music is that loud you can barely Talk , you practically have to talk over the music . People come to a restaurant to eat not to have there hearing blown out !

The cook this waffle house has does not know how to cook we had to send eggs back twice. We have been going to this place for years and we have noticed on several occasions that his mom tried covering for him as well.

He goes to back and doesn't wait on tables like he should. His name is DeJon Mitchell and works at location 1639

Waffle House Baton Rouge on College Dr is horrible, this guy by the name of Herb, constantly flirts with all the customers and has a loud odor of what appears to be weed. Very unprofessional. Every time I come there I feel violated, I will not be back.

I stop going to the one on Sherwood because of this creep.

We stopped at the waffle house at Strawberry Plains Pike north of Knoxville. This was by far the worst waffle house I have ever been to. The food was terrible. The grits were lumpy and sour. The toast was cold and loaded with cold butter.

The water had lemon floating in it instead of on the side of the glass. Lemons are not clean and they should not ever be submerged in the drink. They took the grits and toast back, and by the time they brought me some hash browns I had already finished the rest of my meal and was ready to leave, this makes me not want to ever go back to another waffle house.

I will stick with huddle house and IHOP. The server, however, was very nice, so I made sure to give her a good tip, regardless of a poor quality of food.

I went in there and the cook was in the back with a female who did not have a uniform on and little kids it was one person and it was a young girl who helped me out she was the only one helping me when I came in she even cooked myfood and she's not a cook this is the people you hire you need a new cook it was 2nd shift the waffle house on 161 in Columbus ohio

Store #336 in Richmond Hill GA has terrible service AND turned away customers for 30 minutes at 9pm because the three employees sat at the low bar to take a break! As customers came in they told them they were on break at 9 and they could wait thirty minutes if they wanted.

We had already been served and asked if that happened every night and the server said that was the only way they could get a break. We go to Waffle House a lot and have never seen that happen.

Today makes the second time that I have encountered this particular cook out of the three times that I have been to the Caldwell Mill waffle House location. The first time I went to that location the cook was also acting as the server and I felt incredibly sorry for him as he was really busting his ass because of being understaffed.

That was the first time and although it took me an hour to be served I didn't mind because the server/cook was doing such a great job under the ridiculous circumstances that his company had put him in. It just makes me see the waffle House franchise and a bad light honestly and I'm pretty sure that no one Incorporated thanked him for doing such an amazing job that night.

In you store 1433 I seen the head cook smoking pot in the back you could smell it in the parking lot it was about 10 am and they had a black shirt on

After 3 visits within 3 weeks, giving notice that the grits were cold. Even though my wife and I went to another restaurant with the same problem, is this a normal situation for cooking the grits. The only reason for 3 stars is for the people, grits 1star.

On December 8 at approximately 6:35 AM I ordered a ham and cheese omelette with grits and toast a waffle and it was at the waffle house on Highway 14 in Lake Charles Louisiana. My waffle was so disgusting. It tasted like just pure burnt it didn’t even have a shape of an omelette.

It was so nasty my dog would not even taste it from off my spoon. I did come back to the waffle house and the next shift said that they remember when I just left and they fixed me a new order.

Night Shift was very dissatisfied and I will no longer be eating from that waffle house again

I came in to make an order to go, I just had a procedure and needed to be home. I was told before ordering anything that I’d be taxed a 20% gratuity in case I wasn’t going to tip.

I thought they were kidding. Clearly I planned on tipping the team preparing my food. I asked for the manager and some young kid came out and said “I just work here”.

I am appalled, especially because I visited 2 days ago and received excellent service from an entirely different team in store.

It’s frustrating that our Waffle House in McMinnville Tennessee will not answer the phone. I know they have the recording saying they are serving inside customers but it’s a lie after 10pm through the week they are lucky to have 3 customers. It’s just laziness they don’t wanna answer the phone because then they have to work instead of outside smoking.

I live 1 mile from this waffle house. Wife and I (both 70 years old) went to have breakfast; short story, bacon burned on edge and fat part like rubber, hash browns cooked on 1 side only; eggs over easy, fair; had to spit out the waffles because center uncooked.

Turns out I asked to see the batter and YOU COULD NOT POUR IT because it looked thick like dough to cook bread, they used a ladle to dip it out on the waffle iron. I told the lady what was wrong and thought I was stupid.

NO TRAINING on how to cook AT ALL. I went across the street to DENNY'S.

Went to the Waffle House on Berkeley in Goldsboro Nc. Service was horrible and food was disgusting. We frequent Waffle House atleast once a week in Kinston and have never had such horrible service as we did today in Goldsboro.

We live in south Texas, on the weekend of t he 27 of November we drive up to Arlington for a family funeral. We stayed at a Hotel in Burleson. After the viewing at the funeral home, we went back to the Hotel.

We stopped a wonderful sight!!! A WAFFLE HOUSE restaurant. As we walked inside a waitress who was coming from her smoke break nearly pushed my mother- in- law out of the way. ( my moter in law uses a walker).

We set down and waited for some acknowledgment that we were seen.

Finally a waitress came to tell us that the booth was closed. So we moved. a patron feeling bad for us called one of the waitress and told her that we had been sitting there for a while. ". The other 2 waitresses just hung around the cook and continued with their own conversation. So we left.

After the funeral…

Table was dirty floor was slippy and found a hair in my food and when i showed it to the waitress she just racked it in the trash like it was no big deal. And still paid full price for 2 meals that couldn't be finished. Very rude and completely nasty

The cook tonight at WH location #2212 was awful! Throwing his utensils, throwing and dropping plates and bowls and talking very hateful to the servers. Disagreeing with them when they called out orders. The servers were trying their best to be helpful.

He walked off to the back with food cooking. My husband’s hash browns order was incorrect and server asked him to remake them but he didn’t. I tried to upload an image but it was too large. People were waiting on part of their orders.

Just a very unpleasant experience tonight.

Waffle house on 53 at 255 in Huntsville.. Cook arguing with employees got my order completely wrong I waited over 15 minutes for Coffee and 45 minutes for the meal and it was incomplete and wrong. Worst experience at this Waffle House ever and there's been a few.

I came into the Waffle House on highway 90 this morning, there was a bulldike on the grill , our food was cold , she wouldn’t remake it and made us pay for it , our server name Caitlyn told us to contact corporate. I knew the dike from the store up the street , she’s nasty when cooking food , it always come out sloppy . Somebody should fire this dike

LOCATION:(BanksCrossing)Commerce, Georgia 11/26/22 around 6am. The lady that served us age;50's-60's. Her grandson/son age;12 or 13yrs old. Brought our silverware he was mishandling also drop it and tried to give it to my wife and I. The older lady serving was clearly on drugs she could not do our order correct because she could not sit still.

Her and the grandson/ son appeared they haven't bath I'm several day. I eat at this location twice a week, the worse experience I ever had.

The waitress was completely rude, she gave my family poor service. She argued with me and even a customer at the highbar jumped up threw his silverware off the table and got into my face nothing was done.

I pulled up at the Waffle House on 138 in Riverdale ga and they tell me they are closed for 30 mins to make some damn grits that cook them selves store # 1721but it’s 3 people in the there just sitting down!!! That’s what I call lazy that’s why they are not making any money

I am a Veteran and a Waffle House regular. Because of recent traveling I haven't had an opportunity to enjoy my regular mornings at Waffle House.

Upon returning, I went to my regular WH... #768. I was informed I will not receive, nor will any Veteran receive a small discount offered and appreciated...? Why? Doesn't WH not care or honor the sacrifices of our Veterans anymore?

We're struggling more now! Our country isn't supporting Vets. WH was always steadfast for Vets!

My children and myself came into Waffle House for a quick bite to eat before church tonight. There are 5 people working. We have sat here for 30 mins at the bar without drinks or anything. Then, the lady washing dishes has sprayed us with water 3 times, Put cleaner on the counter top, in-front of my food, not to mention the rudeness of everyone is unacceptable!

There are only 3 other people/customers in here. No reason for this to take this long and us to be treated this way. We ordered Allstar breakfasts and a CB platter. I am a patient person but this is not okay.

Now I don’t have time to stop anywhere else and we have been sprayed with dirty water.

arrived 12 mins on hold while I entered the store. It wants busy but I immmediately ask for the manager moments after i arrived. I was then given the district manager whom then I showed the active call that his restaurant had placed me on hold.

I asked him to locate the store phone and he had no idea where it was. Never…

This Waffle House is 1 of the worse ones. You walk in and they playing on their phones while there are dirty tables, they do Not greet you in or out. You say thank you and apparently they don't know what that means.

We never get all of our food together. We were sitting there waiting for soneone to clean a table, once they cleaned 2 tables not 1 person said we have a table ready. We went sit ourselves and waited to be noticed.

Store #134 I called several times before anyone answered. Placed my order which was hash browns smothered, covered and chunked hot to work I have hash browns with eggs on top, immediately called saying my order is wrong and a lady say bring it back we will remake it.

I said I don’t eat breakfast at night I would like a refund. Ok, I get off work stop by asking for a refund with the food and Receipt in my hands. They tell me no refund u have to get a refund on the shift u purchased it on.

That’s crap and you lost my business.

I ate at the Waffle House on Old Milton Pkwy, Alpharetta, Ga. on Wednesday 11/16/22. When I was seated, I had to move to another area as the fan on the heating/cooling system was blowing strong air from the system which was causing the window shades to flap to and fro.

My second seat was just as bad. I asked if there something that they could do about the situation and I was told that they cook with gas and it was the way it had to be. The waitress certainly was not concerned that their customer was uncomfortable.

I had to wear my winter coat the whole time I sat there and my food was icy cold before I could salt and pepper my eggs. I stayed only a few minutes, asked for a to-go box and left. WHAT AN UNPLEASANT SITUATION.

Needless to say, I won't be going back there.....

On 11/17/22 at 7:31pm we were at waffle house in Brinkley Arkansas and the cook and waitress were cussing each other and screaming. Service was awful as well. Got food before drinking and food was not correct. I love eating at Waffle House don't get me wrong but last night was uncalled for.

Went into the Walton way location in Augusta Georgia this morning, was there about 20 mins waiting for a simple double hash brown with mushrooms onions and cheese with a side of bacon and sausage. I heard the waitress tell the cook I wanted light hash brown.

The cook messed my order 2 times. When I finally got my food the presentation was horrible. The cook didn’t add my ingredients ins the hash own she just dump everything together. I wasn’t all of that time at the restaurant and I result I had no lucch.

If I could put zero starts i would. Was in orlando visiting family and we all diecided to order from here. We will not be back staff rude and very dirty when walked in anyways the food qas all wrong on everyorder everything was cold just wont eat here again thanks it was a order for 8 people big expensive and worth nothing..
